Burlington is a discount store known for their prices and inventory. The quality is a hit or miss and they usually have sales. They have a decent affordable dress section as well as affordable hair care section. I picked up some hair and skin care products and was able to get some dresses here that I love. I'm glad that there's a Burlington near me and it was nice exploring the store. The dressing room allows 6 or 8 items to try at once. The customer service ranged from friendly to decent. Ok, first the praise: i absolutely LOVE that you carry Lattafa fragrance. What a treat to find the viral brand in person. HOWEVER. There's no testers...unless of course u happen to stumble upon one randomly opened by a customer; although unfortunately those never happen to be one that youre interested in. See; the whole purpose of finding something in a retail store that you normally would have to go online to buy (aside from avoiding shipping and handling charges) is the ability to experience it IN PERSON. Especially fragrance. I mean you wanna be able to smell it on your skin prior to purchasing ; is that not normal? Fragrance is one of the most difficult purchases to make blindly. And if youre thinking that getting it at a discount store would be making this blind buy any less of a gamble; well youd be wrong . Burlingtons prices are actually HIGHER than online. Ex: they have Lattafa Yara for 40 bucks before tax. I bought my bottle, authentic with a seal, brand new in box online for 15. They have yara candy at 40 bucks, u can get it online for 11. Eclaire , again, Burlington had it for 40, online its around 20-25. So in most cases, not only is it another blind buy due to ZERO testers, its OVER DOUBLE THE COST OF ONLINE RETAILERS. WTF BURLINGTON?! Sadly i found this to be the case for their other items as well. Shoes. Handbags. Lingerie. Nothing was even remotely competitive. Add to that that the store was incredibly messy and even WORSE--ITS INCREDIBLY UNBEARALY HOT. Like, NO AC in the middle of a texas summer HOT. no shit. Theres no flippin AC. Its a literal sauna. And because they also staff inefficiently, and dont have any self checkout options; the line to check out is UNGODLY LONG. Like u will easily be waiting 30 min to an hour; sweating your boobs off, about to have a heat stroke standing in a line that is 40 customers deep just to check out. This is inhumane. If you fix NOTHING ELSE about this store, fir the love of everything holy; FIX THIS. Your poor employees are forced to endure this for HOURS. EVERY FREAKING DAY. I noticed many cashiers brought their own little handheld fans to attach to their registers. Thats SAD. Its very unwelcoming and miserable for customers; but it is inhumane and downright CRUEL to your staff!!! And dont tell me it costs too much when your prices are at BEST equal to the name brand manufacturers and DOUBLE other retailers online. If you dont care to invest in your store to maintain a comfortable, clean, organized and adequately staffed place of business than DONT OWN ONE. All this to say; i wont be returning unless im looking for something super specific that is sold out online fragrance wise only; but depending on the line to checkout at the time, theres a damn good chance ill be marching right back out --leaving my perfume on the shelf. read more

I don't know if there was a change in management or if they decided to hire people who don't know how to match price to the description, but the price you see on the price tag isn't the actual price. The actual price could be double what you see on the price tag and written somewhere on the item. If you're shopping for shoes, make sure to check the bottom as they decided to write the price on there with a sharpie. Incredibly disappointing. Get a grip. read more

The only reason I am giving a 2 star is because I love the deals. But there is one employee that keeps me away from from this location. Her name is Ada, she is rude and I witnessed her literally put her hands on a young lady who was checking me out. I was FLOORED! I decided to call corporate it was so bad. The young girl was SO professional in front of me, but the older woman was ridiculously rude and unprofessional. I almost called the cops on her when I left the store...it was crazy to me. The young woman had on a hood on her head, looked as if she just got to work maybe and got right on the register, then the older woman came over and jerked the hood off her head and said something I could not understand, but the young girls head jerked back and everything. If I ever go back up there and it happens again I will be standing there calling the cops, that was completely unacceptable, and its how people end up getting hurt at work. It seems I'm rating against the tide of Yelpinions in saying so, but I'm a fan of Burlington Coat Factory. Reason is, I've been finding shirts, shorts, and jeans here at crazy-low prices for years. The quality is not super high, but the value is. If you have ever gone thrifting, you know that you have to be willing to go to the same place and expect to find nothing, then go back again and find gold. The BCF is such a place. I have a pair of white shorts from BCF that I loved and wore out completely. I came back to three locations over the Spring and found none. Today, I found four or five pairs. I'm taking a trip to Mexico and needed some beachy shirts. I found 6 that varied in price from $6.99 to $14.99. I had to pick through every medium shirt in the Men's and Young Men's section. But, it was worth it. I also found a new bathing suit (neon green) for $8.99. Why not? All of it together was $63. Not a bad day! BCF is also my go-to for kitchen items and decor. They don't offer as complete a selection as Pier One or Kohls, but what they do have is priced very low. So, I tend to start my searches for those items here. This location is undergoing renovations at this time. Once they're complete, the store will have an updated, cleaner look. Would shorts from express last longer? Possibly. But for $7-$15 per item, I don't mind buying a little more frequently. If you know your style and enjoy the hunt, I recommend Burlington Coat Factory. read more

I don't know why this store has such low reviews. They are fully stocked, and the lines were wrapped around the store! Shout out to Margarita because she allowed me to return a jacket for full credit that was nearly a year old. And she didn't make me wait in line to determine how much credit I could get back. I used that credit to buy my kid 4 new winter outfits. These clothes are priced so low- better in both price and quantity than wal mart and other big box retailers. The patrons are not practicing social distance - they stand on top of each other, but they are wearing masks. There was also 20x more inventory than last December. Last year this store was empty, but it doesn't look like COVID touched them this year. read more

I work at Burlington and they do not pay us enough. They pay the workers $9 an hour and they expect us to push heavy cars and organize everything we do not get paid enough to do all those things and the store is a total mess and I hate how the managers don't let us work as a team, they want us to do all the work by ourselves and what's awful is we don't have communication and the workers that been working there for almost one year or five months don't get a raise ! This store has a great selection and seems to have less of a crowd. It is October 2020 and the state still requires masks before entering businesses. I guess the person standing at the front door is supposed to be a greeter and make sure that people have on masks when entering though I doubt they can enforce it if someone is not wearing a mask. i went to this location looking for some clothing items. i found several items and went to try them on but the fitting room was closed. i spoke to the manager about this and he said it's their policy to only open fitting rooms on the weekend. i told him this is a ridiculous policy, seeing that burlington is primarily a clothing store. so if you are going there for clothing, either go on a weekend or be prepared to pay for the items, take them home and try them on and then make another trip to the store to get your money back if it doesn't fit. did i mention this is a ridiculous policy!! read more

Usually, Burlington Coat Factory is completely packed, disorganized and really hard to maneuver around in and this location is no exception. Now why do I continue to come here? The prices. The selection. The clearance items oh and the absolute best part? The layaway. We used layaway for Christmas last year and not only did we finish our shopping in three hours for our entire family, we only had to pay 20% up front. We were ecstatic and have sworn to always use Burlington in the future for all of our shopping needs. Not to mention, they have CHEAP designer clothing, CHEAP shoes for women with slightly bigger feet than the average norm (like me) and I don't walk out spending 200$ on a new wardrobe. They also have a huge selection of children's clothing, shoes, toys, and an entire infant furniture/clothing section. Pretty sure that the only thing you can't do at this store is buy food or get some 10/30 motor oil for your car. Absolutely recommend. Just beware, this place can be very difficult, but the search is half the fun! read more

The manager of this store is the rudest person.. I cannot believe how corporate hires people like this. I have 2 unused items (still with tag) but I didn't have the receipt so she said she couldn't help me. In their website it clearly says that if the items are unused and have the tag they can be returned for store credit.. well she yelled at me and said that in order for me to receive the credit she needed to approve it and she was not going to approve it because they were more than 10 dls ... This is my fav place for a " walk in the park" THE BATHROOMS ARE SOOOO NASTY!! The clerks are really nice even though the ones in the dressing room can be really distracted by the clothes that people put back. Items are pretty random and most of the things are picked over by 1 o'clock. So consider yourself lucky if you find anything that you would actually WANT to spend your money on. We used to shop here all the time, they had decently discounted prices, a wide organized selection, and comfortable shopping atmosphere. Actually, we spent hours in this place. Over the years it has gone down. Now it is awful. We never come here because it's not worth it--it's very messy and disorganized, loud, and it stinks. Last time we visited, there we small children screaming and running everywhere, stains on the floors, broken items, and items out of place, and alarms going off. It's a totally different store now. Not coming back to this location, I think they are closing. read more

I bought jeans, a little pull over jacket (that I never wore) and some Calvin Klein shoes. I went to return because I wore the shoes one day and they rubbed blisters on the back of my heels for not even wearing them two hours. I never wore the top or the jeans. I ended up wearing an old outfit to the event I was attending. When I went to return the items they said they couldn't take the shoes, kind of understandable. But they wouldn't take the pull over because there was a make up stain on it, which I'm assuming was there when I bought it because I never put the shirt on. (you could barely see it) I didn't notice it when I bought it. She told me I can't return because she can't hang it out on her rack. I said well obviously you can considering I bought it that way?? She still told me I couldn't return it. Bad customer service. Bad manager there, and bad retail clerk. Her name was Marisha? I didn't get the managers name. I'm not sure why they call it a coat factory, it's more like a mini department store. The store was a mess and the signs don't match with the products location. I thought I was getting some pretty good deals until I got home. One of the $10 tops I bought will have to be sewn before it can be washed or worn. I washed the other tops I got and the material is already balling up, I also had to trim a lot of threads that were hanging long. Really poor quality clothing. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Shopped for 3hrs with kids... Went to checkout, spent another 30min scanning, folding and removing security tags... Slid my CC only to get an error... 10min after unsuccessfully trying, manager said there was a "global outage"... I use to shop here weekly.. Until I had the worst experience by a man (boy) named Chris who was working in the Customer Service Area.. I was in a check out line..Which they only had one open as usual.. So as normal I go over to check out at Customer Service, Which by way was not busy..Chris told me unless I had a return I needed to get back in Check out line.. I did.. not 30 seconds went by and he says "I'll take next in line".. which would have been me..So immediatlely others rushed over there, He looks up at me with the biggest smirk..I stare back wondering why such treatment.
