I've been a big fan of Burghers. I've stated this is my favorite burger joint in this area, so with that as a backdrop, I stopped in today for lunch. Burger selection: my favorite, the Morningside with extra cheese sauce. While the burger was still awesome, I need to point out, I noticed today their burgers are quite a bit thinner than they used to be. I'm talking "McDonalds thin". I was really surprised at this since the burgers in the past have always been very beefy. Now, if the price of two burgers and a beer didn't amount to over $30 I wouldn't mind it so much, but if I wanted a McDonalds sized beef paddy, I'd go to McDonalds and pay 1/3 the price. Tried this place for the first time tonight, overall a decent place. The beer is very good and appeals to even the novice of micro brew drinkers with a good variety ranging from light to dark. The burgers were flavorful, however the bun is very suspect. If you are going to charge 13 dollars for a burger, why put it on a dollar store quality bun? Honestly the bun is very cheap and cannot hold the burger and flavorful toppings... it's basically a giant eagle brand bun but trying to hold together premium toppings. They preach local brands. There are a lot of local bakeries that can make a much better bun. Improve the bun and this place would be 5 star rating. read more

On our visit we ordered a Shadyside & Pittsburg'her - both were very good. The Pittsburgher was just plain amazing. I appreciate that the portion sizes are really what should be "normal" rather than the supersized portions you often get from restaurants now-a-days. Filled me up without that 'hating myself' feeling I often get after going out to eat. Wish I'd noticed they had a ground alpaca burger as the special, I may have been daring and tried it! Service was quick and personable. Nothing above and beyond but better than average for sure. We also got the buttermilk chicken tenders for my daughter, and the portion was enormous! We got more than our money's worth for that. I love that they use grass-fed beef, there's nothing but good things out there about how much better it is for you than grain-fed. Local and organic ingredients are wonderful too. I appreciate that I don't go home and wonder what I just put into my body- or my kids' bodies. A nice little gem in a small town. Cost is beyond reasonable for the quality of ingredients they use. If you think $10 for a burger is pricey and don't care whether your sandwich contains mystery meat or real pasture-raised beef then you should be heading to Burger King to check out the dollar menu 1/10th of a mile up the road. read more

This place is awesome. Not only was the service friendly and fast but the burgers were the best I ever had. They have a full bar and indoor and outdoor seating. They are a little pricey about 10 bucks a burger but it's well well worth it. I have gone there many times and I will continue to go there. Don't forget to try there milkshakes. read more

Fantastic burger joint located just outside of downtown Zelienople. They in a strip center who's name I didn't see across from the Northgate Plaza (where BiLo and Dollar Tree are). It had a semi industrial, slightly rustic feel to it inside. We were sat right away and our drink order was taken immediately. I asked if we could move to a corner table (away from the ceiling fan) without causing an issue for the server and the hostess (and our server) were more than happy to accommodate us. Our food order was taken immediately. Our server was so sweet to my two little ones, she was very personable. As it turns out she's the bartender, not sure why she had table duty but thumbs up for being a team player. Our food came out super fast and was hot and fresh. The Morningside burger was delish as were the fries. The two kids meals were more than enough for the two birds that my two were eating like. I tasted his chicken (pickle brined - yum) and her mac and cheese side (super creamy), both were great! Our server continually checked in with us throughout our lunch/dinner. I would say their closest comparison would be BurgerFi but that's only in relation to better quality of meat used but even so Burgh'ers blows doors off my old fav, BurgerFi. Five Guys or Smashburger aren't even close. Burgh'ers is much more artistic with their food and have a better selection of other stuff plus for those who want it, they have a full bar and craft beer. Hands down the best hamburger place around the harmony Zelienople area. When I visited this location I got the chicken sandwich. The chicken sandwich was out of this world! They out of their own to it with their own special sauce. It is kind of like the Big Mac sauce but not as Tangy. They have homemade Rosemary hand-cut fries which are also very delicious. I went to Burgh'ers when they first opened and was pleasantly surprised. I returned a few weeks ago and was disappointed at what I found. The restaurant in the photos is the one I thought I was going to. They must have remodeled since then because the one that's there now had a completely different atmosphere. I thought I'd try the chicken pita and was disappointed in the size to price ratio. They promote local and organic foods but most of their specials were seafood?! Granted, it was during Lent, but I still felt that was odd. While I had been recommending it to friends, that has stopped. I now know why most of the people I've given the recommendation to have told me how disappointed they were with it. read more

My kids and I went here on Wednesday evening, we got seated right away. Since it was a beautiful November evening, people were sitting outside. I had the grilled cheese and fries, both my kids built their own burgers. All I have to say is amazing...best grilled cheese I've ever had. The pickles make the sandwich, I keep thinking about it. The fries were also good, especially dipped in their homemade ranch. My kids loved their food, we ate everything on our plate. I have one word for you: legitimate. This place is off the scale amazing. I pride myself on traveling to cities just for food but to my pleasant surprise I do not have to travel to Charleston, S.C., N.Y., D.C., or Portland, Maine for that matter I just go to Zelinople, P.A..... Who would have thought? I recommend the burgers (of course) ANY burger they serve in fact. To get the true experience just order one of the locally named burgers and you'll see. These are the tastiest flattop burgers I've ever had! But everything I've had here is just so perfect, from the Rosemary fries, the fresh salads, and the fried goat cheese appetizer, it's easy to see how I often over order and end up eating this leftover goodness for days. This place is local through and through. The beers and cocktails are the best in the area and the bartenders will always give helpful and honest advice if you don't know what to order. The beer is always good. They have a nice variety for those of us who don't need over hopped IPAs to be happy. The beer is the reason for the three stars. Now for the bad news. The food just isn't what it was at the old location. Maybe with Della Terra also opening at a new location, management is too busy to see to the quality control this place needs. The chicken appetizer that was once one of our favorites, was a total disappointment. After we chipped off an entire plateful of overdone batter, the chicken was dry and nothing like the pickle brined delight it once was. My next favorite, the "Everything Dog' appetizer was also disappointing. What was once a pair of grilled plump flavorful dogs were reduced to what I think were now deep fried, but definitely dried up baconlike tubers. My wife's burger was good, but not great like they once were. The rosemary fries with the burger were the bottom of the bag with not a single fry longer than an inch. Shameful. Seemed like everything had been prepared ahead and deep fried again to order. PLEASE implement some quality control and bring this back to the great place it was up the road. read more

Hands down this is the best burger place in the Pittsburgh area. All food is farm to table, and they have a great selection of local craft beers. The burgers are all named for neighborhoods of Pittsburgh and are absolutely fantastic. My particular favorite is the "Shadyside." However, for as great as the burgers are, the fries may give them a run for their money. Be sure to get there early and try to avoid the dinner rush in that the place is small. After eating here it will be hard to go anywhere else when you crave a burger. read more

Sorry but bad experience - first time there and no way the value is worth it. Burgers are small and absolutely not worth the price. There were 13 of us and everyone walked out feeling the same way. Way over priced!! I had a beer that was 6.5% alcohol for $6 and and in a small goblet glass. If it was 8%+ I would understand. This place can't decide if it is a hipster haven or an upscale burger joint, so you get a minimalist atmosphere, weird beer choices, and a "fresh game" option that is cut with about 50% beef anyway, because fake "foodies" wouldn't know what actual game tastes like if they were fed their own foot. I've had bags of blow with more kangaroo in it than these burgers. You also get cute young servers, which I'm into, but who don't know how to flirt for money. Sad. The service alone isn't good enough to earn your "college money" sweetheart. Try the rosemary fries, and one of the options named after some ancient Polish region of the city this place tries to associate itself with even though it's 40 miles away ( I mean Pittsburgh genius) and you'll do okay. Don't try the game menu, not worth it. Don't try the weird beer, stick with something dark and dry or you'll get the itis after your meal and not be able to do business afterward. Overall the food is pretty solid but the experience is awkward. The people who patronize this place are mix of low-tier managers who live of the effort of others, soccer moms cheating on hubby at noon with the lawn boy and hoping to energize him with meat before a 2 PM bone session, and recovering mustachioed dweebs in tight jeans that think splurging $40 on a meal will get into miss verizon store sales rep's pants. Nice try bucko. Also, a few normal people. Overall my type of people, but I hate them. God, I hate them. The food is great though if you don't try to be a priss about it. Add to that a bar that features innovative cocktails, a wonderfully creative bartender, and an superb collection of beers, and this is easily one of the best restaurants in Western PA. Somehow this gem is buried in Harmony, PA. Don't let the location deter you; it's worth a drive. A word of advice: If you're more familiar with the Burgartory variety restaurants, you may not appreciate Burgh'ers. The burgers are delicious and flavorful, and while it's plenty to fill up the average diner, these aren't the massive patties featured elsewhere. My girlfriend and I went there to try something new and delicious. We were pleasantly surprised by the service and quality of food. I had the "Mexican War," a Southwestern style Burger that had a robust flavor and texture with Rosemary Fries (the combination works. She had the "Polish Hill," which was topped with two pierogies and was truly delightful. We washed down our meals with two craft brews and was also pleased to see the local theme extended to the bar and the assortment of local brewing companies. My only criticism would be in the size of the "Burgh'er" patty, which could afford a bit more thickness although the toppings do seem to make up for it. The cost wasn't too bad and I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a different twist on the Ham-"Burgh'er" and anyone that supports local farmers as everything is organic and farm-raised. read more
