Great Food! Great Atmosphere! Terrible Pricing... I was charged $1.00 to eliminate hot peppers in exchange for avocado.. Then I was charged $0.25 for mayo. Then I was charged $0.25 for ranch. This establishment is to my liking. Their locally-raised beef is absolutely stupendous. The location is a bit of a discouragement, but it is definitely worth taking the time to find it tucked away in such a crowded complex. A little bit pricey, but hey you gotta spend your overtime paycheck on something, right? Friendly customer service and decent beer. I liked the casual atmosphere. Burgers were average, not great, maybe a bit over-priced. Someone in the kitchen got salt-happy with our orders. Burgers and especially the fries, were way too salty. Ruined it for me. I realize this might be a one-off thing but c'mon, the cooks need to take more care with EVERY order when tossing around the salt. You can always add more to your liking at the table but you can't take it away. I'd go back only if the others in our party really wanted to. read more

They just sprinkled dry rosemary over the fries. Could not taste the difference. As for the service the food was served in good time. But then didn't see anyone until we were almost done. When she did.come and asked if everything was ok she didn't give us time to answer. We wanted more beer and had to yell for her. We asked for the )check at that time. Really glad we did. Delicious burgers! The fries are great too. I got the Polish Hill burger and was very satisfied. The cheese fries are amazing. Good service and nice ambience. We will definitely go again. Didn't have any this visit, but the draft beer selection is fantastic. I got a Diet Coke- which came in a can-- and was $2.50. Seemed a little pricey for a can of Diet Coke. Love the original. The service is great and the burgers are the best but I noticed the side portions of salad and fries has gone down significantly since they moved. I always enjoyed a large salad as they have great homemade dressings and fresh greens. This last visit the side salad was literally three pieces of lettuce. Order a full fries and salad as the half now Is not worth the price for the tiny portion. The old bar was so charming this one looks just like another brewery in pittsburgh. This was our second visit here. I am still impressed. It was, I feel, even better this time around. Located in a little plaza off of route 19 North, just through Zelienople, this little place packs a punch. It is a tiny little place with a cool, bar vibe and man can they cook a mean burger. The hubby suggested it because I was craving red meat. I was thinking of two other places and we were in Cranberry and he suggested here. I am SO glad he did. We got the bagel dog app to start. You get two full size amazing hot dogs on buns. The hubby got his sans cream cheese but I got everything which included cream cheese, avocado, bacon - omg! From the bun to the dog and the toppings, fresh and delightfully tasteful. Oh that dog was just, wow! I don't know how you get a dog so crispy on the outside but man they do it well! Then came the burgers. All have names of Pittsburgh neighborhoods. I chose the Polish Hill which was a medium rare burger Cooked to absolute perfection topped with cheddar cheese, Mayo, pierogie, caramelized onions for a symphony in my mouth! It really was - a symphony came out of my mouth. ;) the hubby got the Bloomfield which was cooked as asked and perfect. His burger topped with Swiss crisp -yum, greens, fennel, and mayo (he did not get the onions). So good and I love their shoestring fries. And our waitress was fast and friendly. Let's try this again and see if good ol' Yelp won't let this one stay up. I had been looking forward to trying Burgh'ers for quite a while and finally took the plunge a few Saturdays ago while wife was out of town. I went about 4 in the afternoon so they weren't terribly busy. But apparently the bartender was. I ordered my burger and a mixed drink, and the waitress promptly placed my drink order with the bartender and took my food order to the kitchen. The bartender was in no hurry to start my drink and then a young man comes up to the bar and is immediately greeted by her. After a bit of conversation, she gets him a beer. I think "OK, get his beer out of the way first because my drink will take a bit of construction. I'm ok with that." The she proceeds to stand at the end of the bar where he is at, conversing with him, laughing and giggling with him, then they pull out their smart phones and start googling up stuff, reading and comparing what the're finding!! Absolutely no concern with filling my drink order which she received before the guy came in. And I'm NOT ok with that!!! And this IS NOT just a couple of minutes. This is 6-8 minutes or more. "6-8 minutes" you may think. "So?" Like I said, the place wasn't real busy, and she's making absolutely no effort to tend to anybody else until she's through talking with boy toy (she was middle aged, the best I could tell). And I'm not the only one not getting their drink. It finally came apart when the waitress brought my burger and fries with a glass of water, and embarrassedly made excuses for the bar maid. "Sorry, sweetheart, I watched the whole thing. I've got my food and she is now just getting ready to construct my drink. I've lost my appetite." A shame because I planned on enjoying a few of their expensive drinks in there, And the waitress lost a generous tip due to the bartender's tomfoolery. read more

We returned this summer and snagged a seat on their patio. Again the burgers were delish (I had a hotdog as it was the day after national hotdog day) but again the service was awful but this time through no fault of our server. Burghers was busy that evening and on the patio there were 4 groups of 2 people and 2 groups of 4 when we left. We had beaten the rush so our food arrived in a timely manner but the problem arose when the patio filled up and we needed our bill. The young lady who was our server was obviously in the weeds and no one from inside ever came to help her. She greeted and waited on the 4 tables that were seated all at once and finally stopped to check on us. My husband actually just gave her his credit card so that we wouldn't have to wait for her to find our bill. I'm not lying to you or over exaggerating at all when I say it took 27 minutes before he finally went inside to find her and try to settle up. 27 minutes (i started timing it) During that time those 4 tables sat waiting for drinks (she was inside waiting for the bartender to make them I would assume?). We also watched a family of 5 go in, get seated, and then leave before anyone ever even brought them drinks. I don't know what is up with this place, it's tiny, it shouldn't be this complicated! I worked in f&b for 3 years and could have handled sections twice this size with 1/4 of the wait! I think it boils down to three things: 1: poor training, especially for the hostess. Don't seat 4 tables at the same time in the same section unless you are going to assign someone else to help (hey hostess you can help out too!) 2: lack of team work. Noone ever seems to want to help anyone else out here. The staff doesn't help with delivering food or drinks, bussing tables, checking on guests, nothing. Just a quick tip, a customer who receives good service tips more, which then means that the server will tip out more to the hostess, bus boy, bartender, etc. 3: bad management. I've never seen a manager or anyone who is there just to supervise and make sure everything is going smoothly. And it's a total shame because the food is truly fantastic! I adore their burgers but we will just have to resign ourselves to ordering takeout (yup the burgers are that good that we will continue to order food) read more

I was happy to see that Burgh'ers was participating in Restauant Week this year and thought it was a good time to give them another shot. The 2 burgers and an appetizer for $20.13 was a good draw plus I had heard that they now served local craft beer. What could be bad about that? The first thing I noticed is that they've moved one space down from their original location and have reoriented things inside and you no longer order at a counter. Now there's table service and our waitress, Tori, was awesome!! Really good. We ordered some Lavery IPA's (from Erie) and fried pierogis as our appetizer. They came with sour cream and sauerkraut and were a little dry for my taste but not bad. I chose the Harmony burger with cheddar, horseradish, fresh jalapeños (kudos on that!), caramelized onions and BBQ aioli. My wife tried the Pittsburgher with cheddar, basil slaw and a special sauce. Both were ordered medium well which is how mine came. Hers was more medium raw which she found unappetizing. The buns are more substantial than previously and held up till the end. However, the burger itself hasn't grown in size (huge disappointment) and is still thin and overwhelmed by everything else. I tried just eating the burger alone and noted that it didn't have a lot of flavor. The sandwich was not bad but nearly all the flavor came from the toppings, not the beef. So it felt like they could have left the patty off and it would have tasted exactly the same. I don't know about you but when I think about great burgers what comes to mind are words like thick, juicy, flavorful. So by that standard, they fall far short. I applaud the support of local ingredients and the selection of local craft beers. But I want more than that. I read that this place had the best burgers around so we drove 15 miles to find this place. It was difficult to find first of all. It is in the middle of a strip mall. It is setup like a Subway. You have to go up to the counter to order your food. The only menu is on the wall like a fast food restaurant without the pictures. It was very confusing on how and what to order. Even with the limited menu. We were kind of shocked that the burgers started at $10.00 and toppings like cheese and bacon were .95 cents each. That did include fries but still, for a Subway like experience, it seemed way overpriced. When our burgers came so did our next disappointment. I couldn't believe I just paid $12.00 for for a bacon cheeseburger that was only 1/4 to 1/3 of a pound patty and a plain normal store bought bun. If I would have known it was going to be that small I would have tried to order a double patty. Who knows how much that would have cost, because that was not on the menu. The burger did taste good, but not any better than what I've made at home with just cheap 80-20 ground meat. They claim every thing is organic and farm raised but I could not tell any difference. If you want a really good burger that will fill you up try The Monroe Hotel in Butler. Order the Monroe Burger. It is 3/4 pound patty that is loaded with all kind of goodies. Groupon got me there. I would have never known the restaurant was there from the signage and the way it sits from the road. The food will bring me back. I was so impressed with their imaginative menu. My hamburger was plenty big enough and delicious. I liked the decor, and what they served the food on. $10 for a beautiful, fresh salad with the mustard vinigarette dressing that I could have drank, sandwich and fries. Who can complain about that? The bar is cute with all the old fashion items to make the prohibition drinks. I was blown away. Great service. Pretty dead at 12:30 on a week day. The menu looks very good and I went for the polish burger with fries (salad or fries are included). The place was very new, bright, and clean. Finally got around to adding this place to the list of new burger joints that have popped up over the last couple of years such as BrGr, Burgatory, and Wingharts. I have yet to make it to Wingharts but so far Burgatory is still the clear winner. Like it so often happens, I'd prefer to give 2.5 stars but that is not an option. 3 doesn't seem accurate, but neither does 2. I ordered the Rueben Hot Dog and the Polish Hill Burger. SIde salad with honey vinegarette with one and Mac N Cheese with the other. The Good: Food was tasty, though the burger suffered from a little salt overkill. I don't think I have ever said that about a dish before as I put salt on everything. Still enjoyable though. Honey Vinegarette dressing is made in house and was very tasty. Cheese sauce for Mac N Cheese made in house as well. It was ok. The highlight was probably the hotdog. I enjoyed it or the salad the most. It was slow, but service was friendly, accurate, and prompt. The Bad: I had thought since the side dishes are included here unlike BrGr and Burgatory this was would end up being a better value than the others. But both the hot dog and the burger was about the smallest in terms of portion size I have ever recieved anywhere. Lots of bread, not so much meat. Maybe a 1/3 lb. on the burger if lucky. Just like the other new burger bars, this place highlights it's health consciousness but touting they use local, fresh ingredients whenever possible and I believe I may have even read the beef is grass-fed similar to Burgatory using hormone-free beef. Unfortuantely, just like all the others, they still insist in frying everything in rancid vegtable oil. For a polish boy who grew up sauteeing perogies in butter this is almost blasphemous. The fries are more understandable but I'm still waiting for someone to actually go full-tilt on the food quality thing and go back to using lard, bacon grease, butter, etc for frying.... Not only is it healthier it just flat out tastes better. Final Score: While my meal was enjoyable, it was kind of a 'meh'. Wouldn't go out of my way to return, though admittedly it is a hike from Pittsburgh. If I want a burger it looks like Burgatory is the winner so far. If I want a hot dog I'll do Franktuary. read more
