Shopping in Las Vegas, Nevada... I've passed by Burlington so many times and never had a chance to stop by. Well, this time, I parked in the free lot and showed my roommate why I like Burlington. It's a discount store like Ross, Marshalls, and TJ Maxx. There's a lot of merchandise and great deals. This store does not just have Coats... since it used to be called Burlington Coat Factory. I think the name change helped. I had great Shopping experiences at Burlington in Houston. I got rainboots for my niece, her roommate, and myself... and got a useful, sakura-patterned luggage! This time, in Las Vegas, I got a pair of dress shoes... LOL! We don't have Burlington in Hawaii and I'm quite sure no one will have these shoes. I liked the sports teams' gear. I was looking for VGK (Vegas Golden Knights) stuff, but there was none. I did see a bunch of Hello Kitty jewelry... wow... very tempting... and i saw cables for the phone... LOL! We came here for one thing: children's pajamas. Not good. There were few PJ sets in our son's size: 14. We lasted five minutes before walking out. It's a huge store. (I used to shop here, years ago, when I was working in a nearby real estate office.) (But, the following weekend, we went back to our usual one, on Sahara/Hualapai, and found a set for $4.99. Today 2/15/25 It is 11:25pm and they told me I could not try on the outfits I want to buy before they closed. I work very crazy long hours and this is the only store that has hours capable for me to shop at this time. GARY, The store manger's service was HORRIBLE. He's the one that told me I could not go into the fitting room. He didn't only tell me I couldn't. He saw me taking my clothes out of the kart to try on. As I'm organizing to take into the fitting room...He walked behind me. Then went to try to close it as I was trying to walk in. With a very firm voice, almost shouting to me, saying you cannot try them on. We are closed. I proceeded to tell him I have to try them on because I'm traveling and this is the only store open this late. This is when he got extra firm. I extremely do not appreciate being treated nor spoken to in this way. They also still had 30mins to closing. Store closes at 12midnight. There was barely anybody in the store...less than 10 people as I walked through the line to count & ask a staff for a manager. I then proceeded to ask one of the staffs who is the working manager on shift tonight? The young man turns to point at the same man who just told me I couldn't. Thats how I found out his name is Gary. He wasn't too sure if his own mangers name was Gary. However, he's an older white male with medium length hair that was dark hair & gray hair. Not sure how to explain this one, but the worst experience in one of our favorite stores happened today. My wife and mother-in-law went shopping here today and when they went to the register to check out, they were caught off-guard by the racist comments ever. My wife had nearly $ 1,000 worth of clothing in her cart. The cashier started by asking if my wife wanted a Burlington credit card. My wife said no thank you and explained that she was from Mexico. That was when the cashier proceeded to ask if my wife had enough to pay for all of these items. My wife said yes and even offered to pay it in two charges to show she had enough. The cashier then proceeded to ask if my wife was going to return everything. The cashier next to her, speaking in Spanish, was shocked that my wife was being treated like that. The cashier helping my wife then tried to sound like it was no problem by stating that many Mexicans from Monterrey come and spend thousands in the store. Why did the cashier have to treat my wife like that? How can someone so racist still have a job? read more

I love getting name brand clothes at such a low price when shopping here. Yet their customer service needs a lot of work. People should not be standing in line for over 40 mins waiting to check. I am writing to say that this Burlington is by far the most organized store I've visited. Not just in NV but across the country. I always know I can find good deals but "finding" them is the worst. When I come here there is a plethora of sales associates on the floor and at least ten cashiers on registers. Which brings me to why I'm really writing! RAVEN IVY....is hands the best cashier at this store. The woman is not only quick to empty a family of four full basket but her personality uplifts me every time we interact (four times in the last year). Raven always is ready to chat and still work hard to get the line down. She deserves a raise or many accolades. Raven, you are not going unnoticed with this fam. They have a little bit of everything including clothes, clothing accessories, furniture, artwork, baby items, toys, and more. Great prices and at times, can find some great name brand finds. I used to get my suits here and found great deals on full suits or separates. My only complaint is they often have long lines and the few times I have been here, there is no sense of urgency with the cashiers in moving things along. read more

I always enjoy coming to Burlington's to find a good deal. Even though I don't always buy something, there is always new items to be found. Just have to do some searching for those gems. I and my wife mostly come here for their household items. My wife is in love with anything to do with the beach so she is always shopping around for beach themed items. We have been very lucky to find some great items here at really reasonable prices, even in the clearance area. We have also found some sweet deals on some clothing items and shoes. My wife has the patience to go through all the racks and in doing so, she has found some amazing deals. Like a top that retails for $200+ and it was only $8!! Our complaints about this location is the fact that they are always stocking, which means there are always carts, boxes, and crates of stuff in the walkway. It makes it hard to move around the aisles especially if you have carts. On top if that, the people at the registers are so slow. There can just be 1 or 2 people ahead of us, but we still wait 15+ minutes before we check out. The ladies are older and most of them are talkers and want to make conversation with the customers. This is nice, but not when you're in a rush or there is a line waiting to check out. Overall though, I do like this location as we almost always find something we can use. read more

Been coming to this store for a little while now... i must admit they do have a lot of merchandise and their prices are competitive... we were looking for certain items but they didn't have what we were looking for... Not sure but we some how find the one person that was having a challenging day... today a lost prevention worker just shoved my wagon away from me while i was shopping... i had my wagon next to me while i was browsing he was coming down the aisle right were i was at he past right by me and just shoved my wagon away from me... Really... i said excuse me thar's my wagon... hello... he just kept walking like he didn't even hear me.... he could have walked around there was only a cloths stand... what was that all about? He couldn't walk around? Very rude... The counter girl was even more delightful... she didn't say hi or a hello... she had the attitude of she don't want to be there... just going through the motions... Not a bad location they usually always have deals. But everytime I come to this location they hardly have any jeans in my sizes and never the kind of shirts I'm looking for. Not sure if I caught them on a bad day or I come at the wrong time but they never have much in stock for jeans. This place is no joke- imagine if TJMaxx, Marshalls, and Ross all joined forces into one mega-store. It already exists, and it's Burlington. I didn't realize this was another discount-markdowns store, but I did have an inkling of an idea that they stock more than just coats. Apparently people are crazy about this place- it's fairly common for all of the (several) open checkout lanes to have long lines snaking into the middle of the store. The lines move fairly quick, but there are just always that many people around, it's nuts. Like a thrift store, stock varies but some departments are reliably great: jewelry/accessories (cheap, lots of selection, not my style but good for gifting), shoes and purses (they even have a locked security cabinet with "high end" brands), home goods (especially framed prints and candles). Don't even get me started on clothes, there's a massive amount to look through, you're bound to find something you like, and prices are reasonable. Less impressive departments include athletic equipment/workout gear (it's only like a rack, honestly), cosmetics (many open containers), specialty weird food/gifts section (discoloration and questionable expiration dates), and furniture (exclusively end tables and small shelving units, small section). Other than the ridiculous lines, my only other complaint is lack of organization- some items are found in multiple areas of the store, so to get a true idea of whether they have something, you may have to canvass the entire store- ain't nobody got time for that. read more

Whenever I come here it's like a tornado hit the place. It's a little unorganized. They actually do have cool finds. Better than what I can find at Ross or Kohls. But sometimes it's hard to find the one item you like in your size. There are always long lines, even on weekdays. But they have enough registers open to keep the line moving fairly easy. It's a very sad store,very disorganized,dirty and too many empty shelves.I haven't been there in a while but I needed a certain perfume for my wife.Again no supply at all & a lot of empty spaces and I was disappointed in their sales.The wrost part was the very long lines and only 2 cashiers up front.I did see 3 managers standing around but not offering to help.So after 20 minutes I did ask one manager why they couldn't ring up customers too her response was not my job.So I finally get through the line & as I was leaving the store I set off the alarm.Then all 3 managers show up and hounded me for10 minutes.The cashier forgot to take off one security tag.I found it odd that all the managers show up for that but not wanting to help with the line.It will be a long time if at all that I will be coming back to that store. read more

If you're looking for brand items this is the place. This place is much better than Ross. Bigger selection for sure. If you have time you should take your time and stroll through the aisle. I was surprised to find Nike brands. Their Hours are great as they open till midnight. Perfect for last minute shopping. Gave a 3 only because the lines were long and only 2 registers open. I was maybe the 20th in line and many more behind me. This is a very big store and upon entering I saw some designer bags which I came for and suddenly a lady in back of me yelled and said excuse me as If I wasn't shopping. They don't honor the offers displayed outside the store. Yesterday, I went to buy 2 handbags, there was no signs about exceptions in the area, so they should have honor the signs outside saying that they have up to 50% discount at register, I went to the register to pay and no discount was made, I told to the manager in shift and she said that they will hold the items for me, gave me the store number, the manager name and told me to come back tomorrow morning to speak with the store manager. My husband went to the store to resolve this because I'm at work currently. The store manager proceeded to told him that they can't honor any discounts because that's is not included, he shows her the banner outside the store as I did to the shift manager last night, and then she show her a sign that they have just put in the handbags department. They hire unvetted criminal workers. 3 years ago their employee (Nigerian) kept fumbling and walked away with my debit card, and kept swiping my debit card over & over ...called over his co-worker also another Nigerian ( Scammer) with a hand-held device. Something didn't sit right with me from the very beginning ( he wore Dark sunglasses behind the counter. But I was singled on one thing looking for clothes for my size. I'm a big guy that's looking for 4X. They had a good selection but not what I'm look for. Every time that I passed a employee they said hello and how can I help you. That does give me a smile knowing that whoever is managing the store it's giving me experience what the customer is looking for. I'll definitely be coming to the store again. read more

Yelp 365 Challenge #145/365 (Las Vegas Family Reunion Adventures: Shopping) For some odd reason, Hawaii loves to air commercials of restaurants or stores that are NOT available in Hawaii. This whets the foodies and shoppers appetites on making a list of go-to places when flying to the mainland for vacation or business. Burlington Coat Factory is one of those commercials... At first, I thought Burlington Coat Factory was all about coats until my business trip in Arkansas, bypassed that store and my sister later telling me, "Are you nuts? That's like TJ Maxx and Ross'!" My bad... -_- So, guess which store was on my go-to list in Vegas? You guessed it My niece kept begging for Buffalo Exchange but I told her that MY first stop since I was DRIVING was Burlington Coat Factory. Plus, I had my scheduled route to avoid zigzagging all over Vegas. Anyhow, finding the location was pretty easy. As we drove into the parking lot, there were only a few cars and I thought, "Dang it...is my expectations of this store too high?" When I walked in and browsed through the women's clothing, I noticed that there were some bargains to be found IF you took the time to browse through the variety of brands. Lucky Blouse: Original $60 Burlington Coat Factory $11.99 Michael Kors Blouse: $72 Burlington Coat Factory $13.99 Coconut Wedged Heels: $60 Burlington Coat Factor $12.99 Calvin Klein Jewelry Burlington Coat Factory $7.99 My husband found dress shirts for $19.99 and ties under $10, which normally would cost $40. Each rack was stuffed to the brim but not messy. The store was pretty clean and bright. And as I read the reviews, I'm understanding it went through a recent make-over. The check-out lines were quick and they opened up another counter if they noticed that the lines were getting long. Sales staff friendly and helpful offering a shopping cart especially when they noticed that you're walking around with a bunch of clothes thrown over your arm. We walked out of there with three huge bag of clothes and shoes for under $250 and for me...THAT is a deal. If ever I am in Vegas again, this store will remain on my go-to list. Now, I'm just hoping...HOPING that there will be some consideration to bring down Burlington Coat Factory (or Marshalls) to Hawaii in the near future. What is it with women and purses--well my wife anyway. I finally bit the bullet and said I'd take her to Burlington today--no Coach for her. Burlington usually has something that will fill the bill, but there's a lot of looking and looking and well you get it. Today atypical. Within 20 minutes, she found the perfect purse--for this year anyway. As usual, things in Burlington were messy. Things were all over the place. I guess there are so many people rummaging through that they just don't have nor take the time to replace stock the way a normal outlet would. Then came checkout. It's akin to enhanced interrogation. You wonder if you're in the correct lane. You bob and weave to move to another lane that then stops moving. It's a nightmare. I really would like to give the place more than 2 stars but any visit to Burlington is not OK in my book. read more
