Right away, I like how this Chucks has 3 people behind the counter as opposed to the CD where it seems like it would be one or two most of the time. The lines seemed to go a bit faster here at Greenwood. The layouts to both locations are similar in that they have lots of snacks to offer to eat but all of the options here at Greenwood which include candies and chips - the usual kind of stuff, it's cluttered at the front entrance when you walk in and looks, well cluttered. Not a big deal, just a minor blip. There is plenty of seating, both indoor and outdoor. Lots of people with their pets, kids, people playing board games, people not even drinking beer, just Topo chicos. Of course, the great thing about Chucks is the massive and somewhat overwhelming choices of beer. I had nice few rounds of some nice brews, served in their signature handled glass jar mugs. There are several beers and some ciders on tap from all around and all the ipa's I've tried here have been pretty decent. from there you grab your brew and have a seat at high top tables within the tap room. Again, the setting is mid-sized good for a couple groups of four and a few two person tables. Music is at a decent volume and is lit dimly making it decent for a date spot or just a place to have conversation without raised voices. Fridges line the tap room so you can mix and match beers, ciders and wines to take out which is cool. I like Bottleworks, I want to enjoy it more, but there are some issues holding me to 3 stars. The staff are...alright. Not bad, but I feel could be a little friendlier. Also they don't allow sample pours? This is a common thing at most breweries, but maybe it's because this is a tap room, but beers run a bit higher here - $8-9 a pour so that's annoying that you can't even try a couple. Lastly, they rotate things out it seems weekly. Some of the more popular options I suppose they keep but seems like a lot of turn around on the drinks so if you like something they have on tap, don't get too attached. Perhaps on subsequent visits It will improve, and I can boost the score here, but besides the decent beers and setting, it's just OK here.

It's smaller than I imagined it to be but every beer inside, from the draft list to the cans and the bottles are carefully curated by the staff. We grabbed a quick beer (Hill Farmstead, which is the first time I've seen this brewery for sale in the since I started this trip 6 weeks ago and Ive been through 4 states) Then we shopped for some cans, we quickly had to refrain from buying too much as the refrigerator in our van only holds so much. We ended up with a six pack and then grabbed a mystery 4 pack on the way out (mystery 4 pack was stellar). While we're shopping they opened a sour from Jester King and shared it with us. I honestly wish I lived a bit closer (Las Vegas is kinda far) because I'd be here everyday... Honestly, they have a whole cooler just for barley wine! It's a great place for families in the afternoon and date nights in the evenings. It's more of a chill area of town and I'm sure the resident's of this neighborhood that enjoy craft beer take advantage of it's location. I had a couple of beers here which were quite good. They were guest tap beers as this is a tap house and guest taps is a part of what they do. It's primarily made of of local breweries or at least ones in the Pacific Northwest. It was a good selection and the beers I had off the tap were quite refreshing. I also browsed and purchased through their refrigerated section containing cans of beer to take home. I found a few that grabbed my interest. Some beers were collaborations with other breweries that I wanted to try so I definitely made sure to get those beers for sure. Nice, neighborhood beer bar and bottle shop all around and I am glad I paid a visit here and the less known and quieter neighborhood in the bustling metropolis was a nice change of pace.

The vast majority of beers on tap are form the PNW, although you can usually find 1-2 beers from Russian River. The staff really know the beers, and on Mondays and Tuesdays, they play LPs which is nice. There is convenient parking out back, and it's a great spot to pick up a 6 pack or chill out for a couple of hours.

(We usually drive all the way up to Bellingham for cases, but it's nice to know we have the option so close to home!) I found my new favorite taproom in North Seattle!
