It had been years since I stepped into a TJ Maxx and it was nice to get reacquainted. It's almost like a Bed Bath and Beyond / Marshall's / Kohls type of place but seem to have a lot of clothes. And they be shopping in there. Lots of clothes and shoes, some small kitchen appliances, some small furniture offerings, some food, storage options, organizers, luggage, makeup, a lot of stuff here. I didn't find any men's clothing or shoes there - I think Kohls as a better selection IMO, but picked up some good organizational items to use for the kitchen. Be weary of the prices - even though it may seem to best best or lowest price I like to check google for validation. Overall I spent a lot of time browsing but only came out with a couple of items. But I think it is a great option for your essentials, and it is always busy here too.

I found it at the TJ Maxx in Sunset Valley but when I got home, I put my hands in the pocket in the left one went all the way through. I had to return that to TJ Maxx in Sunset Valley. I'm working at the domain Whole Foods this week/weekend and I was able to go to the TJ Maxx on great Hills Trails after work and wow, they have so much more stuff! I got some great things on sale for six dollars! And I got the matching pants! That store was packed with merchandise. I even bought Christmas presents because they were marked down so much and I like to buy Christmas presents throughout the year so that I don't have to fork out a lot of money in December. I just have to remember where I hide them! Ha ha ha!

Short girl, pale, complaining about everything when I asked a question side and said I don't know. I asked for a drink with a splash, listen to me when I say this a "splash," of heavy cream, and she poured, "poured," so much heavy cream it's disgusting. I don't know how you are training these people, but the difference between, and I'm trying not to curse here, but this is the second time these people don't know what the hell they're doing, if you don't know the difference between a splash, and a Poer, I don't know what to tell you a customer is asking you for a very specific thing. I wanted enough to change the color of my coffee as I said. You poured almost an entire shot glass full of heavy cream into my coffee. It's just kind of stupid I don't get it Train your people to listen to your customers and give them what they want when they requested. A huge sprawling parking lot with enough space under one roof to get in a mile of walking, if one were so compelled. This brings me to Target in Austin Tx. Located in a safe albeit busy part of town this place will have, almost anything you need since it's a Super Target. They're aren't many people walking around so if you need something be prepared to "hunt." Finally the place is always clean and stocked so that's a huge bonus. As for the food, it has what one has come to expect from Target, average products at a low cost however when it comes to fruit and veggies, the supply is always needs a lot of washing. The baked and homemade food items are average but better than that other "blue" store! I've also found they're limited in toys as I tried to purchase some items for my kids but they only have the absolute most popular items. So, if you want that GI Joe action figure, you won't find it here, or at least anything new. As for electronics, they have most of the newest gaming consoles, games and controllers however 4k media is limited, but that's a standard among all stores now as physical media continues to be replaced by inferior forms of content like streaming. Most items like pet food and accessories are in abundance, hardware and housing goods have most of what someone needs and the kitchen section has a lot of average equipment to great stuff depending on what you need. For example, the knife selection is horrible but mixers are just as good as anywhere else. I do all of my vitamin and specialty medicine (not prescription) from Target as it's the cheapest. Overall, Target is exactly what you expect anywhere and that's by design. The only real differences are subtle things that regionally might sell better at one place then another state won't offer a product as it won't make sense. Think of a heavy winter coat for sale in Texas - it isn't needed. Other than those items, it's Target so you already know what you want.

The idea of the store is that it's a store operating within a store. They also have some stand-alone locations. Similar to Nordstrom Rack if you will. They offer merchandise that you would normally find at Macy's from housewares to clothing but with pricing more like TJ Maxx or Marshall's. This location had a lot of items that I wanted and I was able to spend a fraction of the price. I actually bought a couple of things that were also still available in "regular" Macy's but for much less. The inventory changes often so there will most likely always be something different each visit. The sales staff were nice and helpful. If you're a bargain shopper like me, don't pass up Backstage.

Quite honestly, until the blogs and social media began highlighting J.Crew it was not on my radar. J.Crew offers in-store pickup for online orders and occasional promotions for Passport members and credit card holders. For example, you could receive an 10%-30% discount for being a cardholder. J.Crew was having a moderate sale. This was another store strike out for me. However, I always enjoy seeing what they have to offer and what is on trend.

Oscar helped me with jeans while another staff member helped my bf with tshirts (didn't catch his name). I told Oscar my dilemma with my 1955 jeans, and he recommended boncoura work pants to me. I think they're a new product and were made in partnership with self edge? I don't remember all the details beyond him telling me he fits women in these pants because they surprisingly fit women really well. I tried them on...and yeah. I walked out of the store with them and wore them the rest of the day lol. Everyone was super helpful while we shopped and tried clothes on. I think I actually had a better experience here than at the SF store. They have a parking lot out front, so the store is really accessible. If you're looking for raw denim, visit self edge. If you're looking for premium, well-made basics or you're into working menswear from Japan, go to self edge. They're knowledgeable, and they're passionate about the industry and products they carry.
