I used to order lunch and take it home when I did not have anything at home. The era of guilt tipping and of asking for a tip before service is rendered when the service is standing at a desk while I pick up a paper bag has led me to avoid ordering out at all costs, including at Burger District. There seems to be a misunderstanding. Tipping in restaurants -- which has been ubiquitous in American restaurants for decades -- has been done in recognition of extra service beyond providing the food. This has also evolved to significantly contributing to the wages of restaurant staff as the hourly wages are unsustainable. When I order takeout from a restaurant, I am contributing to your restaurant staying in business. I should not be expected to contribute to waitstaff wages as well. I am not patronizing restaurants where I am treated rudely for any reason, including Burger District, if I decide not to tip before service -- when I am picking up takeout. read more

This place is a bit of a mixed bag for me. Their burgers are good but not great. Their malts and shakes are very sweet, almost like McDonalds sweet. I know some people like that. This is a decent sports bar, with a good amount of open space and a large number of TVs on the walls. For a sports bar, I was surprised by the small beer selection though. The food was good. The medium-sized menu has a good variety of burgers, as well as sandwiches, hot dogs, and a few other things. The burgers are filling and flavorful; the curly fries were unique, but mostly like potato wedges in flavor; and the onion rings were good, but just on the side of being too fried for me. Honestly nothing special, definitely not worth $29 though... I got the double bacon cheeseburger, I ordered it to go and when I got to my location a few blocks down the burger was still hot. I ordered mine well done because I'm anal about restaurants and how they cook things. But the burger was juicy. My first impression wasn't anything crazy, just two massive patties. I actually had to take one off half way because it was to much for me. The fries were decent, just thin French fries, hard to mess up but those definitely weren't anything special. Today, I returned to the menu item I started with, the medium rare Bacon-Cheese Burger and Steak fries. STILL good and STILL excellent value... AND I must tell you that I've sampled their custom milk-shakes made with thick, from-the-tub REAL ICECREAM and laced with fine particles of ice to distribute the COLD evenly and thoroughly. The Poivre burger is one of the best burgers I've ever eaten. Perfectly prepared, it was tender, extremely juicy and flavorful. I really wanted to hate this place due to its trendy appeal and the awful music they were playing when I came in, but the friendly staff, bar, and hands down amazing burger won me over. We came here for a quick dinner on a Friday night and it did not disappoint. It wasn't crowded, the staff was friendly, and the service was quick. The food was absolutely delicious - we each got a burger and shared the curly fries. One of the best cheeseburgers I've had in a while. I was here for a YeIp event and I can't express how sweet the workers are here. We met Kiro and Jenny and they were accommodating the entire meal. We came in with 3 adults and two kids and as all parents know, the meal has to be quick before one kid or the other starts acting up. Our meals were prepared quickly and drink refills occurred instantly. I'd highly recommend the curly fries out of all the sides. I got the royal and I felt like it was your standard burger, a little bigger in size. I was upset that there was an additional cost for sides with your burger but it was worth it! Gave the Crab cake burger another try and it's much better this time. The size of the crab cake is close to double the size of those served by other restaurants. The crab meat tastes fresh but slightly on the salty side. I miss the mandarins in the cole slaw which balanced out the saltiness. Very filling. Also tried the sweet potato fries and curly/steak fries, which you need to order separately from your burger. I usually don't like lots of toppings on burgers, but I actually enjoyed the decadent chili/cheese and the bacon/fried onions with the patties. It was a nice treat, but it also wasn't greasy. So you'll feel full afterwards, but not disgusting. I have a strange pet peeve, but I wish the burgers/sandwiches automatically came with a side of fries (with the option to upgrade). Absolutely loved it! Decided to visit on a Tuesday night when there weren't that many people and my dining companion and I sat at the bar. They had a good selection of beer on tap and they gave us a generous pour which we really appreciated. Nothing too exciting was going on that night as far as games go on the TVs but we thoroughly enjoyed both of our burgers they were absolutely melt-in-your-mouth delicious! It is a little pricey, but the bacon cheeseburger was a perfect juicy medium; the hot wings, while small and breaded, were juicy and crispy; and the curly fries were unusually crunchy on the outside while being soft and potatoey on the inside. I don't particularly crave burgers but had a hankering for it today, got the Royal Smoke Burger, with Curly wedges and pork tips. I ordered it medium rare to go and even by the time I got home, I was pleasantly surprised how it was perfectly medium rare! (My travel time was only 5 mins). It was juicy flavorful and honestly gave me a second meal cause I could only finish half. The curly wedges was something I wasn't aware of. I'm usually not into wedges cause I like crunchy sides, but to my surprise, it was also perfectly crispy on the outside and deliciously soft on the inside, my new go to side for a burger. They are inconsistent. If you plan to order online, I don't think we've had an order 100% correct.
