Half a pizza burger and half a barrel house burger. This is the way!

Wow. Fantastic burger and beer. We had a pizza burger and a barrel house burger. They were fantastic. Truly some of the best burgers ever... and I'm a fat guy who likes burgers, so that means something. :)

We were looking for some good pub food and the barrel house did not disappoint! Cold beer and good burgers ans the life changing poutine tator tots! We came here on a Sunday mid Covid, the checked out vac cards before we could sit to eat. The portions are huge! The barrel house burger is good the smoked bacon really makes the burger, my preference would of probably to add some jalapeños to put it over the top. The tator tot poutine is life changing and a must try! Seriously though my life will not be the same after experienceing the tator tot poutine! The crazy and cheese are on point! TLDR: a must try for pub food, great bartenders and even better food!

We stopped here on the way to the Windsor Airport. The outdoor seating was comfortable, the food was amazing, and our server was friendly. My only regret is that we rushed our meal, since we had plenty of time to sit in the airport. We will definitely come back the next time we're in Windsor.

    Delicious chicken sandwich

Great food, beer, ambiance, people. This place has it all. We needed lunch on a day trip to Windsor and Yelp guided us here. Great choice. Absolutely delicious food, a nice selection of beers, and a great patio for the surprisingly warm fall weather. Everyone loved their food and beer. Great and friendly service. Highly recommend!

Stopped in today for lunch and what a great experience. I didn't know what to order to drink and was told "I will make you something summer and refreshing, trust me". Glad I did. I had 2 summer and refreshing. drinks. The burgers were delicious! If I visit Canada again, I will definitely be back.

Food 5 star! An actual Chef behind the bar! The Lobster-crab outstanding! Drinks reasonable and the Sashimi Ahi tuna ... well I'm speechless!

    Not much wrong here.

Was driving in the area with co-workers, had to stop in for lunch after we noticed the cool building. Great service and hipster style environment. We ordered the beef dip meal, an order of mussels, and 2 chicken salads for the less adventurous of our group. Windsor is really improving. The Sandwich Street strip is visit worthy if driving through Windsor. Marls, Cartoni Curtis and Dee-Flynn approved.

This crispy chicken sandwich looked great and tasted even better! Mmmmm!!

Honestly, we made a wrong turn leaving the tunnel and ended up driving along the river. We were hungry and this place was there, so we figured we'd give it a try. I'm glad we did! I don't like to give five stars (can anything ever actually be perfect?), but the Barrel House deserves it. When you walk into the place it really looks like any other dive bar. Situated in Windsor, Ontario's Old Sandwich Town neighborhood, it's very quaint and unassuming. However, the food is anything but what you'd get at a typical dive. The crispy chicken sandwich was fantastic, and there were plenty of options on the menu that would make me come back. They drizzle a stout reduction on the onion rings that is beyond description. Anyway, we sat at the bar and the service was great. The bartender and the cook were both very friendly, and happy to talk about the beers on tap or the food. We asked a bunch of questions like obnoxious tourists, but they didn't seem to mind. I know it's Canada, but everyone was very friendly even by what I have come to expect in Windsor. Being in Detroit, it can be difficult to lure me across the bridge or tunnel and through customs, but I'll happily cross over to go back to this place. It's a real hidden gem!

This place is great. Lots of craft beer on tap. I had the Barrel House Burger and it was really good. The gravy is excellent here too. The menu us short and simple, with lots of crowd favorites. You gotta come by and try it out.

We had an excellent Sunday lunch. The weather was sunny and pleasant so we were on the outside patio with a light breeze. Our server, Jaden, simply could not have been better: gracious, unobstrusive, full of recommendations when asked, and willing to take back beer we didn't like. My suggestion: don't be in a hurry, enjoy all the variety of beer that the Barrel house has to offer, and enjoy a delightful time eating and drinking.

Expectations were running high as the 4 RAVED about the wings at this place. decor is kinda biker club meets pool hall...don't go expecting to get designer tips for your home....but what it lacks for in decor it more than makes up for in food quality. staff are uber friendly and stopped by on numerous occassions to chat. Wings were fantastic ! By far the best I've had in Windsor. Fries (fresh cut) were amazing as well. i had dry rubbed with a mix of cayenne and garlic, my partner had spicy bbq...both were incredible. i usually prefer dry rub but their sauce flavours were amazing. We were discussing Chinese food and a dreadful experience we had in Kingsville...the owner overheard us and recommended a place down the street...even brought over one of their menus he had. all in all a great wing place

They didn't, but they had another similar Belgian ale that was great, so no complaints there! Our table started with the hand-battered chicken tenders and fried pickles. I really liked the light batter on both, and you could actually taste the beer in the batter, which was awesome. Three of the four of us ordered the Reuben, and the other ordered the Big Ed Burger. First off, all four of us commented on how good the sides were. The fries came out piping hot and crispy, and the house-made chips were honestly some of the best I've ever had. The burger itself had good flavor, but the bun was pretty dry and unappealing. With a better bun, I think it could go from good to great. As for the Reuben--the house specialty--I enjoyed it overall, but there were a couple things holding it back for me. The corned beef itself was 10/10. Super tender, flavorful, and absolutely the star of the sandwich. The bread, however, was very dry and crisp, but it had almost no color or toasted flavor to it. My other issue was the sauerkraut. This is definitely personal preference, but I like kraut with more tang and a little chew--almost "al dente," if we were talking pasta. This was extremely soft and mushy, to the point that there really wasn't any texture left to it. With that corned beef, a tangier kraut with a little bite and better bread would make this a fantastic Reuben. That said, I don't want those critiques to overshadow the experience. We enjoyed our food, and the service was great. Nichole (according to our receipt) was super friendly and took great care of us. I also really love the history and character of Jacoby's. In fact, I just recommended it to a family member today. I'd absolutely come back, and I already have my eye on trying the schnitzel next time!
