TLDR: This restaurant is still great and a favorite of my wife and I. Affordable hibachi bowls that taste great! The owner is awesome and provides for the customers. My wife and I usually come here a few times per year and it's always solid. The food quality is still very high after all this time. I typically go for the chicken and steak bowl with white rice, all the veggies and all the free toppings. You get a good amount of food for the price honestly. It always tastes fresh and you can see it being made right the and there. It's not something that's just warmed up. They recently just opened the other part of the restaurant and now have a dining room! This is in addition to the outdoor tables the have, which are great for enjoying the good weather with your food. But the dining room has ample seating and has a couple of TVs. The owner, Ryan, is super cool. He always remembers my wife and I when we come in. He's super kind and loves to talk with his customers. It shows that he actually cares about his business. Cannot recommend this restaurant enough.

The food is decent but the attitude not so great! This is my third time coming here and every time I get an attitude for no reason! And it's every one not just one person. That's why I gave it a chance. I think 3 times of getting an attitude is just terrible customer service all around. I can get this food anywhere without a side of attitude. I wouldn't recommend this place. I usually don't go to places where they are rude and have bad customer service!!!! For being a small take out place you should focus on being friendly and better customer service. The food is not free and we are paying customers who don't need this!!!

The first thing that comes to mind about this place is bland food and small portions. I ordered a tuna bowl for $17, and it was only half full. The tuna itself was incredibly bland and lacked any real flavor--even after adding teriyaki sauce, it still didn't help much. My husband enjoyed his chicken bowl, but I wasn't a fan--it was made with dark meat, which I personally don't like. I placed my order online, and while it was marked as ready when I arrived (well before the 20-25 minute estimate), by the time I actually got the food, both bowls were completely cold. Clearly, their time estimates are way off.

I'm visiting from out state and I crave this spot every time I'm here. The food and meat quality is phenomenal. The customer service is even better. I recommend the steak and shrimp and extra Yum Yum Sauce.

I found Yum Yum Hibachi on Yelp while searching for restaurants and decided to check it out. They're located in a small building, which resembles a container. They do offer outdoor seating with plenty of table and chairs. When I arrived, they weren't busy at all, so I could place my order right away. The cashier made a few suggestions, and I chose to order the shrimp and steak bowl. While my food was being prepared, I waited in one of the available chairs. It didn't take long to receive my food. I will say, the portion was generous; however I felt the quality didn't match the quantity. It is a great option if you're looking for something quick and fulfilling.

I really like Yum Yum Hibachi! The front staff was really patient and was quick with suggestions when I said that it was my first time trying their food and wasn't quite sure what to get. I decided on a chicken bowl with white rice, green onions, sesame seeds, eggplant and water chestnuts. I also ordered 2 spring rolls. The chicken bowl I think was delicious; I would've liked the spring rolls to have a little bit more flavor. The portion sizes are a little bit too small for me, but I tend to eat a large portion sizes (so this may be a me issue). They don't have indoor dining, but do have plenty of tables and chairs as well as benches outside with umbrellas. It's very low-key. They can get really busy from what I've seen with a lot of takeaways, online orders as well as dine-in customers. I didn't have very long to wait until my food came out, though. Their turnaround time is pretty quick. I would definitely come back to try the other dishes.

Been driving by this place on Ashburn Rd for a while now, trying to figure it out. Wow, now I know. Friendly staff, and fantastic food! Pick your meat (I went chicken), rice, toppings, and sauces, and they make the magic. Really delicious. Not sure what the Yum dessert was, but light and refreshing, excellent. I'll be back to this one soon.

I know I write a lot of 5* reviews. But I'm not an easy critic with low standards. Usually 1-3* restaurants I'll omit review and give them a chance to do better the 2nd time. First impressions can be skewed by circumstance. Anyways - the circumstances were always right when ordering here. The staff are always great, even when ordering late. Food is delicious, consistently. You're on par with chipotle pricing but getting much more quality here. Views aren't the selling point, but convenience, and it's conveniently located with a parking lot that's light-moderate. 5*!

Food is absolutely fresh and healthy. My order usually consist of the teriyaki chicken bowl and spring rolls. I truly enjoyed my visit. Again, this is one of the places that rank at the top primarily due to food, service, and in and out type ambiance. Love it! It's very convenient and makes for a great stop for a great healthy meal.

Yum Yum Hibachi is set up like a walk-up counter where you can pick-up your orders to go or dine al fresco at one of their available tables. For your hibachi bowl, you choose your protein (there are half & half combo options, too), base, toppings, and sauces, and you can add various sides, too, such as miso soup, steamed carrots, spring rolls, karaage, etc. The bowls automatically include broccoli, mushrooms, onions, red peppers, and zucchini. We came here for a later lunch, and we ordered: +a Steak bowl with cauliflower rice, topped with green onions, sesame seeds, teriyaki drizzle, and opting for the Yum Yum sauce +a Shrimp bowl with rice noodles, topped with green onions, sesame seeds, teriyaki drizzle, and opting for the Spicy Yum Yum sauce Both the steak and the shrimp were cooked well, juicy, and flavorful! We were surprised with how much protein they had in the bowl - there was so much chunks of steak and shrimp, we were very pleasantly surprised! The bowl could easily be broken into 2 meals easily. I think the next time, we would opt out of the teriyaki sauce, as it made the bowl a bit too sweet. The Yum Yum sauces were a good complement to the dish, but wished they provided just a bit more for those who like it saucy. I'd probably go for a white rice base on the next visit. Service was friendly, and there is parking in the area, adjacent to a townhouse community. +generous amount of protein +friendly staff +outdoor seating available +parking available in the area

This was so easy and delicious. Love that I can have customized bowls for each family member. Steak was big chunks and juicy. I like how if we don't finish easy to pack up and take home for later. Definitely will come again.

Come on, that's an instant five stars in my book. We ended up talking wine with him for a good part of the afternoon. He had us sample a few different pours before we landed on a Nebbiolo we loved. Later, after another conversation about wine, he brought over a taste of a white we'd never even heard of because he thought we'd enjoy trying it. It never felt like an upsell. It just felt like talking with someone who genuinely enjoys wine and likes sharing it with people. Relaxing patio, great food, excellent cocktails, and genuinely memorable service. We'll definitely be back, and Onyx probably will too.

However, the rest of the meal was a major disappointment. The Egg Fried Rice was bland and not worth ordering. The Crispy Duck: A Major Letdown I usually love Crispy Duck, but they completely messed it up. While the skin was crispy on the outside, the meat was totally raw on the inside. It had an unappealing smell, suggesting it wasn't cooked properly at all. It was served on top of white rice, which offered no flavor or value to the dish, aside from the sweet soy sauce. It did take a while to order since the waiter was busy with another customer (he was upfront about that). I got a seasonal drink. I don't remember the name but it was thai black tea, apple cider, and ginger beer. It was very good. My husband got a coke. For food, we ordered the vegetable rolls for an app. I ordered the chicken cashew (under "stir fry"), while my husband ordered the crispy duck basil (under "thaitan highlight"). FOOD: -vegetable rolls - these were delightfully crispy and the dipping sauce was balanced -chicken cashew - the cashews were buttery and the chicken was moist. it was a bit spicy. the rice was a little dry -crispy duck basil - the duck was delicious and addictive, but spicy. both entrees were a bit above our spice level but the flavor was really great. we had to wait a while for our check and the waiter only checked on us when we were almost done. this place is close to our house, but unfortunately, there are better places than this. that's not a knock on them, there's just a lot of competition in the area. we would return and ask for less spice.

The food was beautifully presented and the wine pairing was superb. Definitely recommend having them pair your wines. The grilled shrimp was a great start. The sparkling rose made the shrimp taste even better. The goat cheese ravioli was probably my favorite savory dish of the evening. The sweet sage-maple syrup-tomato sauce was fantastic. The Sancerre was pleasant with it, although I thought the ravioli itself was more impressive than the pairing. I had to order bread so the sauce wouldnt go to waste. I ordered the lamb medium rare, but it arrived closer to medium, and initially it was somewhat underseasoned. After adding salt and pepper and getting some of the thyme from the plate into the bite, the lamb became significantly better and worked better with the Châteauneuf-du-Pape. The creamed spinach underneath was delicious on its own, but I didn't enjoy it with the wine. Interestingly, the absolute highlight of that wine pairing was the braised garlic. The sweet, mellow garlic and Châteauneuf-du-Pape were wonderful together. Dessert was the highlight of the entire pairing. The lavender ice cream was outstanding, the Chantilly surrounding it was light and delicious, and the strawberry sauce wasn't overly sweet. The Sauternes was excellent with the dessert, particularly with the fresh strawberry. This was the pairing where the food and wine truly made each other better. Whether you're a chocolate lover or not, The Conche is a spot you need to experience at least once…read more There's really nothing else like it, the way they incorporate chocolate into both sweet and savory dishes feels creative without being overdone. For drinks, The Moussetache was smooth and velvety with rich chocolate notes, while Fetish felt like a true dessert in a glass, decadent and indulgent. The espressotini had a bold coffee kick, and the Passion Agave mocktail was light and refreshing. The entrees were just as impressive. The Conche Burger was juicy and flavorful with subtle cocoa depth, the Harissa Chicken Sizzle came out tender with a nice balance of heat and smoky sweetness, and the Ribeye was perfectly cooked, rich, and elevated by their signature touch. The ambiance is warm, modern, and intimate, perfect for a date night or a special dinner. Service was attentive and welcoming, and they even surprised us with a birthday dessert of assorted chocolates, which was such a thoughtful touch. It's one of those places where every detail feels intentional and it definitely leaves an impression.
