Always have to wait long times for everything. Always have to go park at the entrance because it takes too long to order at the drive thru.

I went here with my brother to get some fries, pogos (aka corn dogs, I hadn't realized that "pogo"…read moreis an exclusively Canadian term until my American friend, Karen K, pointed it out to me, lol) and hot dogs for my little nieces. I have never had a pogo in my life and have no inclinations to change that. I also don't like hot dogs, so all I tried were the fries and they were great. The fries were a bit sweet (from the type of potatoes they use) and they tasted fresh and not from frozen. I liked the texture, they were not mealy. I like that they are unsalted. I think a large was like $6 or something like that. Pogos and hotdogs are $0.99 each. My older niece who is a picky eater and had never had a pogo before, took one bite and proclaimed "I LOVE POGOS!" Lol. She ate one and a half pogos, which is a lot for her. The breading looked crispy. The hotdogs were tiny and they were steamed. The nieces rejected them so my brother and dad ended up eating them. The place is really popular; we had to stand in line for a long time. Decor is old school diner-like. It reminds me of those casse-croutes that are ubiquitous in Montreal like La Belle Province, Lafleur Restaurants, and Green Stop. Most food here is greasy and fried. If you're trying to eat healthy this is not the place to go. It's not my kind of place, but for what it is, I think it's good. It's in a plaza, so lots of free parking.

I visit Orleans a few times a year because my brother lives here. We always go to La Belle Poutine…read moreat every visit because the food is absolutely delicious, and comes in plentiful quantities. The smoked meat sandwiches are flavourful and large, so you won't be unsatisfied. And I often upgrade to a poutine from the regular fries. The fries are hand-cut and have a great taste and texture. The gravy is thick and flavourful, and the cheese curds are squeaky, just like they should be. I have never managed to finish the combo before because it is just too much food. The dining room is also a lot larger than it appears from the outside. There is plenty of seating, the restaurant is clean, and the staff are helpful. Definitely recommend this restaurant, and can't wait for my next visit!

The Upper Deck had been on my bookmark list for some time. I mean who doesn't want to eat in a…read more"restaurant" that was a double decker bus? I finally made it there today, but ended up getting take out, so didn't actually get to eat in the bus after all. The food was ok but overpriced in my opinion. I had the cheeseburger combo ($10.75) which was a cheeseburger, small fries and a can of pop. The cheeseburger was pretty small. However, you can add toppings like fried mushrooms and fried onions for free. I got both those and also lettuce and tomatoes (also free). The burger tasted good, it was just really small. The fries are also a small portion and I felt they were just ok. They smelled really good, but didn't really taste like anything special to me. However, they may have gotten soft during my drive since they were in a covered container. Maybe they were crispier when fresh. I will give this place another chance by eating there next time, so I can taste how the food is when it's freshly made. I like that the bun is plain and doesn't have seeds on it. I got the regular bun, but they also have gluten-free buns. The staff working there were nice. And I had to say the whole double decker bus thing I find really cool.

This place is great. This is a food truck, and you always know exactly where it'll be!…read more The menu is a pretty good assortment of the usual fast food fare - burgers, hot dogs, fries, poutines, onion rings, fried finger-foods, and ice cream. But everything is made fresh to order and they have a nice assortment of add-ons you can have on your burger, many of which have no additional cost (you only pay extra for cheese and bacon). The food quality is really good as well. The gravy is really delicious and has a nice consistency. And the serving sizes for the fries and onion rings are very generous. They also have some really interesting poutine toppings, including pepperoni, steak, pogo, hot dogs, and donair meat. There is plenty of outdoor seating on the large patio/deck area, or you can sit inside on the upper level of the bus. As a bonus, it shares a parking lot with the Innes Road Golfland, so if you feel like having a game of mini golf after lunch, or taking advantage of their driving range, it couldn't be more convenient.

Wow. No words. AMAZING…read more There's no sign for Sasha, just a white sack that says poutine, hot dogs, sausages. There's seating in the back. Amazing. No words it was immaculate. Poutine had lots of gravy and cheese curds, every bite had the perfect ratio. Even with so much sauce and cheese, fries are crispy even after 30 minutes of eating. The gravy is so well flavored, I liked the bowl clean of the gravy with my sausage. The polish sausage was amazing- Smokey juicy and grilled so yummy. The bread was soft and melted so well with the sausage. I put some gravy on top of the sausage and wow. A MUST! CASH ONLY BTW! The lady so sweet and explained the different flavorings of the sausages :) SO WORTH IT! The best places are the local mom and pop shops! :)

We walked over to this little stand, which I actually had no idea existed, to get something quick to-go. There was no line late on a Friday night. We got a few different sausages and poutines and brought them back over to eat on the Laff's patio. It had been a long while since I had a grilled Polish sausage, so that's what I got with a little ketchup, mustard, and some chopped raw white onions. The sausage was perfect, tasty, hot, and not overcooked, just what I was craving and very satisfying. There was only one person behind the counter, a young guy who was very sweet, super fast, and we were really impressed he remembered everything we ordered. They have a small menu of your standard chip wagon fare - fries and poutine, hot dogs and sausages, pogos, and drinks, plus ice cream. Great spot that's open late (until 3am I think) for before/during/after a night out at the bars.

Oh man! I know it's…read more"just a casse croute" joint...but then again, it is totally NOT JUST a casse croute joint. Happened upon it thanks to recommendations from our awesome CM Risa (who told Mariko, who told me, who told... U get the picture) because it happens to be right in primo hiking and camping territory right off the highway (117-N). (Like literally RIGHT off the highway: SLAM ON YOUR BREAKS! OH NO, YOU MISSED IT! OH MAN, HAFTA GO BACK AROUND! ...and it is SO worth it, so do go back around if you miss it lol.) This seems to be a little family run spot. Son is definitely the best at providing friendly, sweet service, Dad's not terrible but not super bubbly or anything and Mom ...well she's a weird one, but it seems like once she recognizes you service becomes sweet and very attentive all of the sudden, so bonus points when you come often! And luckily the food is just so damn good that finding excuses to come back is really not an issue. Been here a few times now, hands down it's their Special Burger with the absolute win, don't even argue w me! Burger: let them all dress it for you "the special", a delcious seasoned homemade pattie (albeit small, but so tasty) topped with cheese and hot peppers and tomatoes n lettuce n onion, their special house creamy sauce, and ALFALFA SPROUTS?! WHAAAAAT?! Fking LOVE that about this place. Ive tried their other menu items and (still have a few to try), but so far I can't not order at least 1 burger here when I come. Fries: o-m-f-g-excellent by themselves, unfortunately I wasn't too impressed with the result in the poutine, but maybe we ate our poutine too fast and needed to give it time to let the flavours marry a bit better. I just keep ordering the fries by themselves though, small in portion, but HUGE in taste! Homemade Pogos?! : that's right folks, they take hotdogs and dip them in their own homemade batter and deep fry scratch pogos for ya on the spot! They are really good, but really tiny and expensive and essentially just taste like an ordinary hotdog in a really damn tasty dough. Chicken burger: hmmm the chicken was really good, but had an odd texture, same toppings as the Burger so that's amazing too, but the bun is slightly too big and the chicken slightly too weird for this to be something I'd order regularly. They also boast many vegetarian options here too like the pogos and veggie dogs and I am told it's amazing, but I'm not buyin into that, gimme the meats! Price is quite expensive for a little road side truck stop, but the quality and love put into this food makes it worth every penny spent so I can't even remove a star for that. There's one tiny bathroom which is not ideal, but does the trick. There's outdoor seating and 'indoor seating' (screened in dining area). And also a kyoot space for kids to play (swing set). This place is quiet at the beginning of the season, but gets busier as summer goes along. We were always in and out within 10-15 minutes, though. Even if it took longer I would still give this place 5 stars the food is that amazing. Perfect little pit stop. A must-stop for sure and I even recommend going out of your way for this. Dammit. Now I want another burger and fries.
