The food is still very good, but in NO WAY shape or form is it appropriate to MISLEAD and CHARGE EXTRA for nearly every line item on the menu. I got a combo on one of the burgers, and they charged me for "shareable fried" because there was another person with me who only got a burger. I asked for a small side of sauce, and they charged me for their specialty queso dip. Nearly every item had the "little extra", and after ordering a good amount of food it adds up!

It was located nearby to my location and it reminded me of an ice cream parlor I used to frequent years ago. What I found was not the ice cream parlor that I once knew, but apparently a regional drive-in with the same name (spelled differently) Swensens (not the one I visited tonight) which is spelled Swensons. Today was a debut day for a new sandwich, which was a quarter pounder, pepperoni, mozzarella cheeseburger, complete with marinara sauce. I added a side of the mozzarella triangles (another debit today) with marinara sauce, and the Ohio, which is a specialized Gingerale soda flavored with cherry syrup. The service was outstanding, which included carhops who were running from vehicle to vehicle to ensure fast and prompt service (safely). There is no inside seating and customers can choose to eat in the vehicle complete with a tray provided or simply take the food home as a takeout option. Several desserts featuring ice cream and flavored sodas are available in addition to a strawberry shortcake and a fried cheesecake. The restaurant was well lit, with period decor for a drive-in and boosted service for over 80 years featuring their famous version of a burger. The food was served, hot and fresh with my flavored soda and I really enjoyed the experience. I may well be back soon!

You can customize your order and pick out the carb and protein options such as noodles, a salad, chicken, shrimp, etc. FOOD -- During my January 2026 visit, I ordered the Garlic Butter Shrimp noodles bowl which came with sugar snap peas. This was filled with a buttery flavour and delicious. I would definitely order this again. In my previous visit, I ordered the Seasonal Sriracha Tahini bowl ($11.72 was the price back then) -- it consisted of egg white noodles with roasted chicken and vegetables. This was a protein filled dish that tasted good but the flavour wasn't as strong as the garlic butter shrimp noodles dish. The chicken wasn't seasoned well at all but the sauce (I forgot the type) helped to make the bowl taste good. I wouldn't mind ordering this again but I probably would choose something else just so that I can try something else on the menu. The restaurant has lots of seating available for dining-in. Both times I've been, I placed to-go orders to eat at home. During my January 2026 visit, I had just come from a hair appointment so I was super hungry and I ended up eating the garlic butter shrimp bowl in my car. That's how delicious it tasted. FYI -- The price of the takeout bowls is slightly high compared to the size of the bowl itself.
