Came in Saturday night and enjoyed a relaxing time. To be honest, we tried to go to Ravenna Brewery first but they had a line out the door. We were happy to see that Burke-Gilman had their own parking lot and we were excited to be seated right away. We appreciated their COVID-preparedness. We had a choice of indoor or outdoor seating. The indoor space was huge and the booths had additional clear plastic partitions which went all the way up the ceiling. There were also clear signs for where people could sit. Beers were great. If you want a family friendly, dog friendly local brewery, look no further! My friends love to bike on the Burke Gilman trail and end here for a drink. Staff are always friendly and helpful. The outdoor seating is lovely, with string lights, shady trees and nice wooden tables. They are currently requiring proof of vaccination to sit inside, and a mask to order inside as well, so bring a mask or a vaccination card to order. Nothing required to sit outside. read more

Multiple options, all beautifully balanced and individual, great attention paid to getting each variety just right. 3 different Saisons. Several variations of German brews, including a Vienna Lager (delicious), an Altbier (also delicious) and a Pils (that we didn't try). Also tried a Belgian monastery-type beer, recommend that one too. Each beer was complex and well balanced, and this team doesn't do the aggressive hop thing that one finds a lot around Seattle. We were able to try some but not all of the beers on our first visit here. They also serve ciders from Greenwood Ciders. We enjoyed the lingonberry one, didn't try the others. We plan to return, for another flight of different tasters. They don't serve food at present, but there are a food truck and a burger place nearby. read more

Local beer, great space and easy street parking near by. There is limited seating side so be sure to make a reservation for larger groups. Like that you can bring in outside food. Venue is open to all ages and dogs. This is their brewery as well so best that beer is made on site. read more

Absolutely wonderful addition to our neighborhood! The beer is delicious and they are so consistent with their offerings - always debuting new drafts but maintaining excellent regulars. The staff are so nice and the owners very kind and welcoming. They host trivia and events all the time, always welcome kids and dogs, and seem to genuinely care about the community. The beer is excellent. There are not just six Pacific Northwest IPAs and then, a token lager or pale ale. They always have a variety that fits all sorts of different tastes. The space is great - whether you are inside or out. We're all very lucky to have this in our neighborhood. read more

Great new brewery that just opened on 45th before it becomes Sand Point Way/at the base of the Laurelhurst neighborhood. Very clean space, lots of outlets at every table and many bar seats. The brewery has a lovely wooden decor and great local art. The brewery is dog friendly, and has an amazing outdoor seating space with long communal tables. I tried the IPA and the Pale Ale. The IPA was delicious, and the Pale Ale was okay. 5 stars for the friendly staff, and for putting a brewery at the base of my childhood neighborhood. I will definitely be back! read more

Fun place to stop in for a taster or five. We stopped in the middle of our bike ride. My husband enjoyed several of the beers enjoying the endurance IPA the best. I tasted the cherry and raspberry ciders, both very good, but I believe they were brewed by someone else. Over all pleasant visit. They have a nice outdoor patio with bike parking which was very convenient for us. Also it was Easter and they had eggs with candy on the table that just added to our enjoyment. read more

We had an excellent stop at BG Brewing. We popped in to put our name down for an outdoor table and then took a long wonderful stroll down the trail and back. Finishing up our walk with delicious beer and cider on the outdoor patio was just what we needed! FYI Dogs are welcome and there are some tables w outdoor fires for heat. read more

Came here after taking the pups to Magnuson off-leash dog park for a couple pints. Great location and they've got El Camion food truck in the lot next to them! The beers were great and there was plenty of room inside. They're very dog friendly, which we always appreciate, and have a wall with polaroids of all the pup patrons! read more

Such a cool spot in such a fun area! Loved that there was a parking area instead of having to find street parking! They have flights of 5 or 11 so of course my mom and I had to brave the 11. Board games, pretzels and water helped us finish the flight :) our only qualm was that children were allowed in the brewery, which threw off the mood a little but still such a great place with amazing and knowledgeable staff. I love this brewery. Great beer. Great people. Great location. Today I went there and I sat on the patio. Six feet was clearly marked and each seating area had a green sign that said 'this has been disinfected '. We sat there a long time. People came and went... nobody wiped the tables. Eventually I went in and said 'i hate to be rude, but nobody is wiping those tables ' several minutes later someone came out and sprayed one of the four vacated tables. More people came and sat down on tables that said 'this has been disinfected ' even those clearly hadn 't. If we don't follow the rules, we're going to end up back at phase 1 read more

This is our local brewery and we come here a couple times per week. Excellent beers (IPAs, stouts, and well-curated list of guest ciders). Basically everything they've made has been excellent. The place is dog friendly and very cozy inside. And the staff are nice and know their beer. Even though Burke-Gilman Brewing is new, it's already in the top tier of Seattle breweries in our book. read more

Burke Gilman is off to a great start! First, their beer is both tasty and representative of a variety of styles. I've tasted most of what's been on offer and everything is working. I am especially appreciative of their kind if old school traditional London Brown...my gawd it can be hard to find the like in the sea of IPA styles in the Northwest, but I am so happy they represent some history in that brew! The space is great too. Indoor, check. Outdoor, check. Nice build out. Comfortable and cozy! I have had some good discussions with the owners/ Brewers/ pourers, and there is a good vibe amongst the customers too. So far, a great addition to the neighborhood. A couple times of late, I've done a nice little progressive...Ravenna, Burke Gilman, and end up at Magnuson...solid! read more

Met friends at Burke Gilman Brewing for trivia night on Wednesday! The staff was friendly and eager to help me choose my flight even with a few people in line behind me. The space is warm and inviting with a good amount of seating without the space feeling crowded. The trivia was lighthearted and fun without being too easy or too difficult, and the MC for trivia was engaging and fun. I'll be revisiting in the summer when the patio is open! read more

Cannot say enough good things about this brewery! We hosted our co-ed baby shower here on a Sunday afternoon. The brewery let us bring pizza, veggies, cakes and non-alcoholic drinks in. They reserved several tables for our group of 45-50 at no cost. We bought beer tickets for each guest to take and paid the alcohol tab at the end which was super reasonable. They even gave me (the pregnant lady), a canned beverage to take home to enjoy after the baby comes. The staff / owners were so helpful and friendly, assisting us in setting up and taking down. The shower went off without a hitch and was so easy and relaxed. It couldn't have worked out more perfectly, and we are so grateful to this local joint! read more

So excited to have this place in the neighborhood? Been twice since opening and have enjoyed our visits. The service is friendly, but lines can get long as individuals get the low down on the beers, might be helpful to have a ready to order line. Good selection of seating both in and outdoors and the amount of nearby food options is great since they don't serve food. Our household has very different tastes in beer and my husband overall thinks the beers or ok to good. I'm struggling to find one I really like as I lean towards sours or at least less bitter options, but the proximity and atmosphere are still worth it. read more

This may be the best thing to happen to this part of Laurelhurst in a long time. This stretch around U Village and Children's Hospital has few places to go to hang out. There isn't a single cafe. The Burke-Gilman Brewing Company fills that void. Besides the amazing repertoire of ales, IPAs, porters and stouts brewed on site it offers excellent service but in a laidback atmosphere. There are electric outlets at all the booths and at the bar and you can bring in your own food!! They also offer an array of great sodas and games to play. I'm pretty specific about my tastes in microbrews and the cool guy behind the register kind of read my mind as I narrated my random history of what I used to like but like now. I'm only 50, but sometimes I feel patronized by young men of a certain age in what is a hipster scene. There was none of this in evidence. The Burke-Gilman Brewing Company employs experts in their craft who don't need to be in a hipster scene to do what they do best. Plus the pretzels are free!!! read more

I stopped by this new brewery and found it to be a refreshing change from most of the breweries in the Seattle area - great decor, plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, friendly, eager, and knowledgeable staff. The bar is clean, modern, and has plenty of power at every seat for those still fixed to their phone screens. Their beers on tap were fresh, good, and they are what they say they are. Although they do not serve food here (bowls of pretzels for those wishing to snack on something), there are plenty of restaurants and food trucks in the area and the staff encourages you to get some food to go and bring it on in to eat while you enjoy a frothy beverage. This brewery is only going to get better as it ages. read more
