Had the OMG burger, the Great Dane dog, and the fries and ale dip. The OMG burger was salty, but the Great Dane dog was really good. The fires and ale dip was odd. It was like a watery cheese dip. It tasted ok but the consistency was too watery for me. I wanted to drizzle the sauce on top of my fries but it was a bit too watery for that. I've been here a few times now because its close to my office, and I looove their food. My favorite is the Black and Bleu burger with sweet potato fries. Burger 21 has various dipping sauces that pair well with the sweet potato fries. As a healthier option, I've also had their Mediterranean burger (veggie burger) and really liked that as well. I've had a lot of burgers in my life and this place is definitely at the top of the list of best burgers ever. Juicy beef, soft and warm buns, and some really tasty fries. I like thin fries and these fries are similar in size to Mcdonalds but somehow taste way better and fresher. One thing I like about eating here is that I don't feel like crap afterwards. No matter how many burger spots open up in the Northern VA area, I keep coming back to Burger 21 because honestly, no one does it like them. If you have not tried this place yet, please do. One of the best burgers that I have had in my life! It's so great to experience something so basic, so familiar, executed absolutely flawlessly, and made into something amazing. The menu is very straight forward and approachable. Burger 21 offers a wide array of gourmet burgers, and several alternatives. The burgers are served on a brioche roll and are made of really fresh black angus meats. I loved the sweet potato fries. The chef suggested that we try them with their sweet mesquite sauce. Love the fact that they have more than just a black bean burger for vegetarians. They have a sauce bar, ragin cajun/chipotle mayo are a must try! I like how you can pick any burger from the menu and just replace the patty in it. Having said that i feel the patty could do with a little more flavours, it wasn't seasoned enough. Don't believe the hype. Expensive for a burger, shake, and fries. All ordinary and really not tasty. Not $20 tasty anyway. Fries were undercooked & tasteless. The burger was dinky & by the time it got to me was cold. If you gave me a blind taste test between a Burger 21 shake and a McDonald's shake, I can honestly say I wouldn't be able to tell them apart. This place is no Melt or even Red Robin as far as gourmet burgers go, and falls more on the quick eats chain burger domain, in my opinion in which case, it's way too pricey for what you get. The Habit Burger & In 'n Out still top out my burger go-to list other than one of my favorite independent family-run deli/grill joints in Crystal City (Century Cafe). My burger was too salty and fries were soggy and salty.I wonder why they add salt or they don't realise it.got my dessert before my burgers which I didn't understand as to the server said we should let them know next time if we need desserts later..isnt that common sense that desserts are served after the main course. This place is not your typical burger place. Orders are done through POS and you are given a number sign that you place on your table where the staff brings out your food. The burgers here I would say were fantastic. I was very surprised by how much I enjoyed the beef, bread, and overall presentation of the burger. It's not huge, or small, its just right. I love both the regular fries and sweet potato fries. They were cut thin and crisp and were delivered warm and fresh. (The sweet potato fries are layered with a some powdered sugar). What separates this burger restaurant from others is their assortment and selection of sauces. I recommend dipping a fry in each one to see which one fits your taste buds best. For Dessert their shakes are second to none. I had the strawberry shortcake and highly recommend it. It wasn't overly sweet like other places and had some cake bits in as well which was a great finish. The $$ is on the higher side but you get what you pay for in an incredible experience for your mouth. Make sure to download the app to get a free cheeseburger. On a side note, I didn't like their burger salads. the meat didn't seem as fresh and juicy when ordered in a salad. Have yet to try the hot dogs and other options. read more

Delicious. Loved that you can such a variety of sauces my favorites were the honey mustard, the apple cider. The toasted marshmallow sauce was really good on the sweet potato fries. I got the kids size burger with sautéed mushrooms and despite being surprised that it was the size of a slider it was extremely satisfying. The cheese and ale sauce was good, the bacon and scallions made it, but generally I don't like cheese sauce so i doubt I'd get it again. Memphis BBQ special burger also looked small although it was 1/3 lb plus shredded pork my son said it was 4 star. Would come back for sure. read more

My biggest issue with this restaurant is not just with the mediocre food, but also lack of customer service. We placed an order online last Friday to pick up our food. When we got home, we saw that the meal we ordered my daughter was missing. Instead of driving back to the restaurant, I decided to call to notify them and ask for a refund for that missing part of the meal. The manager told me they will issue a refund but I have yet to see it come through. Instead, I was charged the full amount despite missing a third of our order. When I called the restaurant again a few days later, the manager confirmed with me that the refund was issued and if I don't see it come through, I can stop by for a $10 gift card to the restaurant. So infuriating! Why would I want $10 to a restaurant that essentially took $$ from me without providing the service that I paid for? Still waiting to see evidence of a refund 5 days later...I hate leaving bad reviews, but I feel like I need to warn future customers. read more

This is the perfect 4 star burger restaurant. Nothing wrong with it, but a lot right. Overly attentive service was nice. A wide variety of dipping sauces to choose from. From what it looks like amazing milkshakes. Good fries if you like thin fries. Now the burgers, good to great burgers. Not in the "best" category. I save that word for Melt burgers in Leesburg. There are a lot of things to like about this place. the good: Service was excellent! Very attentive for a place where you pay first. The fries are excellent. McDonalds fry style, but with a great selection of sauces. The burger patty was perfectly cooked. The so-so: I ordered the Cinco burger. While the flavor was great, it got really messy very quickly. I don't completely blame the juice in the burger either. Maybe it's due to the many gooey toppings. They might want to try toasting the buns to help them stay together longer. Pretty good place; head and shoulders above the close by Jacks Way Back (wont be back to Jacks again, staying way back from that place) yet I digress. Wife ordered a burger 21 and I had a hot dog 21. The rolls were really good and both came out cooked correctly (OK, hot dogs are different then a medium cooked burger but you can F-up a dog). Wife did nit think the burger was greasy at all and quite juicy. Did think the diced onion was diced too small/fine on my dog but person preference. The stand-out of the meal was the fries; very thing and very good. Way better than the highly revered 5-Guys fries which actually pretty much suck in my opinion. The large fries here was quite small for probably most peoples taste but we were not looking for too much food so worked for us. The sauces were interesting especially the Marshmallow. Kind of a weaker Horsey Sauce but I mixed it with the sweet thai chili and it was killer. Prices also were pretty good for the area. Will be back again. Solid 4.. read more

I saw the photos outside and drying would give this place a try. The burgers looked great. First, they give you the choice of Wagyu beef in your burger for a MINIMAL up charge. Real Wagyu beef is very expensive so I'm not sure you're getting what they are selling. But aside from that, I expected a nice, juicy burger. The staff was very polite but what I got when my food came was a thin burger that looked kind of like a McDonald's burger- you know that color that isn't quite the same color as if you made it at home or ordered it at BRG next door? It was edible. The sweet potato fries are great but overly salted so try them before you salt anything yourself. The worst part though was I went with a friend. We each got a burger (regular beef), fries and large drinks. My bill was 43.00!!! I died. I appreciate their effort but they need to work on who their meat supplier is. If you're dying for a juicy burger with FRESH meat (they cut and grind it on site) , got next door to BRG and get the BRG burger. That's a big juicy burger for 12.00 and comes with fries. We went there on Saturday 3/10...right before closing. I got the burger of the month, the Steak Frites. I thought it was great, I'm a bit sad that it won't be there soon. We also love their french fries and the sauces. I love the Rajun Cajun sauce for fries and my wife likes Apple Cider & Thai Ketchup. She got the shrimp burger and it was OK. It was over spiced and all she could taste was the sriracha -- I think it's the first time something was over seasoned. Usually everything is bland. She really like my burger and had several bites. We didn't get to try a shake because the shake bar had closed down (as it was only 30 minutes from closing) Of all our visits to Melt, Burger Fi, and Burger 21 we both think this is the best of the bunch. read more

New guys in town! Our family use to go to burger fi in leesburg but after we discover this joint we are dining at this place pretty regularly. Good selection for burgers. The service is exceptional! It's like they have the nicest people on the planet working there. I went 5 min til closing and felt bad about it but they still served me and were very happy about it! Service gets a 5 star rating consistently. Shakes are amazing! The hotdogs are really good, too; I've had them twice. Got a super fresh salad there with grilled chicken. The salad was great but I couldn't tell a difference between their grilled chicken and the grilled chicken that you might get at a Wendy's or Subway so, that was disappointing. Sweet potato fries are really very good. The regular fries are meh. The hamburgers - I only had a burger here once. They asked me how I'd like it cooked, I said medium rare plus. It came out well done and had minimal flavor and was very dry. I did not think it was worth the calories so I only had a couple of bites. I've never ordered another burger. Since I rarely eat burgers, when I have a craving for one I want it to be so good that I don't look up from my plate until the entire thing is gone. I'd definitely go back for the sweet potato fries, a shake, (occasionally) a hot dog and a salad with no chicken in it. Pros: Burger and buns good. The quality of the food stays consistent of my past two visits. Thai Ketchup is awesome! Cons: The price, all in for a lunch at over $13 bucks with a specialty burger or sliders without a drink. Last, is the only special they have is on Thursday which is the sliders. on the website clearly states $5.99 yet they charge $6.99 at the store. ( Might want to get some better take out materials, fries not even close to tasting the same as dine in) Its a good but not great burger. Maybe instead of having some of the highest prices in the franchise they move the cost down and you would see me more then a few times a year. read more

While it took about 15 min for my to go order to make it my way, the customer service really stood out! I understand that at 6;30pm there are going to be delays because it's likely a peak time for consumers to pick up or dine in. A gentleman that I presume to be the store manager asked me if I was waiting on a shake to which I responded I was waiting on food. I had a to go bag from another business so I understood his confusion. He checked on my order and let me know it would be the next one out. Within a minute, a kind woman, wearing a black button down shirt that I presume to be a shift or assistant manager handed me my order and even offered to place it in my other bag. It was her smile and pure joy that had me walking out in a smile. It doesn't always work, but having that bright attitude when I'm sure they had to deal with some not so understanding people, truly makes a difference in someone's experience. read more
