Eah. I was hungry, and it was... ok. I say like a step up from a Wendy's. It felt like it was trying to compete with five guys. Burger was ok, but too much mustard and too little ketchup. Bun wasn't toasted and the bottom bun turned to mush by the end of the meal. The big problem was the pricing of the sides. A single patty burger is 7.50. Thats fine, and seems reasonable by today's standards, but then it costs $7 to add fries and a drink to the meal. Thats way too much. All the sides are just too expensive. read more

The chicken BLT here is great! I really enjoyed the crunchy and fresh preparation of the chicken sandwiches. The burgers here aren't anything special to do backflips over... but they do offer a well prepared and freshly grilled burger. I would say it is on par with a five guys. The fries and onion rings are crisp and well cooked. I enjoyed everything here, including the kids meals for my kids. If you're in the area it's a good place to try! Delicious burger, had the Rodeo burger and fries combo. Was so tender and juicy with perfect amount of sauce. This place is definitely underrated! The side options look delicious and they have salads, vegan options and chicken options too. The donut shake was fantastic too and I highly recommend trying a shake. Clean and friendly establishment. I was looking forward to trying the burgers from here, as I've driven by it so many times. I was able to order my burger with ease. However, she asked if I wanted a combo, so I said sure, could I get onion rings, are they included? Yes, then she asked me what soda I wanted, so I asked if I get a bottle of water, is it extra? No. Apparently a "combo" is not like a fast food combo that is pre-priced; instead, you pay the the actual price for the drink and fries/onion rings. So NO it's not included and is extra. I ordered a cheeseburger with grilled onions, mushrooms, swiss cheese and mayo/ketchup. I was waiting by the counter, so I watched them make the food. I'm not sure if she was being stingy with the onions/mushrooms butI had to ask her to put more of the grilled onions/mushrooms on my burger. The meat patty was pretty dry and there really wasn't enough of the onions and mushrooms. The onion rings were amazing, and the mac & cheese bites were pretty good too, but not very cheesy. They are very clean though, I noticed that they were always handling the food with gloves. At one point, I saw the girl change her gloves, so that's part of the reason for the two stars, otherwise, I'd have given one. I came here for the burger/onion rings on my first visit and came back another day for the mac & cheese bites. I can't say that I would definitely return... The ventilation is terrible, so your clothes will smell like grease and your face will be coated with a thin layer of grease once you step inside the quick service restaurant. The owner/manager was a bit rude when I used a Yelp check-in coupon. He couldn't figure out how to enter it in their point of sale system and his employee had to ring it up al over again, which caused the line to back up. Of course, this is happening during dinner time so I felt like laser eye balls staring at my back. Other than the powerful greasy smell and feel, this is an okay alternative to the other hamburger joints in the area. If this place fixes their ventilation, I can bump them to A-okay status. read more

Visited Wayback Burgers on a Tuesday night and was surprised to see it slightly empty. But with only two people working they were sure busy! My boyfriend and I decided to come to Wayback burger because they were the healthiest option! Burger 21, though great, has so much sodium in their burgers (2000+ mg) and honestly is Red Robin even that good anymore? My boyfriend got the classic burger and I got a kids burger. A bit confused when they kept asking what we would like on the burger because they show great photos of their burgers and it's like "I want the photo" but as some other reviewers have said they do charger you per item (ie: lettuce, tomato, pickle). Was a bit surprised of the price when a burger, kids meal and milk shake came up to $18. Over all the meat looked fresh, their meat to bun ratio is good and definitely tased home made. Also, I thought they had jr milkshakes but I didn't even see that on their menu...not complaining for more milkshake but a girl trying to watch how much she consumes lol. Chocolate milkshake was okay...personally prefer Wendy's or Cook Out. If I'm not in the mood to make my own burgers I'll definitely come back to Wayback Burgers and not those other guys. read more

Remember that close to 100 degree day we just had????? Hot weather lead me here as I saw the milkshake sign posted on the front door. With my mind made up, if they did not have Cookies and Cream, I was out the door!! Imagine my surprise when they not only had Cookies and Cream but it was close to the best milkshake I have had in a while!!! Smooth and creamy with big supple chunks of oreo cookies sprinkled throughout, I found myself in milkshake heaven. Now, I did not have a burger but I did get an order of fries to go with that shake and they did not disappoint either. Crispy, hot and not greasy. No complaints here. Who's ready for the TripleTriple Challenge? Yes folks they offer a burger that has nine patties, also known as the diabetes burger. Anyone wanna try?? If you do, let me know because I'd like to meet anyone who survived it. Ha! +Service- really nice employees! One guy even went around to ask if we needed anything. +Burgers- my fiancé ordered the Cheesy burger with 4 different types of cheese and extra bacon. I ordered the patty melt with extra thousand island dressing. I liked how they buttered their buns and put them upside unlike a normal burger. Different concept, not like we needed butter but it was good. The patty was just okay to me, nothing special. +Mac and cheese bites- small...tiny actually. Don't get them. +Chili cheese fries- decent amount of fries with some chili poured on top. I didn't think the chili was the worst but it needed more flavor. Felt boring to me. Overall, I'd say stick to 5 guys. It was about $25 for 2 burgers, 2 drinks with the mac and cheese bites and chili cheese fries. I didn't think that was too expensive but they need to work a little more on their burger seasoning and making their bites a bit bigger and some thicker chili. I'd come back and try it again! My friend and I came in to get a hearty lunch before a several hour hike. The staff was super friendly and helpful, as we were interested in trying and knowing more about their $5 meals: a one patty cheeseburger with choice of three cheeses (and can be ordered "way back style" with lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, mustard and ketchup), plus fries. Or chicken tenders with fries. Both $1 additional for a drink. It was too good a deal to pass up, so we both got them wayback style with American cheese. I'll admit I wasn't expecting high quality because of the price and was okay with that. My expectations however were too low. I was blown away by the softness of the bun and the freshness of the toppings; the burger itself was delicious. The fries were also very good. I was glad I didn't get two parties; although just under a lb (3oz Patty), I was more than adequately fed. Id like to come back and try their milkshakes, grilled chicken sandwich, etc. I'm not a Pepsi product fan, but they also have sweetened and unsweetened iced teas and lemonade (not sure on price). So, I was back in town, in the Ashburn/Broadlands area, and you know what that means... my family has an excuse to eat out! My brother wanted to try Wayback Burger. I looked at their menu online (like I usually do prior to trying a new place). Anyways, I agreed; their menu looked yumm-o. We decided to try the online delivery service on their website because we were lazy and hey... it's all about convenience sometimes. It wasn't until an hour later that Wayback Burger called saying that the delivery service was unavailable. In short, we had to put up the order ourselves. Not too much of a big deal but it would have been nice if we were notified much sooner. However, due to the inconvenience, they included two large milkshakes. The milkshakes were sooo bomb.com! The food on the other hand was just okay. It didn't look like the advertised burgers online. I got the Philly cheesesteak. I know it was not a real Philly cheesesteak but I still expected a little more. I'm not crazy about this place. But if you're in the mood for some fries and a milkshake then go here! This is definitely one of my favorite burger spots overall , and it's the best in the ashburn area! Can't go wrong with the cheeesy burger or the rodeo burger. The sides are fire! You have to get the Mac & cheese bites and some O'fries (onion rings and fries combo). The best part is their customer service ! I ordered on Uber eats (F uber eats , don't use them) and the uber driver took an extra 40 min to deliver my food, so when it arrived it was cold. Uber took no responsibility but Wayback stepped right in and made sure I was happy even tho it wasn't them that caused the problem. I got the southwest chipotle burger. It wasn't bad and had a kick from the jalepenos. From the looks of it, it doesn't look that great, but it tastes better than it looks. I think it's just ok.. not overly dripping in oil, but it's still pretty oily. I do like the taste of their meat. It's tender and different than other places. Not sure how to explain it. I enjoyed my meal here with these guys. I work in the area yet had never been inside or even knew about them being in the area. Customer service, no complaints. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating to my picky ways. Luckily for me there was no line behind as I kind of took a bit longer than average to make my decision. I recommend you check out the buffalo chicken sandwich as that was what I eventually decided upon. Food is typical American fare, I like the flavor here and also enjoyed the fresh toppings. Great service, burgers are perfectly cooked and juicy, and since I am a huge fan of cheese they get an A+++ for the cheeezy burger! Mediocre burgers at best, and REALLY bad service. I ordered on their website, sat in my car until the time they said it would be ready, then went into the restaurant. One employee told me it would be ready in 7-10 more minutes. It wasn't ready for another 20-25. During that time, several people walked in, ordered food on the spot, received their orders, and left. It was busy either - maybe three other people in the restaurant at any one time, max. When the employee finally handed me my order (which was only two burgers, not at all complicated), she also tried to hand me a milkshake I didn't even order, then giggled and said, "This wasn't on your ticket, was it? Thanks for your patience." The burgers were soggy - they don't toast their buns, and relatively flavorless. Not horrible, but not nearly worth a 45 minute wait. Go to a McDonald's, sit in your car for 45 minutes, then go through the drive through and you can have roughly the same experience. read more

We ordered two burgers, two drinks, a side of fries and a side of onion rings. My burger was the cheesy burger, I believe it was #1. I devoured it and immediately needed to go wash my hands after. I thought the fries and onion rings were cooked perfectly. The only reason I didn't give this place 5 stars is because both of our burgers were either missing toppings or included toppings we did not ask for, even though we were the only people at the restaurant. These three stars are for the burgers, because they're pretty darn good. The customer service, however, deserves no stars. We came in last Friday night and ordered two burgers, two orders of fries, and a side of onion rings. When the food came out, the fries were missing. We checked the receipt and sure enough the fries were missing. The cashier forgot to ring them up; an honest mistake, no big deal! When we asked for the fries, one of the cooks came over and accused my girlfriend of attempting to freeload even though she asked how much she had to pay. When the fries came out, the cook rudely dropped them in our bag causing them to spill everywhere. I've never heard of anyone ever receiving treatment like this from someone in customer service. My biggest issue is that my order is almost always wrong and it takes extremely long to even get the food-so you either have to wait even longer for your order to be fixed or just eat whatever they decide to give you. I'm also not a fan of the manager either.
