I was a bit surprised that the sauce was on the side, but it was a good choice since I got to decide how much to use. The dish was delicious - fresh ingredients prepared well with broccoli and peppers still crunchy. Even without the sauce I found it appropriately flavorful. TLDR: This restaurant is still great and a favorite of my wife and I. Affordable hibachi bowls that taste great! The owner is awesome and provides for the customers. My wife and I usually come here a few times per year and it's always solid. The food quality is still very high after all this time. I typically go for the chicken and steak bowl with white rice, all the veggies and all the free toppings. You get a good amount of food for the price honestly. It always tastes fresh and you can see it being made right the and there. It's not something that's just warmed up. They recently just opened the other part of the restaurant and now have a dining room! This is in addition to the outdoor tables the have, which are great for enjoying the good weather with your food. But the dining room has ample seating and has a couple of TVs. The owner, Ryan, is super cool. He always remembers my wife and I when we come in. He's super kind and loves to talk with his customers. It shows that he actually cares about his business. My husband and I came straight from the hospital with our newborn baby to get some delicious food! Yum Yum Hibachi was even better than the first time I had it their opening week. Fresh, flavorful food and the best yum yum sauce EVER The salmon and filet mignon portions were perfect, tender and beautifully seasoned. Banana rolls were amazing. I love this place ànd their diet accommodations they have for me. However, due to work schedule I don't get to eat here as much I could be. I dont get days off during the week BUT today I took the afternoon ànd the first thing it came to my mind was yum yum lunch. I ordered in advanced, pick up and when I get home I noticed instead of cauliflower rice I got noodles... I won't ever order noodles at any restaurant at all... I don't eat noodles. I called, explained ànd was offered to go back and get the right order or for the charge to be refunded. I wish the order was right as after getting home it's super hard to go back .. on top of that I said no mushrooms ànd lots of mushrooms ... I hope they actually return my money. I really like Yum Yum Hibachi! The front staff was really patient and was quick with suggestions when I said that it was my first time trying their food and wasn't quite sure what to get. I decided on a chicken bowl with white rice, green onions, sesame seeds, eggplant and water chestnuts. I also ordered 2 spring rolls. The chicken bowl I think was delicious; I would've liked the spring rolls to have a little bit more flavor. The portion sizes are a little bit too small for me, but I tend to eat a large portion sizes (so this may be a me issue). They don't have indoor dining, but do have plenty of tables and chairs as well as benches outside with umbrellas. It's very low-key. They can get really busy from what I've seen with a lot of takeaways, online orders as well as dine-in customers. I didn't have very long to wait until my food came out, though. The gentleman helping us as we arrived was beyond welcoming, friendly and helpful. Service was awesome! My boyfriend ordered the Chicken & Shrimp Hibachi and I got a Chicken Hibachi. Did not lack in flavor and plentiful of protein in the bowl. We both got the fire yum yum sauce (the spiciest they have and it had a nice kick but also really good flavors). Definitely not what I expected. It wasn't an actual sit down restaurant. It's a very small indoor spot with enough space for like 4-5 people to stand at the register and order food. I will be going back more often cause the food was fire! Honestly it's a way better deal than the traditional hibachi spots. You get a huge bowl of your food for $15. With it being a take out spot, I was able to order my meal at the front register and it came out in a timely manner. Staff here were also very friendly! The Atmosphere: The hibachi restaurant is mostly a take out spot, however there are some outdoor tables for you to sit at. But it's basically just a walk up kiosk and ordering type of deal. My wife recently placed an online order for this trending hibachi spot in my neck of the woods. I was parked outside the establishment as my wife was discussing the order details with me over the phone. As soon as the order was placed, I walked in to let them know that I'm waiting to receive my order. I asked the gentleman at the counter how long it would take to complete it and he said "7 minutes". Surely enough, after 7 minutes my order was ready. The order was completed correctly with the indicated modifications and allergy alerts. The place is mostly to go. They have some picnic tables with benches outside and a huge order window. On that day it was particularly hot out so their window was closed. Although inside was still relatively cool, considering that they have an open kitchen with two big flat tops blasting heat and it being so hot outside. My wife said the online order process was seamless, straight forward and user friendly. We both ordered their steak hibachi bowls which were generous in portion. The steak was soft and flavorful, we both opted for fried rice and that was tasty as well. The zucchini, onion and broccoli were cooked well and also had nice umami and texture. Nothing was mushy. This is considering that I drove home and the food was consumed about 45 minutes after picking it up. You certainly get a good amount of food for the price you pay and the quality is not sacrificed. Awful delivery experience. Ordered two entrees online, for delivery. Was initially contacted, via text, acknowledging my order, and providing an estimated delivery window. A minute before the end of that window, I received an apology text, saying my order would be delayed by about 5 minutes. 20 minutes later, still no order, so I called the store. I was told that someone picked up my order. So I hung up and called the driver's number, provided in the text. The driver answered and told me that he was on the way to the restaurant to pick up the order. This place is a good location in the center of old town Ashburn. There was a small line but service moves quickly and the manager was friendly. The steak has tons of flavor as well as the chicken. We loved the mix of veggies and options for sauces. There's only outdoor picnic tables but it's perfect to enjoy your meal and watch bikes go by on the trail.
