Although I did pick up a fun darts board, some Pocky sticks, and several flavors of Jagarico potato sticks. I also wanted to get a sleeved knife, but they didn't carry many knife selections except a butcher knife. The search continues... I could spend a good few hours here just looking at neat knick knacks. Most of the items don't have English translation. I would have some hesitation on buying the items if I don't know how to use them. Staff was friendly and helpful. Ambiance was very bright. Prices are reasonable depending on item. Tonight when I stopped in I was asked "How's your daughter?" (My heart was filled). Next, it's always clean and constantly maintained. I've never seen it messy and I go often. Now product: I can see how rotating stock could be annoying, but the basics are ALWAYS there and I'm always a sucker to try something new, and they always have something new and interesting. I've tried so many new things since they came to town. Then the piece we ALL care about: price, say whatever you want but I KNOW I get so much more for my dollar here. For instance I was in Napa and came across a wonderful Lil winery. Went in did a tasting and my friend that lived in Napa ended up joining their club... why do I tell this story? Because Grocery Outlet is selling their wine for WAY less than I paid from the winery! (See photo of Brendel Wine). Or, I love buying little snacks for work to share with my fellow VA hospital employees. I can buy so many fun treats, and I don't break the bank. (See photo assorted snacks I bought today). Again, IF you have your heart set on a specific item, you may be sad. But if you have the attitude of 'let's see what fun we find today' YOU'LL LOVE THIS PLACE. My vegetarian Facebook group had been raving about their great selection of vegan and vegetarian products--and they were right. As someone who enjoys wine, I was pleasantly surprised by their "Wine Wednesday" deals, offering 10% and sometimes even 20% off when buying six bottles. They also carry a solid selection of craft beers, which makes it even better. One thing to keep in mind is to always check expiration dates--this is part of how they keep prices so affordable. The management and checkout staff are consistently friendly, which makes shopping there even more enjoyable. Needless to say, I find myself there almost every Wednesday!

With that said, this little tiny town and nearby Redlands city really needed this. I must say, this DG store is by far one of the better ones I've been to, there's a store closer to me in Calimesa, but that one just doesn't seem as nice. Plus, this one seemed like it had more items and well stocked, for any area that doesn't have it's own 99c Only or Dollar Tree. Everything is a drive to Redlands and Yucaipa. But let me emphasize it's not a dollar store, but has lots of $1 items & brands at discounted prices. So they do carry a lot to accommodate, when you don't feel like going to the market, drug store or for that matter a Walmart (for some home items or auto, which makes sense because your on highway 38, which can get all kinds of weather conditions, also being another route to Big Bear. We only stopped by to see if they had cold medicine (which they did), but ended up spending close to $30 buying necessities for the house, some food items and even dog stuff. Prices were very reasonable and it saves you a trip to the other stores, when you don't need to go to several just to get a few various things. Customer service was friendly and they had nice amount of parking. Another little store to add to our list of pit stops much needed on a weekly basis. Yay :)

How refreshing it is to talk to people who seem to really care about the customer and make me smile. Thanks you guys I was searching for Frozen Chicken Thighs today to make sure they were in stock. I love DoorDash because I can find the lowest price. Well, I called the Grocery Outlet in Rialto (for some reason that is the one that comes up for me even though I live in Fontana) . The first time they put me on hold without answering. The second time a gentleman answered and I started talking "frozen chicken thighs," and he hung up on me. I know I can be boring ‍ my sister tells me that all the time. How do I jazz up my delivery to keep the butcher from hanging up on me? I realized I could change stores, that Fontana has a Grocery Outlet! Yippee! That is when I Karen answered and went to look, then Sam picked up and went to look too. Guess what folks?
