I keep seeing 3 star reviews because this location is "hit or miss" which is confusing to me because that's how Marshalls is supposed to work I thought? Anyway, yes, sometimes it's fire and other times there's hardly anything good. Besides that it's consistently pretty clean and organized and the staff is friendly enough. There's usually someone nearby to help if you need it. The times I've been the lines don't typically get too long, and when they do the staff is quick to open up new registers and move everyone along. I'm a big fan of the home goods section, there's usually something there that will catch my eye. Though I don't always take it home with me. That and the beauty section are where I spend most of my time. It's a Marshalls so the prices are reasonable. Good spot if you have time to browse and don't have anything particular in mind to get. read more

3 stars because of how hit-or-miss this location is. However, when it's a hit, it's a hit! I occasionally see gems like a Staub or Le Creuset dutch oven, and the shoe section is always well-stocked. I will say that their furniture leaves a lot to be desired, and I will often see damaged pieces that they will further discount due to the damage, but the discount will literally be $7. I'm talking a fully smashed shelf on a bookshelf...that item is unusable, -$7 is unreasonable. Nevertheless, I go at least once each month to scavenge through the aisles, and 5/10 times I find something good! I went the other day and found some awesome puppy toys and other goodies for pets. now i found good products here and they were a good price BUT when we got to the cashier, she asked how i was and i replied good before i could ask how she was back, SHE CUT ME OFF with the credit card question and when i said no she said NOTHING ELSE. My bf went after me, she said the credit card question and after he said no, it was whatever, and then i think he asked how she was, she started talking and right as we were ab to leave she said "have a blessed day young man" WITH A BIG GRIN! + watched him walk away. not only was this inappropriate to do as a cashier but WITH ME RIGHT BESIDE HIM. yet alone she didnt know if he was a minor or not?? (hes been 18 for 2 days ), i didnt catch her name nor was it on the receipt BUT she was almost bald with bleached regrowth, lashes done and a monroe piercing and looked to be in her 30s-40s. Service was great. I entered about 5-10 minutes to close and I was greeted upon entry. Got in line with my returns and the line moved efficiently and I was out like a minute or two after close. Normally go here to buy housewares and knickknacks. Who wants to pay retail or search Amazon when you can probably find the same things here without the markup. They have an ok selection of sheets, towels, and bath rugs. Same with kitchen stuff. They even have a small area with stuff for your pets. I've looked at the clothes and have never really bought anything from that section. If your looking for multipack for undergarments or socks the selection is ok. Tj Maxx is definitely better but if your in central Austin it's here or Ross for discount shopping. With inflation hitting the pocketbook there's no shame shopping here. read more

I went Marshalls today to buy new sheet set and pillows. Decided to go to the clearance aisle found an adorable gnomes candy jar. It was it Halloween themed. It was not marked down like all the other Halloween items. But I wanted it. Went to the front to buy items and ask for price check to on candy jar. She asked another coworker and she was told no, to sell at price marked. Which I didn't understand. I saw all Halloween items marked down and including a queen throw I was buying. The cashierist called for manager. The manager Jeanin R. said that I could buy it for the price marked, full price. I pointed out it was Halloween and other items are marked down. Jeanin than said she could give it to me for clearance price, but not additional 25% off. I never asked for additional percentage off and I'm not familiar with their policy. All I wanted was Halloween clearance price. She turned over candy jar looked at price and she began walking away, tell me over her shoulder she had to look it up. As she was walking away she drop lid to jar. She came back and said sorry, well I can now give you multiple discount if you still want it. I told her I wanted the regional manger number. She walked down the counter looking at wall to give me number. But than she walked away and was gone for about 5 minutes. All that time a coworker came up to me and told me that the manager didn't break it on purpose and how nice she is and the reginal manger told them that they shouldn't be selling Halloween items. But if a customer wanted item, they could sell it for the price marked. She also said how short staff they are and they haven't had time to remove Halloween items from shelves. Which didn't make since to me, if they had the time to move all Halloween items to clearance aisle, would it make since to box them instead? I did tell the employee that I did believe it was intentional. For the mere reason, that she mentioned that she didn't. I stood there listening to all their explanations and reasoning , I became offended because I never accused anyone of doing anything. I even had to ask cashierist to finish transaction. So her coworker would stop speaking to me. A customer actually told the employee thank for trying to defused the situation. I never raised my voice, I just simply disagreed with all she had to say. I tried calling the number she gave me for reginal manager Mark B. phone rang, never going to voicemail. For all I know it was a bogus number. Manger was very passive aggressive. Never going going to Arbor Walk location again. Ruined my day. read more

It totally depends on the stock available. Sometimes its great, else its a miss ! Some of the staff - particularly one lady is quiet cranky and rude. The checkout process is always slow.. Even though there are couple of check out counters, but be it be 2 people in line or 15 waiting .. half of the counters are closed. read more

If you leave your cart alone for more than 10 seconds, the store associates will take it away. Also sales coordinator, Stella M was extremely rude to me when I tried to claim back my cart after they took it away. I moved to Austin after three years of living in a city where the temperature rarely hits 75, so I'm rebuilding a summer wardrobe from almost nothing. But I've also gotten really picky about my clothes and what's worth buying. So after several frustrating hours at a mall last week, I was ready to splurge on a cute dress at Macy's. It was more than $100, which I think is a lot for a simple cotton dress. But I was feeling desperate. Desperate and lazy. Too lazy, in fact, to wait in the ridiculously long line for a dressing room. So i left empty handed. And so glad I did! Because I found the same dress (if not the same, pretty damn close) this weekend at Marshall's for $30--which meant I still had money for two other cute dresses. Like all discount stores, there's definitely crap to sort through (and the cheapest of the cheap things often looked it). But this was a pretty nice Marshall's, and I found some good quality stuff for not so much money. So I'm a happy camper. read more

Marshalls has been my new favorite place to shop! Can't beat some of these deals! I'll be moving into a new apartment in a few weeks, so for the past few months I have been randomly visiting this location. I have purchased: Wine glasses, bed sheets, towels, new food dish for my dog, dog bed, kitchen accessories, and several other items. There was a nice cutlery set at Bed Bath and Beyond next door that I really wanted. Popped into Marshalls and found the same set way cheaper!!! Great finds for great prices, my only beef is the limited selection. And of course when at a "discount" store , you will deal with screaming kids running around but I save $! read more

Don't even bother. I've been here numerous times and it's bare bones up in herr! Every pair of shoes looks like 46 no-sock wearin' foo' done tried it on before you. That shit nasty. I am extremely patient and have shopped at these kinda stores my whole life and I repeatedly walk out of there asking why I wasted my time. They're constantly over picked and under stocked. Marshall's is my favorite place to get shoes. It's very hit-or-miss, requiring extra effort and time like thrift-store shopping does, but yesterday I found an amazing $40 pair of heels there. They are super cute and comfortable, but the best part is looking them up online and seeing that they cost $80 on Zappos and Shoes.com! Also great deals on kitchen stuff, as others have noted. I don't even bother looking at the clothes. Most are dowdy, and they never seem to have anything in small and XS sizes. read more

I am a total TJ Maxx fangirl. And Marshalls is now owned by TJ Maxx which means it should be equally as awesome, right? In this case the answer is no. First off, it takes a certain amount of patience to shop at a store like TJ Maxx or Marshalls. Very similar to a Goodwill experience but ideally with better lighting, ambience and fresher goods for sale. Well, this particular Marshalls had me thinking I was in a Goodwill. One of the nicer ones, but not in the best neighborhood. The store is poorly lit, kinda dingy, and the layout is atrocious. Not a welcoming shopping experience. Yes, there are still deals to be had but the merchandise seems like it was discarded from Wal-Mart rather than Bloomingdales. The shoe section is very Payless. Definitely not what I've come to expect from the TJ Maxx brand. read more

Both employees are rude and I saw how they looked unhappy working there .guys let me tell you this ,if you don't like your job ,look for something better. But don't forget, This is not your business, You get paid to be here to take care of the guests, to help and to be polite. By the way I saw this Japanese lady fixing some stuff around the store. She is really rude and doesn't smile and is very down most of the time. She doesn't greet or anything:( I can't believe that these type of people get hired to work around people selling items. I've been to quite a few Marshall's in my day and this was by far the cleanest, most organized one! I stopped in to get a pair of new sandals; there were a lot on sale - less than $20! I also thought they had a decent selection of beauty (mostly lotions) products. As the other reviews mentioned, the housewares section is where it's at! If you're looking to furnish a new apartment/house/room, come to Marshall's. Everything from bedding to Kitchenaid utensils can be found here. I skipped the clothes pursuing for today as I had a belly full of Chipotle (in the same shopping center - SUPER bonus!!), but I will definitely be back to check out what they got! read more

Good place to find quality clothes and shoes if you are willing to sift. I always tend to find dressy tank tops or blouses with no problems. This place is also great for cheap candles, shoes, and some home decor (mostly odds and ins). There is no wait at their dressing room which is always nice, but do expect a line at check out. Oh and they have a great selection on doggy beds and toys for real cheap!! read more

Marshall's opened up with the new Mueller shopping center, and I couldn't be happier. Finally a nice, big-box type store that is close to our neighborhood! This is a really nice Marshall's too - they have name brand clothing and shoes, such as Seven jeans, DKNY, BCBG Max Azaria, Nine West shoes, Born shoes, etc. Name brand stuff that is marked off. And to top it off, the store is clean and well-organized, and it stays that way. I will definitely be a repeat customer! read more

I like Marshall's / TJ Maxx because it's like treasure hunting. There is a lot of crap in there, but I usually leave with a good deal.

My husband and I recently purchased thank you cards to send out after our wedding. The cards we found were perfect but without packaging or price. Sharon Perkins was *luckily* our customer service representative. We approached the checkout line and were so grateful to have been greeted by her- especially since the first associate we passed ignored us. Despite not having a priced item, Sharon had an exceptional attitude. She was kind, courteous and present. She really impressed us when she patiently rung up our purchase with a gift card she helped us use every last penny of. We were completely surprised by her ability to make us feel like we were valued customers and didn't rush us a bit. Sharon Perkins is the reason we will continue to shop at this location. We hope her manager sees this and recognizes her efforts. We appreciated them! read more

I love rack hunting, slow browsing, hidden gem finding shopping at places like Marshalls. I think I'm going to have to skip this location, though. The purse selection is super slim. There were quite a few shoes but size options were also slim. Some locations have some nicer, higher quality brands in the clothing but if this store had any of that I missed it. This location had a fair amount of kitchen stuff when I was there, but overall it seemed super crowded, picked over, and a little bit chaotic. read more

Selection could be better but it was also very crowded so just picked through what's left. At least I got my CoolWater Cologne!

There weren't that many good finds at this Marshalls location compared to the other locations in Austin. I came on a Wednesday and it didn't seem like they restocked on the active wear for women's in weeks. The racks were so bare. I was pretty disappointed. Before coming here I went to the Marshalls near the domain and they had at least a full aisle full of leggings (both racks in one aisle). This one maybe had 1/3 of an aisle of leggings. Barely any sports bras or workout shirts, again only maybe 1/2 of a single aisle rack. At the domain location I would say at least one full aisle of sports bras. The shoes were organized but nothing that surprised me. The makeup selection is meh. I found an "high-end" eyelash curler that usually retails for $20 but I paid ~$14. Couldn't find anything else that was high end make up. Overall it's an okay Marshalls but don't expect much if you are used to finding a lot. read more

I completely stalked dresses here this summer when I was hoping to find a dual-purpose dress (matron of honor in an outdoor wedding at Mt. Bonnell, and bridesmaid dress in an outdoor wedding at a Sonoma winery) -- I know, high hopes that I usually don't pin on discount stores, but man, when you score that find, you can't help but go back. I did end up finding an awesome Adriana Papel dress for the Mt. Bonnell wedding for $30 -- not her usual style, much more summery & outdoor appropriate, versus her other dresses which usually run $170+ -- so I was super happy. And more recently, the hubs & I scored a Ralph Lauren comforter for $40 -- we don't care so much that it was RL, but the only similarly-priced down alternative comforter that we could find was on Amazon for $37.99 -- even Target's were running base $59.99. So hey, $40 for here and now? Rockfest. I've also scored a great bath rug for $12.99... Not so sure about the men's section, true, but it's still worth a trip, if you're a bargain hunter and like a little more space & organization compared with some other discount stores in town. read more
