Very Rude Loss Prevention old black lady and the Store Manager White Lady with Blondish white hair is the worst. Sorry, they refused to give me their names when I asked. Very unprofessional and very unethical. A store manager that cares less about customer service and satisfaction will drive this Burlington down to the ground. Store is very dirty and run down. Your kids grabs any toys and they'll take it out of their hands and put it back on the shelf. They even grabbed the soccer ball out of my hands and put it back on the shelf. Store Manager says "don't touch it if you're not going to buy it". Gated Security check point at the front door right as you first enter. There's not enough employees to ring up merchandise and I see people wait 30+ minutes in long lines. This company is losing so much money because of the unprofessionalism and lack of respect for customers. When this store first opened in HarMar Mall I set low expectations and was correct. It's a no frills basics merchant providing some deep discounts. At that time I entered a rewards program and then pretty much forgot about Burlington. Now, setting those same standards, the store is a dreary mess. Boxes of underwear and socks in aisles, rack merchandise out of order by brand and size. One employee (is all they need) at check out. Other employees standing around talking about their break schedule at full voice as I try to tune out hearing their problems. On check out I gave my number for the rewards program and was told it's not there. I'm not going through the entry process again as I left the merchandise on the counter and started to walk out. the organization here is really bad, the stuff on the shelves are all messed up, dirty, or used.. i see people opening things and dipping their fingers in it. the staff is here is rude in my opinion, the cashiers look and sound like they are so over it. while checking out the cashier was slapping our items on the counters and looked annoyed. there is also a really rude police officer.. she screams at everyone for whatever reason. i was sitting on the ground waiting for someone because we couldn't bring things in the fitting room and the girl officer screams "excuse me, hey!" and signals me to stand up. its not like i was sitting on a shelf or merchandise, i was sitting on the ground in a corner so it shouldn't matter..?? she also yelled at my mom when my mom was entering the fitting room because she didn't know they didn't allow bags in. they had good valued things here like clothing and beauty but the police officer and staff ruined my experience. i don't recommend going here. read more

I was wrongly accused of stealing. me and 3 other people came into Burlington to shop for his 2 nephews I had went into the aisle across because I was looking at these shorts I picked up 2 different pairs of shorts and I was showing my boyfriend I had put one of them back and kept the other one then I went over to the aisle with the blankets I was back and forth deciding between the hello kitty on and another so I left it there I went over to get my bf opinion on which one o should get but instead he's telling me put it back we need to leave he did get into it with the worker because we were confused on why we had to leave and as we left one of the workers and security guard laughed as we walked off. I didn't find out the reason on why we had to leave until is mom went up there and they told her I was stealing but if you felt that I only I was stealing why not stop me and check me rather than saying leave and during all of this I never came in contact with the worker she never spoke to me said nothing to me and when she told the other people I was with that we need to leave she said to them "where is the black girl you was with" all she had to say was girl and they would had knew who she was talking about keep that in mind if she's watching me and saying I stole how don't you know where I am in the store? then back to when we're leaving they said my purse beeped and they told us to come back but remember they laughed as we was leaving even after it beeped not only was I singled out from the rest of my group I felt embarrassed because thats not the type of person I am and everything I picked up or looked at in that store was big so my purse would had to go from skinny to fat so i was confused and they was told to watch the tape back. read more

I like Burlington Coat Factory. You can find lots of good stuff at great prices. This location is comparable to other BCF stores. My wife always finds great deals on shoes and beauty products. Be sure to look for the red price tags! They don't always group clearance items together. I like their selection of novelty T-shirts. This store is THE messiest store I have ever seen in my whole life! There was literally stuff EVERYWHERE on the floor, so much that you could barely get down the aisles! It was my first time ever at a Burlington Coat Factory and IF I were to base my experience on this one, I wouldn't ever go back! Trash and clothes and merchandise all over the floor everywhere! I don't expect too much with organization with these types of stores. The wallet aisle was quite messy and sore to the eye. Though, they have a great selection. Their bag/satchel selection is mediocre. Same with their coats, but maybe because it's getting warmer out so they don't have much? I was bummed not to be able to find a coat; why I went in the first place. Overall, it's a hit and miss for what you are looking for. Spend time to look through racks. I love myself some Burlington. This particular location has way more to offer in the home section compared to a few others in the area. I went there today and had to simmer down as my cart was overflowing. I decided it is not time to treat myself and just ended up snagging a few birthday gifts for the baby girl but seriously ---mama will be back soon for herself. It's always interesting to me how different locations can make such a big difference. The Roseville Burlington just pales in comparison to the selection in Maplewood. I couldn't find a single coat I liked in Roseville, so I was skeptical about Maplewood Burlington having anything as well. I finally was able to shop at this relatively newly opened HarMar location. I can not tell you the disappointment and abhorrence in every aspect of this store. The visual space is plain, industrial looking, no aesthetic appeal, or creativity, and it is TRASHED! The floors are covered with hangers, tags, dust, paper, clothing that has fallen off of hangers, and forget the shoe section! The floor was littered with pairs of shoes left on the floor and not returned to the rack. I can not even tell you how this store has brought down HarMar Mall by several notches. Best thing about this company is that most items are very cheap. Bad thing about this particular store is that it is extremely messy. The shoes department (men, women, children) are extremely messy and disgusting. If you are lucky you may find the correct pair of shoes together. Most of the time the shoes are mixed up and you end up searching for the missing pair. Clothing is all mixed up with sizes being in the wrong place and items not having price tags on them. Actually a lot of items are missing the price tags. Also be careful as Burington has this anti-lock thing with their carts. It will stop in its track if you bring it near the mall exit. Bad thing about this is that the women's shoes are located right next to the mall exit. I have seen customers get their cart stuck and end up either going and grabbing a new cart or just abandoning all of their items that they were going to buy and just leave the store. My cart got stuck at the mall exit because I accidentally went too close to the exit while looking for shoes and ended up leaving the store without buying any of the items in the cart. The person I asked to help just told me that there is nothing they can do and told me to go get a new cart. Wow, whoever came up with the idea of putting women's shoes next to the exit where the anti-lock device is located sure made a good choice. I ended up going to a different Burlington to buy the items that I was going to buy from this one. If you come here try to come as early as possible as that is the only time when the store is clean and items are in the correct locations. I would strongly recommend going to the one in Northtown Mall. It is bigger, cleaner, and more organized. read more

To update: I don't know why, but I keep going back to this store and keep spending money there. A lot of money. That is stopping as of today. I was wandering through the section with the leggings and came across a pair that were obviously someone's old leggings that they hung up because they stole the new pair. The old pair was worn out, covered in cat hair, and had holes near the crotch. I thought I'd be a nice person and a kind customer by bringing the leggings up to the front so that no one else would have to happen across them and have to touch them (they were pretty gross). I put them in my basket along with my purchase and brought them to the front. As I was checking out I told the sales associate what had happened and she was so mean. She actually accused me of stealing the leggings and she kept looking at my legs as if by magic she was going to see a new pair of leggings on them with a tag sticking out. I had just spent over $70 and suddenly I was in the market to not only steal a $5 pair of leggings, but to bring it to the attention of a sales associate? She continued to be dismissive and rude to me. It stuck with me all day. I called to tell the manager what happened because I thought it was so inappropriate. Turns out, she was the manager. This store is doomed. I will never spend another cent at any Burlington Coat Factory again and I suggest you don't either. read more

Bought a $60 pair of leather dress shoes from this store. Loved them until after only the second time wearing them (both times on carpet, not even outside), the stitches on the tip of the shoes started opening up. So I went back to return the shoes within two weeks, but the manager accused me of ruining the shoes and wanting to return them now. She argued that the shoes have wear marks on them (which happens after wearing leather shoes just once obviously, where you would bend your feet) and also that the opening of the stitches is my fault. I told her the reason I'm returning these is because the stitches are opening up and I don't want to spend $60 just to wear them twice. She refused to accept the return, and I was left with $60 worth of nothing. Now, I do not care about the money at all, but the fact that she called me a liar in front of everyone almost made me melt into the ground and want to hide. It was embarrassing, and I had nothing to do with it. Seems like the other reviews about the manager are true and she has a reputation of not accepting returns and calling people liars.
