I am a very patient, forgiving person and really with my first experience with Rock Ann Haven I could legitimately give it 2 stars. If I were very critical I'd give it 1 star. Why? Well, first they serve fish on Friday nights but they ran out of fish by 6:30PM and the server didn't tell us until we had already ordered 3 orders of fish. OK, I'm sure there is a good reason she didn't know beforehand. So I ordered instead the meatloaf sandwich which was OK. I wasn't impressed with the boring white bread toast, but I ate and enjoyed the whole thing. My wife changed her order to a chicken wrap which was supposed to be hot but was room temperature. Again, edible, but that's about all. The other gentleman in our party ordered the meatloaf platter and left half of it uneaten because it wasn't what he expected. His wife ordered the pepperoni logs which were dry and cold. We all tried a bite and agreed that they were pretty bad. Her pretzels were very chewy and had the texture of being recently defrosted but not thoroughly baked. After she brought that to our server's attention, they didn't charge for the pepperoni rolls so I have to apprecaite that. I would overlook all this but the service was unexcusably slow. After our server brought our waters she forgot about us. Fortunately it was a Friday night and nobody was in a hurry. The dining room wasn't busy. Maybe there were 4 or 5 other tables. On the way in a family told us that one of the servers was begin trained, and that service was slow. So we were warned. I'm assuming it was our server who was being trained because she failed to check up on us after serving our dinners and in fact the other server--who clearly has more experience--asked if everything was OK. It wasn't, but at that point there was nothing she could do. I'm willing to give this place a second chance, but next time I'll call ahead and make sure they have plenty of fish. And I'll trust that by then the server has had some experience and that she's a bit more attentive. The prices are reasonable and the ambiance is nice. So ... 3 stars. read more

Enjoyed a dinner with a great friend, but was slightly disappointed when I was charged 50¢ more per item that I ordered, and when I questioned the waitress,I was informed that it's because I ordered ranch dressing! My friends bill was different as well...and it's because she ordered tomatoes on her sandwich. I used salt and red hot, but I wasn't charged...lol...I'm leaving before they figure that out. Save your time and don't order any dressings or toppings for your burger. Service was fine, but overall disappointed. And we used to be regulars...not anymore. read more

My buddies and I try a different place for a night out for wings and beer. Wanted to try the wings here. Pulled in and walked into bar first,which they smoke in. Was a little turned off by the smell of cigarettes but they have the dinning room off to the back with doors separating the two rooms. We ordered the app plater and was your typical fried bar food but was tasty. Got a dozen o the seasoned wings and they was done just right. This is one of my favorite destinations when out on my motorcycle. This bar has some of the greatest bar food in the area. It's clean and welcoming. They have a good live entertainment schedule and everything here is customer centered. It can look a little daunting from the outside with the lack of windows. But rest a sure this establishment is a safe clean and friendly place to spend an afternoon or an evening with friends and family. read more

I've been going to Rock Ann for as long as I can remember. It really is one of Butler's best kept secrets! In the evenings it's happening and crazy fun, then during the day the food is amazing! Salads that are delicious and the size of your head, amazing wings cooked just perfectly, and the fried vegetables are one of my go-tos! Plus, the bartenders are fantastic. It's not uncommon for me to say, "make something delicious, surprise me!" And it's always spot on and tastes great. :) read more

We used to come here all the time. They Always had great food, attentive waitresses, and cheap prices. Well I guess I can understand the prices going up. But the problem is everything else. Maybe this is because I haven't seen the owner there the last two times Iv'e been there. The portion size has shrunk and the quality has gone down hill. They used to have great fresh wings. Now you can tell they were frozen. They are missing that great crunch the used to have. They are also not Jumbo whole wings anymore. They are small wing pieces. So when you order 6 jumbo wings you get 12 disappointing little wing pieces. The service is very slow. I was just about to go to the bar to get a drink refill before our waitress finally decided to check on us. If this place doesn't turn things around it probably will not be in business long. read more

Well. Its a bar. With a restaraunt built onto it. Food is incredibly cheap. Nothing to write home about, but service is great, and its got that hometown feel to it. Like I said, the food is just your average bar fare, but its a cheap and quick place to grab a bite to eat, or a place to grab a hoagie and a cold one and catch the game. read more

We all needed a cocktail after work so a coworker suggested we should stop for a drink and some food. The space is really pretty small the drinks were strong and cheap. The menu contains basic bar food I ordered the southwest chicken salad that came in a fried she'll of some sort. My friend ordered the bbq chicken pizza which looked yummy my other friend ordered the burger special she stated it was rather dry. The bartender and waitstaff was super friendly. In short if your need for a stiff drink decent food with out the dive vibe I would recommend to stop in. read more

Was here probably 8-9 yrs ago and Sara was still cooking. The food was fabulous just stopped in yesterday and food tastes like prepackaged cafeteria food bland and lackluster and I'm talking about the soup which a long time ago was the best noted in Butler. Need kitchen help ASAP!!! read more

I took my wife and son to Rock Ann last night to get something to eat. We have been going there for years and the food was always decent. Last night it was terrible! I will not be going back! My son and I ordered wings and my wife ordered fish.The wings came out after 45 minutes and they were like eating the turkey on Christmas Vacation. Dry , crispy, and old tasting! my wife's fish was laying on her french fry's when they arrived at the table only to make them extra greasy and like rubber. When this happened I thought well people have an off night and mistakes happen. When my waitress came with the bill and asked me if I wanted a doggie bag, I told her I wouldn't be needing one. She asked if it was good I told her that the chicken tasted old and too well done! I told he that the food tasted like it had been sitting around.She got defensive and told me that the chicken was brought in every day and was cooked a day ahead??????? Bingo!!! That's old food! That conversation went on, but I think you get the point! Bottom line, went there spent $42.00 for food I couldn't eat and had to come home to make a sandwich! read more
