All the bad reviews didn't change my mind about trying this Burger King out. Good customer service, maybe try to be nice and respectful, and you'll receive it back. Really nice people with a good attitude. Yes, employees may get a bit overwhelmed, but as a customer, you can make an employee's night or day by just saying thank you. I stopped at Burger King as a last resort. The Lake Worth location is listed as open 24 hours, the banner outside says they're open 24 hours, and there were three cars in line when I arrived, so it appeared open. After the car in front of me finished ordering, I pulled up and was asked what I'd like. Since I don't frequent Burger King, I asked for a moment please. The employee said, "Ok, actually we're closing then," then refused to take my order. When I asked if he could still take it since I was already at the speaker, and could just order quickly so I had something, he said no, shut off the microphone, then ignored me. This BK is so shitty. We waited in line inside for 8 minutes before anyone took our order. They looked at us several times. Not one person said that they'd be with us in a minute. Seeing nobody in the drive-thru line should have been a red flag. Given the amount of time it took to get my sandwich I thought it would be nice and hot, but I was wrong. Really cold. My Whopper Jr. had half the condiments - lettuce and onion- on top of the sandwich. I was so disappointed I thought about going thru the drive-thru and asking them to make it again -- fresh. True I should have double checked my bag, though when I payed for 4 sandwiches, 2 drinks and 2 sets of fries (cheese add on a too) I expect ALL of my items to be there. The attitude of the cashier was one 9f the worst I've ever experienced! I told her twice that I wanted onion rings instead of fries, because I didn't think she heard me. Then it showed up on the drive thru screen. When I drove up to the window she had a very angry look on her face. I paid for my order and she handed me my card. Then handed me the food. No thank you, nothing. Closed the wi down and walked away. I opened the bag and there were fries, no onion rings. I tapped the horn, and got another nasty look. I told her a 3rd time that I ordered onion rings . She took the fries and was clearly angry. This is legitimately the worst Burger King location I have ever been to. The drive-thru was backed up and was not moving at all so eventually I gave up and got out of line and went inside when I got inside I could tell why it was not moving. The employees were too busy on their cell phone and chit-chatting to be bothered to fill orders. I waited for probably 10 minutes after I ordered at the front counter for somebody to actually come and put my meal together. And it was not because they were out of anything. The sandwich was waiting on the chute and there were French fries but nobody was putting it together. It was Christmas night about 9:30 & the drive thru line was huge, but it was the only place open. We waited in line for 1 hour until we finally got up to the intercom & no one was responding. We drove up to the window & saw fryers on, tickets hanging out of the machine, food everywhere, but no people. My husband was worried & called the non emergency line. A cop showed up right away. Turns out the system went down & there was 2 girl workers in there hiding! Instead of coming out & telling the 15 people in line, they hid! Burger King has been my one of my favorite spots since they came out with the impossible whopper. But as of late they have been messing up my orders back to back. I have had to go to the store again and again because they either gave me something entirely different. This time around I was told to wait in the first part of the drive through and they would let me know when I can pull up to the window. I get this is a maneuver to make their times better at the window but lord I waited almost 15 minutes now I have a regular whopper at that and I eat BK because of it's no beef patties...I worked in fast paced restaurants this wasn't even that busy that they have the error of giving me the sandwich I ordered. Then I pulled up behind the car in front of me. The problem was that I was at the first window. You know, the one fast food joints don't use because they aren't busy...because they're gross and never busy. So, while I waited I casually looked in the window. What I saw was filthy. Trash around, window was so dirty I couldn't see super clear, but clear enough to see the dirty bucket in a sink and the sink dribbling into the overflowing bucket. I have lived in downtown Lake Worth on and off my entire life and have been a regular(2-4 times a week) customer of this Burger King for a long time. However, atrocious service and sleavy business operation has cost this store at least four customers for good. After being overcharged, we had to argue with a bald manager three times before he agreed to refund our money, and acted like he was doing us a favor. All the while the cashier spewed pathetic excuses for her mistake, like how she thought we were ordering a gormet meal and didn't specifically ask for the deal. I was not aware that plain sandwiches constituted "gourmet" or that we had to specifically ask for something that the person we were with DID ask for. Throw in the removal of the value menu from inside to keep people from ordering off it (Manager's words, not mine, it was returned later but the sleazyness remains), constant overcharges and the fact that the food is never prepared properly and attempting to get it fixed either gets outright refused or replaced with an attitude and accusations of tampering and you get this Burger King. I will never step foot in this store again and I highly suggest to anyone reading this that you spend your money someplace else. read more
