My sister lives in the area and suggested we have breakfast at this newly opened restaurant. It was a great idea. They currently have three different rooms for dining, as well as an outside deck under construction. The menu has about eight different omelets, eight breakfast combos, wraps, sandwiches, pancakes and waffles. I opted for the veggie cheese omelet with hash browns and rye toast. I have been eating at the New Sheffield Cafe my whole entire life! It is in a new location on Brodhead Road. I probably have only gotten three or four things until my last time there...wanted to venture out. The new location has a great size bar upstairs, and one downstairs too, as well as two rooms of low tables and some high tops table in the bar area. The last time there my husband and I both got a cup of clam chowder soup that was pretty good and shared a basket of friend shrimp, fries, and cole slaw. The shrimp were great as well as their fries. I got a large steak salad but should have gotten a small. Steak was great. Real pieces of steak...not nasty steakums. Cubed cheese was a nice option. Ranch tasted homemade. My son got a custom burger with fries. He said it was good. The fries are those crispy seasoned kind. Also got a buffalo chicken wrap but saving that for lunch tomorrow. This place is pretty cool. Best Onion Rings I think I've ever had. Please take that Buffalo chicken dip off your menu. I'm not even sure how one makes Buffalo chicken that is both bland and bad. Just had the #6 Triple. 3 eggs, hash browns or home fries, toast and meat. $11.19. It was really good. Over easy eggs cooked perfectly. I requested crispy bacon and that's what I got. Texas toast toasted perfectly. I could eat this every day if my cardiologist would let me! Lots of crispy hash browns. Very good breakfast. Hello I ordered shrimp salad ($20) and received a steak salad When I called I was told by Brittany that I could bring the salad back ( this was my lunch from work) I asked for a door dash or refund and was told no they can't and won't do that. i have a picture of my receipt and the food I received. Wasn't very busy at all and they seemed to have too many employees that didn't know what to do with themselves. I had the mahi mahi which turned out to be dry & no flavor. STEAK SALADS!!! Since the Hilltop in Rochester closed, we have been searching for a decent steak salad all over the Pittsburgh area. Found it. Awesome. The steak tips were perfectly seasoned and fork tender. The option to choose cubes of cheese instead of shredded sealed the deal. I bet there was a pound of cubed mozzarella on each salad. Real eggs, black olives and whole pepperoncini peppers put it over the top. The sweet and sour dressing wasn't homemade, but I'll take Marzettis any day. As for the rest of the menu, the steak tips over noodles looked good, but I probably won't order anything else here. read more

Linda's SERVICE was the BEST. Great tasting (very large) Vege Omelet. Hash browns too thin and greasy tasting. Biscuits & Gravy I did not like the (thin) sausage gravy‐ made with pizza sausage bits and could not taste the biscuits. Easy over eggs perfectly cooked. Nice place, good food, great service, but the seats in the downstairs restaurant and bar are the worst I've ever sat in. I've talk to many people about the new location and they all said the same thing about the horrible chairs. They are cheap aluminum chairs that make your butt hurt and your legs go numb after a half an hour or so, just makes you want to leave. I would rather be somewhere comfortable when hanging out with friends! read more

I am very disappointed in the service of this establishment. My family and I have frequented this places numerous times as we live in the neighborhood. I think Covid has really put a strain on them. Last time we tried to dine in, myself, husband and 2 year old were thankfully told before ordering that the wait for food was over 1.5hrs because of take out orders. I am so thankful the waiter realized we had a toddler with us and was honest about the wait, we happily left. Tonight we tried to have dinner there again, I ordered a grilled cheese, my mother a salad, my husband fish nuggets and my toddler a side of Mac n cheese. It took almost 1.5 hours to get our food. After waiting an hour I asked the waitress how much longer and was told "it will be a few more minutes, we are backed up with to go orders" when the food finally arrived it was cold, it was cold and my sons side of Mac was burnt he could barely chew it. I returned my grilled cheese asking for a warm sandwich after waiting as long as I had I refused to eat a room temp grilled cheese. Which the bartender gave me attitude for mentioning, but was made another sandwich which took another 20 minutes and the rest of my party was finished with their meals. I understand the strain and stress an increase in take out orders can have, but it sure did not feel as if the dine in customers were a priority. The waitress tried to help by taking my Fountain soda off the bill, which I didn't ask for anything to be removed. So I appreciate the thought. But really ?big whoop one fountain soda isn't gonna make up for terrible service. I was never a big fan of this place prior to this, but my husband likes it so we would frequent, I can assure you now I will not be returning. My family and I used to love their food, especially their salads. However, when we went for take out 2 weeks ago, things were different. First off, as a tip: if you are going to sit near the bar, bring your ID. Even if you're getting pop or water, you will now be carded. I understand that they were busted for serving an underage person, but it makes it a little inconvenient if you just wanted to have a nonalcoholic beverage.
