Since they were almost 20 years old, I bought two new smoke alarms and replaced them. However, the beeping continued so I called the Reston Fire Station and explained what I had done. Thirty minutes later, they showed up and looked at the two smoke alarms and told me they were fine. They asked me if I also had a carbon monoxide alarm. I told them yes but since it was plugged to an outlet and never thought it would need a battery. Come to find out that they do. They replaced the battery and the beeping stopped. I like that they do events for the area, and also are quick to help residents in a multitude of ways. Serving, protecting, and providing to others. They do this with the high standards, that they've been known for decades. They handle their fire and rescue operations professionally. Am writing this wishing my son was younger, but even he enjoyed Santa making the rounds on a fire engine during Christmas time. This past holiday I was having a rough day, and was thoroughly exhausted after moving to the area. Sirens cranked on and I saw the lights. Just like anyone I looked out to expect the worst, but literally grinned seeing Santa on top of the engine. Things like that are kind, and also help facilitate good relations with the community. Top notch folks, and am grateful for this company.

I talked with a woman named Francesca, we discussed what I saw and experienced at this motel and... No, what actually  happened, is me speaking to an answering machine  and leaving a recorded message.  Yeah, nothing fancy or amazing about this, but it might get the ball rolling if this Osha office in Virginia Beach isn't shut down, because of The Coronavirus Outbreak.  Nevertheless,  this is just round one of getting in contact with them. When I first head of Osha, i was lead to believe these people were the scariest inspectors you don't want showing up at your business.  If they do show up, you might have already messed up royally.  This is what I heard when I was getting training as a pool operator with Century Pool Management.  Months later I was working at a pool when a lady for Osha walked in. I realized who she was, but wasn't nervous. Apparently someone was highly pissed off at what was going on at the pool with another lifeguard and called Osha.   The Osha lady had inspected what the complaint was and found nothing wrong. She did find something else wrong and informed me about it. I got the issue taken care the next day. Up until now, this is was my only contact experience with Osha, but now it will be my second.

With good faith, I first stepped into this office on SEPTEMBER 3, 2025. The insurance agent I was assigned to seemed very nice, & competent enough to solve my concern of finally obtaining 2 life insurance policies to be placed in my name, and subsequently cashed out. I went into this situation knowing entirely that it was going to take some patience & perseverance-on my part & my agent. However, I never dreamed the process would take almost 4 MONTHS, with no updates or guidance on where my payouts were. I was told I needed a "small estate affidavit", & that this may be a process I have to get the COURTS involved in?? I had to go so far as reaching out to my family lawyer, who settled my grandparents trust ( to whom I was a beneficiary), and even call my uncle who was executor of the estate to "open it back up again", to get the information that was needed. That was NOVEMBER 25, TODAY.. is NEW YEARS EVE AND I STILL HAVE NO PAYOUT. I have called the office repeatedly, almost daily for a week, with no one answering the phone. I told the agent I really needed this payout to help with dental surgery I desperately needed. I am now without 4 teeth. This office has left me no other recourse but to try the Bowie office; maybe there I'll get some results.

Good Morning All…read more I didn't get a chance to say Good Bye, since I was forced out without a chance to even get my head on straight when it happened. I wanted to let you all know that I truely enjoyed working with you and wanted you to know I miss most of you with all my heart. I have been with the military all my life being born into a Marine family and joining the Army after graduation at 18 from high school. I didn't have a real family, just the Army and I made up my mind that I was going to help soldiers so they didn't suffer like the Vietnam Veterans did, so I dedicated my self to helping soldiers after LTG Schultz asked me to work in HCM to get officer AGR packets done. All in all I enjoyed being there, but it took a LTC , CPT(P), MAJ and most of all CW3 and they all know who they are to make statements against me to destroy my time working with you. There are ample ways to commute to the building, using public transportation, free shuttles, slug-lining, ride-sharing, Metro Connect buses, and van-share companies. I have never seen a single person, in uniform or out of uniform, treat contractors any different than they treat anyone else. Most contract personnel, well over 70 percent of us, are former military NCOs or officers. Contractors hold a wealth of institutional knowledge, and most of us have to have security clearances.

This station sits less than a mile away from Nats Park and all of its glory. I've visited a few…read moretimes over the past 2 years and only encountered friendly professionals. Everyone from the clerks, advocates, to detectives happily answer questions and go above and beyond what's required. The facility is a repurposed old school, but it's functional. After all, it's a police station so it doesn't have to be pretty. I love that they hold the Tree of Remembrance Memorial for the community every year. After formalities, there's singing, poetry, and lite bites. MPD top leadership also attends and provides direct contact information to demonstrate their commitment to closing cases. Hopefully you have no reason to visit, but if you do- rest assured that they will make every attempt to accommodate.
