About a dozen or so employees working in the store and as usual with Burlington, only one person at the register. It took me all 15 minutes to find the jacket for my aunt, but it took me 45 minutes just to check out.. I never have this issue in the Arcadia store so I don't understand why they don't teach some of these other people working the floor, how to work the register. It really is not brain science and this is so frustrating for people to have to stand so long just to purchase their items.. Burlington you really have to do better. If we are spending our money in your store, train your employees. Store was nice and clean nothing thrown on the floor. Debated on the review for two days but I had to do it. I never wanted to shop at Burlington in the first place. I only stopped in to grab a few items for my new dog (who wasn't even with us). Instead, I experienced one of the most unprofessional retail experiences I've had. My 3 year-old daughter had an urgent medical need to use the restroom. We asked an employee for help and were told the restroom was "closed." However, another employee indicated it wasn't actually closed but that customers simply weren't being allowed to use it not one but both restrooms. While I was there, I also witnessed another family with a small child being turned away. No business is above California law. Burlington should ensure its employees are familiar with California's Restroom Access Act (Health & Safety Code 118600-118608), which protects customers with qualifying medical conditions who require immediate restroom access under certain circumstances. My daughter has a qualifying medical condition, and I carry documentation with me because emergencies happen. Rather than showing compassion or attempting to understand the situation, your employees were rude, dismissive, and chose to turn away a toddler in obvious distress. If Burlington believes this incident complied with California law and company policy, then corporate should have no problem reviewing what happened. If it did not, then this location clearly needs additional training. Policies should never come before basic human decency. I understand that retailers may restrict restroom access because of concerns about theft, vandalism, or safety. Those are legitimate business concerns. However, what I don't understand is how those concerns justify refusing to help a toddler experiencing an urgent medical need, especially when employees have the ability to unlock the restroom. Policies exist for a reason, but so do exceptions that require common sense, compassion, and an understanding of California law regarding customers with qualifying medical conditions. There is a difference between protecting your store and refusing to show basic human decency. Based on what I experienced and what I witnessed happening to another family it seemed the policy was being applied without any consideration for the circumstances. So we immediately left and abandoned everything we intended to purchase. Another nearby retailer treated us with kindness, allowed my daughter to use the restroom without hesitation, and earned our business instead. Overall, the condition of this store reflected the same lack of care shown by its employees. Hangers were scattered across the floor, merchandise was disorganized, and the store appeared poorly maintained. I will never return to this Burlington or any Burlington. Whether Burlington cares about losing business is up to them. I hope they care about complying with California law, treating families with dignity, and ensuring their employees understand that a little compassion can prevent a child from suffering an unnecessary and humiliating experience. Parents deserve to know what kind of treatment they may receive at this location. I hope Burlington's corporate office investigates this store, reviews its restroom practices, and ensures its employees are properly trained so another family doesn't have to go through what mine did. If Burlington responds with another generic "thank you for your feedback" message while the same complaints continue to appear rude employees, disorganized stores, long lines, and families being turned away from restroom it tells customers exactly how seriously those concerns are being taken. As a therapist, I understand the importance of listening. But listening without taking action isn't accountability it's simply checking a box. Real accountability means investigating what happened, training employees, and making meaningful changes. I really hope Burlington chooses accountability over another empty response. Acknowledgment without accountability or meaningful change is nothing more than performative customer service. read more

I rarely shop at Burlington, but I stopped by this location for a last minute trip and was honestly shocked by how rude several employees were. Around 10:50 PM, while shopping, I urgently needed to use the restroom. I approached an employee a old, white woman wearing a teal shirt who was literally walking into the restroom herself and I politely asked if I could use it. She told me, "No, our bathrooms are closed," while opening the door for herself. I explained that it was an emergency and genuinely begged because I was in distress. She looked me up and down, giggled, shrugged her shoulders, and said, "I'm sorry, but no." I understand that stores may have policies regarding restroom access, but basic human decency and compassion should still matter. Seeing someone clearly panicked and in need of a restroom and choosing to laugh about it is disappointing and unprofessional. Thankfully, I spoke to the security guard, who immediately recognized the situation and said, "I'll unlock the bathroom for you. What am I supposed to do, let you pee on yourself?" He showed more empathy than that old woman. He was kind, understanding, and deserves recognition for helping me. What made the situation even stranger was that after I entered the restroom, the same employee came in right behind me and used her radio to complain that security had let me in, saying, "Why did security let the girl into the bathroom? Someone tell him to follow the rules." I hope this hideous women finds herself in a situation like this one day so maybe then she can learn compassion. Regardless, my entire experience felt unnecessarily hostile. Learned my lesson and will not be back no wonder why this location has almost 1 star rating lol. read more

Ross and Burlington are to home goods, marshals and Tjmaxx what Walmart is to target... or kind of, because Walmart has really made some good changes and I'd preffer going there than Ross or Burlington. Coming in agian I'm reminded the wait is incredibly long, selection is out of style and their toy section sooooo sparse! The organization is unpredictable and not methodical and the prices are comparable. so I hope I remember next time! Bought baby clothes here to gift. Didn't realize until days later when I was removing the price tags that they put them in areas that shouldn't be. All the baby clothes had a hole in them where the price tag had been put. The original brand tags were fine and no holes there. I bought shoes the day before yesterday. They are too small for my feet. I needed to get a bigger size. They still had the tags and I have the receipt from the email that was given to me from two days ago. The nice lady at the front counter was trying to help me, but the scanner wasn't working for the receipt for some reason. Then Amparo the manager came over. Acted like I was a thief. I use tap on my phone to purchase items. She did not want to check the tab and see if they can pull up that way she looked at the receipt. Didn't try to type in the numbers told the lady that we were not allowed to do the return even though I had my receipt and was not gonna allow me to change my shoes because she says the transaction was not found, even though I had the receipt. Then put down the lady in front of me. And told her she should check the item details. Which she replied that she did because it shows the shoes and the shoes have the tags. Went ON MY LUNCH BREAK to return a pair of wrong size shoes my husband accidentally got. When i went the girl I guess needed verification and she asked another cashier. That cashier straight said no. I said no what. She said.no we cant return these. I asked asked her why. She said they were worn. I told her how are they worn! The tags are still on there. And on top of that they are way bigger size. And i had my receipt!!! And litterally less than 1 week!! Her response as though making the customer feel stupid: why would you get 3 sizes bigger. ? The racks are neatly placed with plenty of walkway with a shopping cart. The shoe department was alittle messy but impressed by the brands carried on the shelves. If I could give zero stars, I would. First of all, the bathrooms are closed. Second of all the fitting rooms are never open third there's always a line of 1000 people and there's only two cashiers (IF YOURE LUCKY) up in the front. One of the managers, who I've heard been called Peter, is HORRIBLE. EXTREMELY RUDE. I've overheard him say "I don't care" when another employee brought a customer issue to him. When asked by customers, if he could add another cashier to the line, he just looks and roll his eyes turns around and walks away. He's always on his phone every time he's in the front, not working not helping. Why is he there if not to help? Every time I have to go to Burlington I pray that he won't be there.
