Green Pig Bistro, situated on Wilson Blvd and N Fillmore St in Arlington, VA, is an American restaurant known for hearty, comfort-oriented dishes and nose-to-tail meat options. The food is consistently delicious and perfectly prepared, utilizing fresh ingredients skillfully combined to craft flavorful American-French cuisine. Signature dishes include pork chop, pork schnitzel, ribs, black Angus burger, bacon cheeseburger, and brunch staples such as eggs Benedict and fried chicken waffles. We also enjoyed our desserts, which were exceptional. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The service is excellent, and the welcoming atmosphere enhances the entire experience, making our brunch truly memorable.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Props to Green Pig Bistro for making perfect soft scrambled eggs and the most delicious house-made sausage patties ever. The French omelette, however, could've been softer - I can never seem to find a place that serves a proper French omelette. Good service and atmosphere overall.

Got to visit while in Arlington for work. Connected with a few local friends that I had not gotten to see in a while. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The staff were friendly and the space was well lite and cozy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]We sat by the wall of windows which was a bit chilly that day as it was very cold outside, but also provided a nice view out.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food was all very tasty. I had the shrimp and grits and a mimosa which hit the spot. If you are in the area, you should try out the Green Pig Bistro!

It's been on my list for long while! They moved from by the Trader Joe's to right below the bueno vida sister restaurant. The Food: I was able to grab at the bar just in time for happy hour. The happy hour is $6 basic cocktails. I did grab the buffalo pork belly which is their take on buffalo wings. They are so flavorful and delicious. You do get a lot for the happy hour price so definitely a steal. I got one of the cocktails off the main menu called the PPP which is bourbon with grapefruit drink. It was very tart and refreshing. It took awhile to get a server attention but I ordered the seafood tagliatelle for $38. It was mussel, shrimp and scallop scampi pasta dish. It was huge and delicious. I had to take some home with me. I wasn't impressed by the dishes especially for the high price tag. The food is good but not anything special. I'm glad I came and to cross it off the list but I won't be back. The Service: It was a Monday night. There were so many servers hanging out by the host stand with a manager. They were actively ignoring customers and in their own world. The main bartender left to get something and I couldn't get any service although there were so many servers actively not trying to engage with me. I understand at the bar, you would get less attention however the restaurant was basically empty with servers looking bored walking around. Anyways, the main restaurant is on the bottom floor and the bueno vida is the top two floors. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have glass windows from floor to ceiling which is nice to watch sunset by the bar. It was quiet and I couldn't really hear any neighboring conversations nearby.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I stopped by The Green Pig Bistro in Clarendon while visiting friends and family, and it was a really enjoyable brunch experience--perfect for catching up with people you haven't seen in a while. We started with the cinnamon roll appetizer, which was just the right amount of sweet without being over the top. For my main, I had the stuffed waffles, which had great flavor, and you could tell everything was made fresh. The only reason I'm giving it four instead of five stars is that the food came out a bit slower than expected, and [[HIGHLIGHT]]it did get a little noisy once the brunch rush hit.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Be sure to get there earlier on the weekends when they open to avoid being kicked out for existing mid-day reservations. Overall, The Green Pig Bistro is a fantastic spot for brunch in Clarendon.

Egg Sandwich - bacon or sausage, folded egg, cheddar-smoked gouda, with choice of hand cut fries or house salad

I was meeting up with a friend that I haven't seen in awhile and we both chose this place because we liked the menu. It's right in Clarendon and directly across from a parking garage which was a huge perk in my book. We had a great waiter, he seemed to be new but was getting into the groove of things. We had the deviled eggs, shrimp and grits, egg sandwich and sweet stuffed waffles. The deviled eggs were probably the most disappointing. I love eggs in most forms but found them to be a little one-note on flavor. The texture of the mix was smooth but I felt like it should have had a thicker consistency. Maybe it was a bit off that day. Unfortunately everything we had was a bit mid. I enjoyed my egg sandwich and the sweet stuffed waffles were delicious but in the end, we both agreed that nothing we had merited a return unless it was an invite from a friend or event.

Came here for a company early holiday party and did not leave super happy. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They do have a second floor that could be used for private parties and that was spacious and convenient.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Having said that, the service wasn't very good. They messed up the salad on our table and forgot to bring the greens. They just brought the prosciutto separately and kept it on the table. The food was not very tasty, and was also vey dry and bland - now maybe we can give them some benefit of the doubt because it was a large party, but I am not looking forward to going back.

    Maryland Style Crab Dip

My girlfriend was craving ribs, so we found the GPB had ribs and decided to go there. It was a bit later, around 8:35p.m., so they informed us that the kitchen was closing at 9 p.m., but, we were prepared and already had everything ready to order! She got a Angry Orchard and I got a Sam Adams Oktoberfest, had the Maryland Crab Dip for an app and then she got a half rack and me a full rack of ribs. We subbed Garlic Mashed Potatoes and Broccolini instead of coleslaw and hand-cut fries. And then two orders of Two-Layer Cheesecake. Unfortunately, the drinks took about 20 minutes after the waiter noticed we hadn't got them yet. The crab dip came about 10 minutes later. The crab dip was super tasty and decent thickness and the bread was very crisp as well! GF said it was a bit salty, but I didn't think so. The ribs showed up around 10 minutes after the dip. Sadly, we only received regular mashed potatoes and not garlic ones, which would have been better. But the ribs were AMAZING and mixing the broccolini with the crab dip are HIGHLY encouraged! they hit the spot! Cheesecake was pretty darn good as well! All in all, good meal! On top of that, it was 9/11 and active duty and retired military/first responders got their meal FOR FREE, which I didn't realize until after I ordered! So that was amazing and saved $42.00!

Unfortunately this restaurant has new owners as well as a new location. Our server/bar tender was as nice as they come but the food has taken a very huge plunge into the abyss. I was seriously looking forward to that fantastic French Onion Soup I had before but this time it came out with a broth that was not dark and rich but lite and unflavorable. The cheese on top was rock hard. I couldn't eat this. Drinks were good. Atmosphere was hustle and bustle. Would I come back? No!!!

    Buffalo Baby Back Ribs
    Dana J.

Our server was amazing. He was very attentive and very responsive. We had the cornbread, salads and the buffalo baby back ribs. The ribs were really good. The Greek salad was good however it had way too many peepers for my liking. Overwhelmed the salad. The cornbread was pretty tasty. Will definitely come back for brunch.

Hip bistro spot, great for brunch. Love their stuffed waffles. Burger was good as well. Service is pretty good too. Recommend a table outside if the weather is good.

    Christine H.

I had not realized that they moved locations and thought I was trying a new restaurant. And then I looked at my previous Yelp review at the old location - LOL. Well the food was still spectacular. My french onion soup was a bit bland compared to how good it was the first visit. And the shrimp and grits were actually too salty this time around. If I had realized it was the same restaurant, I would not have ordered the same exact items I ordered last time. The crab dip was a bit soupy when it came out, but once it cooled down, it thickened up a little. It was delicious though.

Those have included their Charcuterie Board (something that contributed to Dr. Oz not being a senator), crispy Brussels sprouts, their Margarita flatbread, chicken skewers, and truffle fries. Don't hate us; that was spread over two visits. Everything tasted great, though next time I think we'll graduate to the real menu. The wines we've tried so far were either inexpensive or not bad. For inexpensive, I've had glasses of their $3 Tempranillo. While it wasn't great, I've paid a lot re for much worse. For "not bad", my wife had the $10 Buehler Cab. After it opened up for a bit it was quite drinkable.

Lots of standing room, limited seating, but the patrons are young, beautiful, and mostly college students from nearby schools. Not my crowd, but met one of my friends here after work in Arlington around 6:30 since the weather was perfect yesterday. We decided to go to my favorite restaurant for a more elevated experience and live music. One day, I'll come back to watch people ride the bull downstairs, which I imagine that to be hilarious and entertaining. I went for the first time back in October and I had a good time. The drinks were competitively price for Arlington proportions but the food AND cocktail menu are just painfully limited. If you're ordering just standard bar drinks like a domestic draft beer or a shot of tequila you're fine, but a grilled cheese sandwich on the menu? Seriously? The biggest attraction of this bar is the mechanical bull. But the caveat is that you need to get a ticket to ride it which costs $5. Not terrible pricing but considering PBR at Power Plant Live in Baltimore has a mechanical bull (and more space but will get to that in a bit) it feels like a slap in the face. But again it's $5 and I'm going to presume that money goes towards maintenance of the mechanical bull ride anyway. Also depending on what day and time you go be prepared to be packed like sardines. There's three rooms one of which is a dedicated dance floor. And the room farthest from the entrance, about 85% of the room is taken up by the mechanical bull. The first time I went there was no room in the mechanical bull room because they blocked off 5% of it for some group party reservation. We went up to the rooftop which was a bit more spacious but naturally if it's cold outside or raining you're obviously not going up there. Overall, BOE has potential but a limited food menu, and even more limited cocktail menu, and small indoor space makes this an easy bar to skip when there's a line out the door.

It is not used for ordering, which was odd these days. Chill and super awesome bartender with the mother of all hickeys. Good pours. No Skrewball :-( I had the special, two hot dogs with tater tots. When it said double, I wasn't sure if that meant double the tater tots, but that meant actually two hot dogs. Really good. I also had the other special, the two pancakes. I meant to get the sausage, but they gave me the bacon instead. It was great. Well worth it. I thought that was the better value of the meals. They got a lot of board and card games. Very laid-back atmosphere, 90s and early 2000s pop on the music, comfortable seating, and good food. The prices were reasonable. This is one area that I think we are just going to have to deal with for quite some time. The give-and-take of prices,. Smothered tater tots, pancakes, two hotdogs with some tater tots, and three drinks came out to ~$55. NOT. BAD. Was it worth it? If this had been just a normal restaurant, I would've said no. It would've been more worth it if it had been about $40. But... nobody made us pay to use the board games, or the card games, and we sat there for three hours and had a really good time. So based on that, the fact they provide a venue for playing these games and hanging out for a few hours makes it all worth it. Really strange thing was that there was this balding guy with a beard that randomly showed up as a waiter. We had been dealing with a bartender, so this guy, kind of rude came on to us and we weren't sure what to do with him. He kind of blocked me from paying the bartender. Rude. Not a hangout spot every day, but certainly once a week, maybe once a month or more, definitely a place to meet up if you got a group. I was really surprised by the diversity of the people that were there. A lot of chess players, a whole table of middle-aged women, lots of different people playing games. I would give them five stars, but not quite perfect. The rude guy at the end was so odd. Otherwise, great location, great parking, the food was good, good value, and fun.
