Stumbled upon this establishment…read more To preface, I've had poutine from Montreal's Banquise to GTA's Smoke Poutiniere/Poutini to Windsor's Frenchy's. Finally. Some option for poutines in Windsor. I ordered the Firecracker Fries. Going back for poutine tomorrow to complete my review. Back to the Firecracker Fries: Presentation 10/10 Quality 10/10 Quantity 10/10 Price 8/10 - but fair given the quantity Initial impressions? Beautifully presented. The toppings were so fresh that I could feel every crunch from the jalapeños to the peppers. The scallions were an AMAZING touch!! In addition to the freshness, the quantity was very generous. The blend of sweet (BBQ sauce) and spicy (I assume it's the firecracker sauce) was sensational. Unlike the classic poutine, the cheddar cheese in the Firecracker Fries were not completely melted. I'm going to add my review for the poutine - post consumption. Can't wait. Please be tasty! Edit: Round 2 I couldn't actually give a poutine review without eating the poutine. Presentation 9/10 Quality 10/10 - so much gooey goodness Quantity 9/10 - lighter than the Firecracker Fries Price 8/10 - but fair given the quantity Initial impressions? Gooey goodness. Fries met expectations. Gravy was flavourful and NOT watered down or clumpy. Scallions was a different touch? Never really had scallions on a poutine. Would I recommend or return? Yes. Suggestions? Poutine if you're looking for a classic treat. Firecracker Fries if you're feeling adventurous.

The spicy in his opinion "was like a 4, pretty mild" the chicken is crispy and the owner is always behind the counter to help and answer any questions. The staff are always friendly and although this isn't Fast food, it is worth the wait. Price is reasonable, inside is clean enough for what it is.

I especially liked how they had vegetarian/vegan/gluten free options! I ordered the chick p burg with their vegan wham sauce and it was good! For a gluten free bun, the bun was soft and tasty. Usually GF buns that I've had are on the not so soft side, but I liked how it actually had flavor to it as well and it didn't feel like my mouth was getting dry just trying to chew it lol. The Chickpea patty was tasty too! Their fries with the garlic aioli was also a hit as well! The service while ordering was very patient as we had a lot of questions for it being our first time and she explained everything so politely. They even bring out your food right to your table when it's finished and they're attentive as well! It was clean and organized and not too crowded on the inside and it wasn't loud at all. We went with family and it was a nice environment to bring them in for a fast food type of restaurant. We would come back here again!

Food delivered to our group all except one meal, waited another 10 minutes plus for the last meal... and cutlery because although the diner was not fully seated, the cutlery was "in the dishwasher" while our food got cold and the kids ate with their hands. No refills on coffee were offered, no check in on the quality of our meals. Home fries despite being requested for them to be grilled with onions were deep fried with onion tossed on top. Attempted to charge me for a side of sausage when the kids meal comes with sausage. Was informed we had to leave (an hour and a half after being there) and waitress did not ask if we needed boxes, again I have to stress she did not check on us during consumption of our meal I had to go and ask for a box. Extreme anxiety filled experience. Definitely not an "old school diner" feel even though the decor and name says otherwise. Do better for others as we will not be back!

We were seated promptly and our server was very attentive and friendly. The reason we chose Kelsey's was because were a group of 8 and this place had a dish that we can all pick without going somewhere else. This location is in a large plaza with ample parking and the decor is nice, clean and modern. They also have lots of seating and a bar section too. The menu contains lots of dishes with high calorie content but that's not really surprising at Kelsey's. I decided to go with the Thai Shrimp Curry Bowl. As expected, the dish was just okay. The noodles were over cooked and the curry was a bit bland. Shrimps were good though. Concept is good but the execution is very poor. That's the same issue I have with places like Jack Astor and Milestones. Instead of the main dishes, I would come for drinks and appetizers instead. The bar area is really nice and seems like a good place for a date or just grab drinks. I added the half of star for our server who was funny and made our night by telling us about his encounter from the US border patrol trying to go to Detroit. You know what you get coming to Kelsey's so no recommendation needed. #23 of 2018

I haven't been to Kelsey's since they did a revamp of their entire restaurant and menu. This location also used to be a Casey's when this building was first built. For a chain restaurant, I still get surprised to see how busy it gets. Our waitress ended up coming around to let us know she was just finishing up with a table and would be right with us for our drink orders. Which was fine, and letting us know was great, and not leaving us in the dark waiting for someone to come around. For our main courses, I ordered a chicken caesar wrap, as did my friend, and the waitress suggested that we can put the honey garlic sauce on the chicken, and I thought that would taste delicious so I did, and then I ordered sweet potato fries as a side. The food didn't take long to come out at all, the usual 10 to 15 minute wait after ordering. Our waitress was also on top of topping off our waters and asking if we needed anything. Our food came out and it was good. It was a really good choice to have honey garlic sauce on my chicken caesar wrap. The chicken wasn't dry at all, there was a great amount of caesar salad dressing in the wrap, and the tortilla wrap wasn't dry at all; it was basically the most delicious thing I could have ordered from there. The fries were great. Then we ordered dessert. For dessert I split the brownie pops with my sister with the peanut butter sauce. SO GOOD. Then again, anything deep fried is. The peanut butter sauce was sweet and added a nice sweet kick to the pops. I tried some of my friends ice cream cookie sandwich. The cookie was super rich and tasted like cookie dough. SO GOOD. The overall experience was good. The restaurant was busy, so it was pretty loud when we were there, which was around 6:30 to 8:30, and then it started to die down a bit. The washrooms were fairly clean, the floors were a bit sticky. This restaurant also had live music playing the bar area, which was great to make it feel like a local bar and grill kind of vibes.

They offer so much more than they used to and have new menu items all the time, it's incredible to see a brand evolve so much. I went this morning to this location for breakfast, because I stayed in Harrow last night and they don't obviously have a McDonald's and I had to get to work. I was craving a Bacon & Egg McGriddle. I walked in, and it was busy, I was expecting it to take longer than it did, but I ordered it in a combo, with a drink (I chose coffee, black) and a hash brown. Placed my order got my receipt with my ticket number on it, and within 5 minutes of waiting, my order was called and I picked it up and headed out. What can I say about McDonald's food? It should be the same everywhere you go, it's standard. It was good, I love the McGriddles (they're a treat for me, I never go to McDonald's) I didn't eat the hash brown, I'm not a big potato fan, and the coffee was actually really good. Most other coffees you get taste horrible, but being a premium coffee brand it was actually enjoyable. Good coffee, tasty McGriddle, quick to go experience, not even waiting that long, this McDonald's has their rush down pat. I'll come back for a quick bite to eat if I'm heading out anywhere and want to stop.
