Has to be the worst shopping experience of my life, dealing with a legend managers. First lady was extremely rude and belittling when spoking with her. Then incomes her manager who is extremely rude as well and also condescending. Even though we showed her the credit card purchase, she refused to take the return told me I needed some barcode that was on the wrapping. I visited the Nordstrom Rack on Oracle to exchange a Christmas gift. From the outset, the cashier, Roz, appeared displeased, as we didn't have a receipt. Her stern demeanor made the experience uncomfortable, and I felt disrespected throughout the transaction. When we requested to speak with a supervisor, Brianna, she defended Roz rather than addressing our concerns. At one point, Roz even accused me of being dishonest. Frustrated, we decided to leave and stated, "we actually won't be needing your help." As we exited, someone sarcastically shouted, "have a nice day." This experience was disappointing, as it did not reflect the customer service standards I expect from Nordstrom. read more

The employees here are among the rudest and most abrasive I've come across and not just to me- I've witnessed a woman ripping a cologne out of someone's hand for spritzing it on their wrist and then demanding to know if they were buying it 'otherwise now it has to go in the back!' Most disturbingly a few of the dark haired middle ish aged women loudly talk about people in the store in embarrassing and accusatory ways- saying how '..expletive need to get a job ' with the presumption someone is shoplifting - and I say presumption bc I'd assume they would have gotten anyone actually doing anything in this case. Which s ridiculous because I saw one woman in particular arrive literally 5 minutes prior. This is a review as to Nordstrom online orders, not the Rack, although they are the same company, as far as I know 1.888.282.6060, this is their customer service number. Anyway, to put it mildly, they suck. After ordering a shirt on the 9th of December, it didn't ship till the 11th, on that day they sent me an email telling me it was delivered?? I called the number above on that day, the girl that answered the phone was also confused, but then found out it was a recycled shipping number, whatever that means, first time I've heard this. I asked if she could please speak to a supervisor, since there was all this confusion, she did, then they assured me this would update in a few days, but it did not. I called today, same issue with the same story about a recycled tracking number, but it has yet to update?? On top of all this, it will probably take another week to get the shirt. Let me just say, calling them is an adventure, you Waite 20 minutes, horrible music that breaks up constantly, my advice is, do not order online at Nordstrom, you will thank me for the advice. read more

Not the usual where there is a designer section, the Madewell section, Free People section etc. that is packed with good quality stuff. While she was making multiple attempts to solve the issue, she repeatedly thanked me for waiting, which I was happy and grateful to do. The other store in town had also attempted to make this return but hit a wall with the system. They advised me to come back another day or perhaps call the 800 number on my own. I truly appreciate their help and am not disappointed with that store's customer service, only Cassandra at this particular store voluntarily called the 800 on my behalf and resolved it on the spot. I love Nordstrom Rack but this one is not one of my favorites. Here's why... MERCHANDISE: I probably visit about twice a month and there is not a lot of new merchandise. I see items on the clearance racks that have been there forever. Shoes never seem to turnover. It's the same sandals all summer and the same boots all winter. Very disappointing. They really don't have much in the way of trendy clothes. I have found the quality at NR has deteriorated over the years too. DRESSING ROOMS: They now have men escorting women to the women's dressing rooms. I feel uncomfortable with this. "Just let me know if you need a different size." Yea, right, I'm supposed to open the door to let you hand me a different size - NOT! STAFF: Be mindful of the staff they hire here. I've walked out a few times with the security tag on the garment! I live 70 miles from this "Rack" and was pretty upset when I got home. They are trained to hype up the customer with "How is your day going?, Do you have a Nordstrom Debit Card?, We are having a 'clear the rack' event this weekend." All the while, they forget to take the stupid security tag off!! ARRGGHH - Just ring me up and stop with all the hype. I'm so over it! NORDSTROM DEBIT CARD: I know this will give you points, but I don't like the way it takes 3-4 business days before it hit's your account. They claim it's my bank's fault which could be. But any other place I use my Debit card, the charge hits within minutes. read more

I could spend hours in this place! The staff is friendly while not being overly pushy. What makes the shopping experience fun for me is that the brands are always rotating and you never see the same items twice. There are high end denim brands, Nike workout apparel, dress clothes, home goods, etc. I always stop here first when trying to find a gift for my dad; they have a great selection of ties, pocket squares and dress shirts. An Italian silk tie for 20 dollars? Yes please! The clearance rack has some excellent deals, but as to be expected, it's picked over and some sizes are not available (womp womp). read more

Even with the discounted Nordstrom prices, I find myself sticking to the sales racks when it comes to the clothes. The shoes seem to be more reasonably priced overall. I also like coming here for their stock of CK bras and underwear. Pros: Quality merchandise, name brands, wide range of sizes in shoes, and clearance sections. Cons: Prices can still be high (once saw a pair of sunglasses that were cheaper online), racks can be a bit disorganized, and weekends aren't the best time to go. read more

Since I cant really go through the entire store for you (so you can do that yourself in person), I am just make a simple comparison...definitely more selection than off5th (which has very limit merchandise) but that just in Tucson. If you put this place next to the one in MI (Neiman Marcus Last call or Off 5th) this will be like a XS in size vs M. But somehow I did found a pair converse that I had never seen before $16.99...score!! I also look at the suite and sports jacket section it was kind of...meh But all you shopping "w_ore" out there knows you just have to check back places like this...about every 2 weeks in order to get something good and unique. Their sign says face coverings on their door and I got booted for wearing a bandana. The store lady was very rude. And she kept following me around. If my mouth and nose are covered, what's it to her. I was just getting ready to checkout ($200 worth of merchandise) and I was told I had to leave the store because it was not an acceptable mask. I said okay. I don't need their stuff. I don't mind paying more for it somewhere else that treat me right. So they had to touch everything I touched and put it away!‍ So I went down the street to Alan's shoe store and bought the same shoes. I paid more but I was treated right. Growing up at HATED going to the "Rack" But for some reason this one here in Tucson has changed my mind. I am in LOVE with the shoe department. there are so many boots and heels to choose from and all in a size 6. Sadly I still can't find clothes that appeal to me here, but I will always look. The staff is very friendly and and it comes to time to check out it done in an orderly fashion no one running or cutting in line to take your place. Well, I've been a Nordstrom credit card holder since '85, and customer longer! Today at the Rack in Tucson really shitty customer service! Bought a pair of Kenneth Cole flip flops and wore just in my drive. They almost fell off my feet as I walked. I of course tried them on in store with socks. Got the lecture from Ms 'automatic no service Manager' that I needed to try them on before buying, duhhhh!! Also stated no return or even a damn store credit. Said, "well I'm not shopping at Nordstrom anymore," she didn't care! We're talking a $19.99 purchase! Honey, I was shopping at Nordy's before you were born! Both my friend and I are dressed in Nordstrom clothes, double duhhh! I like what Nordstrom rack is however this one is still struggling to get its inventory built up. Nordstrom rack in other cities I have been to just seem to have more to buy and better up keep. Sadly as is the case with most Tucson retailers the onslaught of weekend citizens come through and decimate the store only to leave the staff cleaning up the mess. Come on a weekday and it's not bad the shoe selection is hit or miss and the mens department seems to be slim on selection. That being said the selection of ties, cuff links, shirts, and accessories is great and when I have found a pair of shoes they were reasonably priced and in good condition. The staff ranges from helpful to condescending and the location is great as some of the best shopping in Tucson seems to be concentrated in the Tucson mall area. read more

Way back in the day, I would go to the Rack in San Diego, it was the source of much my wardrobe. Today I go by the rack and everything is marked up more than I really want to spend, yet I go back. I have only bought shoes, undershirts, and couple of watches since its been open. The other day I got a pair of Sperry deck shoes for 10 bucks, this the exception not the rule. I am gald it is here and the staff is nice and somewhat helpful ( that is is a good thing I hate someone following me around asking questions). When I first walked in it had a bargain store feel to it. This was dangerous considering the prices although less than a real Nordstrom are still higher then I normally shop at. The shoe selection was amazing and I found exactly what I was looking for and could not find anywhere else in town. It was harder to find a specific outfit then a regular department store and yet the $40+ price tag on everything made it difficult to buy more than just one thing. It will probably not be a regular shopping location for me (too expensive) but if I am looking for a specific brand/style I will check here. read more

I was excited that a Nordstrom Rack was coming to Tucson, AZ since we do not have a Nordstrom. I spent a few hours in the store. A noticed this Nordstrom Rack had a lot of brands that I have never seen at a Nordstrom store. They did have some brand name shoes, but none of the pumps seemed to fit my arch just right. The prices were high respective to the quality of the clothing they were selling. The MAJORITY of the clothing was directly purchased from wholesales and was never carried in a Nordstrom store. The employee said about 80% of the merchandise was direct buy and about 20% comes from Nordstrom stores. This was highly disappointing. They did say that their buyers were taking input from the customers and they expect to make changes in the future. I know they are targeting the Tucson demographics, but they are undercutting themselves. Higher prices are okay for high quality clothing. They did not carry any women's suits. The women's underwear available were of cheap quality (but good prices) A lot of the brands were the same as the TJMaxx brands. However, I think the prices for the same clothing are better at TJMaxx. The store did feel somewhat like a TJMaxx. (I know it is a "Rack" store). The clothing selection gets a C-. The shoe selection gets a B+. I will go here again to try and find shoes. I love brand name pumps. However, I will have to try a lot on, because I have a very high, flexible arch with a narrow foot. I did not have success this time, but I did WISH that many of their shoes fit because I liked the shoes that they offered. They also had a relatively large shoe selection. The sales staff get an "A." They were all very attentive, polite and helpful. They seemed to have the Nordstrom quality of attitude in their staff. I also liked that when I went to try on clothing, they did not tell me I could only take in "X" number of items. When I am trying on a lot of clothes, I like to be as efficient as possible and not "trade out" clothes. I'm not a criminal and I don't like being treated as one. (Add all of the security that you would like -- cameras, security tags, etc -- just don't ruin my shopping experience). In other words, kudos to the Nordstrom Rack staff for their professionalism in dressing room etiquette. I would really like this store to improve. I would like to see: --More Nordstrom items/brands --Higher quality brands --Elimination of cheap quality products --More space in the clothing areas; the racks were close together and a little difficult to navigate --High quality women's suits --Keep up the good brand selection in shoes --Eliminate the current bath/beauty products offered; these products are available at most discount stores. If you carry any bath/beauty products they should only be the ones carried in Nordstrom stores. --I didn't look very closely through the costume jewelry, but I liked the idea of inexpensive costume jewelry. --Bring a real Nordstrom to Tucson --Eliminate all of the TJMaxx overlap. If I want TJMaxx quality or brands, I will go to TJMaxx. I might visit again just to see if they have made any changes. However, I would prefer to visit Scottsdale if I want a better shopping experience with higher quality clothing. read more

One of my consistent stops for when I feel like shopping around - the Rack has it all! From accessories to home goods to shoes and apparel - there's a little bit of something for everyone and it's a PERFECT place to find a gift. This location, in my experience, tends to be more organized than the one out on Broadway, and I usually find the selections more to my taste here. The staff are friendly, but not overly helpful/in your face - which I honestly appreciate in this format. I don't need help sifting through a clearance rack, but I do appreciate feeling welcomed. This location has done some adoption events with local pet rescue agencies, which I also really appreciate. Much of my wardrobe is "sponsored" by the Rack, and I am happy to frequently recommend this store to anyone who asks about a certain clothing item. Pro Tip: Total Wine is just across the parking lot, so you could really assemble a killer gift in just one quick stop! read more

Retail therapy has a new venue in Nordstrom's Rack which almost makes Tucson an audible radar blip on the style spectrum. The clothes here are racked by price, not designer, so thrift takes precedent over brand. The selection doesn't knock one's socks off; Michael Kors doesn't produce shivers, and large sizes seem over-represented. The shoe selection isn't too much more impressive than DSW and a great deal more expensive. The selection of styles represents the over-40 Stein Mart/Chico's demographic more than the Guess/Bebe crowd. The dressing rooms are clean and run by an efficient little herd of blue tooth-wearing Nordstrom's employees. Jean choices range from Diesel to Miss Me, but no Rock and Republic. Nike, Adidas, and other athletic labels do not seem to be marked down at all. Glad it's here, but the Rack is like the Cleveland of fashion instead of the Mecca. read more

I LOVE this place. As soon as I walked in a saw a whole selection of discounted Clarisonics- hello skin gamechanger. But this place is the bomb for shoe shopping! Hands down this in my favorite place to buy baby/toddler shoes. I can get way carried away with their selection of Nike's, Toms, and Dr. Martens for tots. They even carry design plus size clothing. Handbags are also nice here. Last time I was in they had Shinola watches which are made in Detroit. I am hot for one of these- big time. They didn't have the chrono I was eyeing but offered to put me on a VIP list and will call when they come in. You can also pick up my fav men's cologne here- BLV black. Alright, so I was excited about the store opening in Tucson and could not wait to see the deals they had on brand name items. After going in there once I have not found myself back at The Rack. I am a huge bargin shopper and found nothing but high priced products I could just buy online or at Nordstrom if I really wanted to. Shoe department was very disorganized and messy. Also, I was never greeted or asked if I needed assistance. Didn't feel to welcomed at ghe store. The only worthy deal I found would have to be on the fossil watches. I bought two watches for $50 and for fossil that is the price of one. I don't see myself going to The Rack often, but maybe when I am on a mission for a nice fossil watch. Maybe. read more

This place is a hit or miss.. sometimes I will find some great deals.. and walk out with bags of stuff.. and somedays I walk out empty handed.
