This store is horrible. They treat you like criminal when you walk in the store and you must be let out as well. I had a terrible experience buying a discount jewelry purchase. I was not given the sales price and when I went back to get the difference I was told no by the cashier (Parris) and the manager proceeded to tell me I could have added a sale tag to the box and began to try to demonstrate taking the red tag off, which started to get discolored if you try to take it off so she stopped. I then pointed out the exact boxes marked the same way and walked over and brought one back. I was told I could have tampered with those boxes too!! No kidding, my husband was standing there in complete disbelief along with me. They refused to give me a simple $7 difference. I called and spoke to a different manager who apologized and said she would talk to the staff who did that and I should come in and ask for her and she will issue the refund. However, if you call there they refuse to tell you who the manager on duty is and I had to drive 5 times to the store over 15 miles from my home just to find out the manager I needed was not working. This has been ridiculous. I was a loyal customer but will NEVER go back to that store again. Tons of name brand items such as casual to formal wear, shoes, home decor, accessories, and many more. Well organized compare to other Burlington stores I've visited. You'll definitely find some good deals here; for example, I found two slim fit Lucky jeans that was less than 20$ each. Yes! Slim fit jeans are in and baggy jeans are out! I had been hearing how great this place was for many years, but never ever set foot in one, until I found myself on the hunt for a jacket as a gift for my boss. The selection here is wonderful. Anybody in need of clothes can find something to like here. Need a shirt? They've got it. Need shoes? They've got it. Need a jacket? They've got that too. Plus, they are all available at affordable prices, which makes this a must visit in my book, if I am in the need for clothing in the future. The problem with this place is the lack of organization. too often did I find the perfect jacket in a section that was supposed to contain his size, only to find that it was not. In addition to that, I decided to find shoes for myself here, but found it very difficult to shop around, because the area was chaotic. Piles of empty boxes were on the floor, and it was difficult for me to find my size in the marked area. That said, I'll probably be back because of the selection here, though I'd be wary of coming here during peak hours, since it seems to resembles a trainwreck during those times. read more

Burlington used to be a pretty decent store, but this time around there are very few options. Many of them are very low quality clothes. On top of it they have no restrooms or fitting rooms available. What is the point of shopping in the store for clothes that has no fitting rooms? It is not a COVID thing as they were open in the past during COVid. I know a lot of stores like to use COVID as an excuse for providing a low quality experience, but other clothing stores managed to keep their fitting rooms open and it is a joke that this store provides such a low quality experience. This store at the El Con does five times the volume of TJ Maxx and Marshalls because of the better selection, better pricing, and 6 to 10 registers that have you check out quick and efficiently. Very impressed with Burlington Coat factory, that's why I've shopped in California Oregon and Washington for seasonal purchases that are worth the money and last a long time. This store has terrific deals on baby and household products, and a massive floor for female clothing of all styles shapes and sizes. Well, the place is on the junky side. The merchandise isn't necessarily junky, but the store organization is. The merchandise seems OK quality. Brands names in there. Prices are OK, not outstanding, but OK. I just don't like going in a poorly lit store with everything seemingly thrown together. It's not as bad as a second-hand store, but it gets pretty close to it. I went in to shop for gloves for my son. Guess what? They didn't have any. A coat store. No gloves. OK, whatever. So that was a waste of time. I decided to look at moccasin type house slippers for my daughter. Another bust. Not much selection there. Pluses are that it is a big store. There is plenty to look at and to choose from for most items. (Just not gloves or slippers.) Plenty of parking. Easy access being at El Con Mall and it is facing Broadway. read more

Yes, Burlington Coat Factory has a lot of stuff, everywhere, and it's somewhat inexpensive for a lot of items, but you have to be really careful of what you pick up for a variety of reasons. First of all, the obvious is that many of the items on their racks are the products that have defects. I picked up a leather jacket that had slits in the leather, a white shirt that had purple dye on it, and many items that were stitched wrong (some in places that don't matter, some that change the item entirely). Many of the items aren't true-to-size, either, so you have to be mindful of that issue as well. If you're careful, you can get decent, brand name items at a decent price, but you have to be paying a lot of attention! And they have an "ok" return policy, so try stuff on and look it all over again once you get home to make sure it's all good. Another reason to be careful is that many of the shoppers here seem to be lunatics. Items are thrown all over the place. It's like no one puts anything back on the rack once they reject it. It goes on the floor or draped over the rack. Things are out of place and all over. Items that might not have had too bad of a defect are now being trampled on by a dozen+ people. It's like mayhem in there at times. The place is a mess. Yet another thing to be mindful of in Burlington Coat Factory is the store organization. Part of that is because of what I already mentioned -- people throw stuff all over once they reject it. But the other part is the store's issue. It's just not organized very well. It doesn't seem like they care at all, either. Also, why is their COAT selection so lacking? It's a coat store! I haven't been to a Burlington in years (and that one was in NJ), but they had tons of coats then. I get it, it's Tucson AZ, but if your name has a specific item in it, sell that item! The store was also stifling with a lack of air circulation, and it wasn't a hot day out, either. Maybe it's the amount of people, or the sheer size of the store (very large). But it was an unpleasant shopping experience. And the prices are just decent. Not particularly fabulous (some items are a better deal than others), but definitely better than regular pricing at normal stores. But at a normal store you don't get defects and a chaotic shopping experience. Meh. read more

The shoe selection is enormous for the size of the store. If you need a good quality suit, and don't want to spend majorly, then this is the spot. I called ahead of time to ask if they had a windbreaker jacket for a man 3xl. There were 3 and yes, he would put one behind customer service desk. I went to pick it up and asked someone that worked there behind customer service for the jacket, which I was given and then turned to get behind a register but didn't see the line that was behind all of the registers because it was behind an aisle. That was totally confusing since I hadn't been in there before. I also had to stand behind a few people that had tons of things in their cart and there was no express line. It was really stupid to have to wait like that for one item. I will only be returning 1 time today to return the unlined too small(fit like 2x) jacket I got for my b/f. What a joke, I hope the customer service for returns doesn't take too long. I am a diehard Wal-mart shopper but they don't have these jackets in season yet. This is a discount store and it looks like one, BUT if you like name brands (Nine West, Calvin Klein, Jessica Simpson, etc - I shop in the women's dept), they've got them at good prices. I don't go as often as I'd like to because I'd spend too much money in there. I like purses a lot and have bought quite a few. Got a really cool London Fog one just recently for 1/3 of what it would have been in a department store. The check-out lines can be long depending on when you go, but the checkers try to keep it going. Often, it's the people checking out who are the problem. I found my first shopping experience at Burlington to be quite pleasant! As a guy seeking clothes I have hit or miss at most places. But I came away here with three dress shirts for work that I really like, a pair of work pants, and four pairs of snazzy black dress socks, and a Levi's wallet for $75 total. Nothing was over 14.99 that I bought and they are the kinds of clothes I really like to buy and wear. The place reminds me of Ross, except better prices and the clothes aren't all on the floor or totally out of order. Staff was friendly. I had no problems. It was a nice experience. They seem to have a lot of clothing for "plus" size people too, with a big and tall area. The women's department has some great deals from what I can tell too. It shows you the original price and then what they are charging. I don't know if those prices are accurate, but I felt like I came away dressed for work at a nice price for brand new clothes. ***Horrible customer service, rude staff and a hot mess. *** As someone who normally goes to Burlington throughout the United States. I have to say I was extremely disappointed with the lack of Customer Service training the staff at this location so obviously lacks. I was treated extremely rudely by the associates at the front register, who appeared to be management as well as the other staff . The register placement does not even begin to make logical sense and I was told very sharply by a member of management that the line started behind an associate that was obviously shopping during her work shift. There were no visible line markings or signage. The employees that were present up front consisted of three other cashiers gossiping at open registers instead of helping customers. I waited for five minutes and left. The customer is supposed to be treated with respect, promptly greeted this place lacks all of the above in customer service. In my honest opinion it is best to spend your money elsewhere. Go on Amazon, Walmart Heck even the dollar store will treat you better. Never again will I go to this location. Love this place! Had never been and waltzed in thinking it was merely a coat factory.. I was so thrilled to find a Ross stand-in...well...right across from Ross! Great selection of purses in a variety of colors, and racks and racks of cute juniors clothing. Moderate pricing, too, for every budget. Huge store, they have nearly everything but strangely enough, not-so-cute shoes. Weird, right? Still worth a stop in, even if you do pass on the vomit-green Puma knock-offs. read more

The name of this store is as off putting as a steakhouse named, say, The Meat Warehouse, but for hair-raisingly cheap casual and gym clothes, this store has game. The one on I-10 is mammoth, stinky, and ill-kept (i.e., clothes haphazardly stacked, thrown, and hanging askew), but the new store here at El Con is neat and well-organized. All of the stores at this ill-fated, ghost town of a mall provide an almost overbearing security presence, but BCF's at least seem in a good mood. I have to confess that I shop in the junior section here because "adult" clothes seem to be fitted for the Jolly Green Giant en famille, but I spent $30 on black linen shorts with a belt, a bikini, a workout shirt, and two tank tops. BCF also vanity sizes even in juniors. I have not shrunk but require smaller and smaller sizes as manufacturers struggle to stay ahead of the obesity curve. BCF is H & M south and even less expensive. read more

Never use this layaway @ Burlington coat factory they suck! I put something on layaway here in Tucson AZ and forgot about it. I called them and asked when was the layaway do, the little giggly girl on the other line stated:"did you get a call?" someone should have called you, but we put it back. She stated they charged me 5 dollars for the layaway and 10 dollars for the cancellation fee, I did not have a problem with that, what I did have a problem with, is they want to give me a gift card instead of my cash. I hung up the phone and realized what she said. I called back and talked to the supervisor, Monique, at the store at ElCon. She asked me, if I could read, because it was on the receipt. She also stated that it is store policy to give a gift card for layaway, if you don't want a gift card, do not use their layaway.
