Our teen boy hit a fist sized piece of road debris and went down hard, bouncing off of the guardrail. A quick call to 911 and the Team from Station 41 arrived on the scene in less than 5 minutes. They quickly assessed the boy and we decided a trip to Fair Oaks was in order. What really surprised and impressed us is when they offered to take our bikes back to the station so we did not need to worry about them. Mike, the EMS supervisor then offered to drive dad all the way to Manassas so dad could pick up a vehicle while mom went off to the hospital with our boy. They made it so easy to focus on what mattered the most, the health and safety of our son. Thanks to the Team at Station 41. We did not learn all of the names to thank you each, individually, but we are grateful for your compassion and expert care.

Aren't all fire and rescue folks? Yes but these people take it to another level. They are incredibly active. 24/7 365 these crews work so hard. They have won many impressive awards. Highly decorated and sharp too. If not mistaken, they've been one of the best nationally several times. Am grateful for them. They exemplify being the best. Lots of car accidents, and they are on point. They work long hours but exemplify excellence. This department has invited Scouts of America, and other groups to learn about fire safety. They have kindly shown off their equipment and training. A good core of folks here. If you have kids, definitely take them to the open house. It's quite a special occasion. There are a lot of eyesore commercial properties, including strip malls that don't offer much. Yet I will give it this, and that's going to be restaurants are awesome. There's no denying the rich diversity also. Some of the DC areas best Korean restaurants are here. These are a lot of fun and tasty spots. There are so many it's hard to decide which one. I do hope this community can be redeveloped though. As it stands there's too much density and traffic. These affect one's quality of life. The parks in Annandale are okay at best.

I have been an ADT customer since 2013, but my recent experience with an equipment upgrade has been…read morea nightmare. Shortly after the upgrade, the main controller board failed. Despite my home being protected by an APC surge protector and a Ting monitoring system (which confirmed no surges occurred), the first technician insisted a power surge "fried" the board. Ironically, the system came back online just by wiggling a connector. When I requested a second opinion, ADT quoted a $59 service fee. However, the second technician informed me mid-job that I would be charged $240 per 30 minutes. I was presented with a bill for nearly $500 to troubleshoot a $170 part. The technician refused to leave my home until I signed the work order. While a manager eventually reduced the bill to $300 "under protest," I felt coerced and price-gouged. After 13 years of loyalty, I am extremely disappointed in this lack of integrity.

Granted, I should have been more careful, but when I called to cancel after 3 years and said I'd gladly pay for the balance of the equipment, but was no longer in need of monitoring since it didn't seem to work with our wifi and the beeps were always going off in the middle of the night. I said the system was causing me great distress because I never knew when a wifi-error would occur and it was usually when we were sleeping. BEEP BEEP BEEP! Enough to drive you crazy. Beeps trigger me and they could have been more sympathetic, but just kept telling me I had two more years on my contract. Yes, you can reboot, etc. etc but I never had any issues in 20 years with Vector Security at my old house. I tried several times to talk to representatives. Finally after going through two layers of employees with a promise to finally talk to someone who could handle this matter, I gave them my availability to talk and no one ever bothered to call. They just DON'T CARE! All they want is your money, money, money! I will never deal with this company again since I was a three year customer and they could not see a way to cancel my monitoring fee, despite me no longer using their service! Highway robbery. If you do sign a contract, make sure it's no longer than one year.
