I don't think we've found okra anywhere else in the state! It was perfectly cooked with a cornmeal coating, piping hot and delicious. I had the Smokin' BBQ Platter. I had brisket for my meat option, with coleslaw and cornbread on the side. Perfectly cooked brisket, not dry at all. I'm an avid home baker and something of a cornbread snob, and this was excellent stuff--a perfect little loaf, sweet and perfect with butter melted within it. My husband had the Combination Platter with pulled pork and ribs. Now, he is a rib snob, having BBQed many over the years, and he declared these to be perfect (a rare thing to find in a restaurant). Not a shred of meat remained on the bone. Pulled pork was great, too, and he agreed that the cornbread was something special. He liked having pit potatoes, too, something that isn't common. Three kinds of BBQ sauce sat on our table in full, non-sticky squeezable containers. I tried the bourbon and loved it. My husband also tried the inferno; he can handle a lot of heat and said it wasn't really hot to his perception, but the flavor was good. In all, a fantastic experience here. I provided the correct name on the order, which the employee preparing the bag confirmed. However, the General Manager refused to release the order and implied that I may have read the name from the screen. Despite explaining that my son placed the order and I was simply picking it up, I was required to show personal text messages and even call my son on speaker so he could confirm the items in the order before they would give it to me. What should have been a quick and simple 30 second pickup turned into several minutes of unnecessary confrontation with the General Manager. I understand businesses taking precautions against theft, but the way this situation was handled made me feel embarrassed and accused of wrongdoing when I had done nothing but come in to pick up my child's food. Customer service and professionalism were completely lacking, especially from someone in a management position. Unfortunately, this experience has cost you my business moving forward.
