This place is OK…read more As usual, I don't enjoy that OTF promotes a very bizarre sort of mentality in its members. Most (like me) only arrive on the dot at class time and leave the studio immediately at class end time. It is no secret that I have had insane difficulty with making a single acquaintance at any OTF studio location. My review history supports this too. However, I'll rate up bc the location is convenient enough, parking is free and generous, and I get along w/ most of the coaches. Which is at least the bare minimum that one can ask for. The one thing I dislike about this or any other OTF studio is the insane high prices (for the unlimited tier I pay 180$ monthly) and also even despite paying monthly costs, it is impossible to meet anyone or make even an acquaintance to start. Life is brutal and OTF even more so. As said, to be fair I think this location is OK, and the coaches are friendly enough, most of the time. I will likely revisit but I don't hold any high hopes on forging social connections or meeting any worthwhile folks here.

Walked up through what the company was, what to expect and checked in with us at the end of the class to explain the results chart. We felt fully engaged the whole time during the course. It was awesome that the course lasts 60 minutes and it's easy to work into busy schedules. The calories you burn are based upon what you put into the class, though I burned almost 600 calories for my first class. The only part my gf and I didn't like was waiting after the class to see the prices. The prices are pretty steep, $169/mth to go unlimited. The heart monitors are pretty steep as well $69 for the waist and $109 for the arm band. Apparently the prices vary based on promotions that are running. I went to work to ask my coworkers if any of them tried OT and someone from greenbrier OT said their club rate is $159 and he get's additional for first responder discount. So I started calling around to other clubs, since you are able to visit any of them without extra payments (except for city locations). Overall we had a great time checking out the gym. I like the OT concept and the group of customers they had were super supportive during our class. I am still shopping around for promotions and heart monitors to see if this could be a feasible replacement for my current workout plan.

Philadelphia Sports Club, Lifetime Fitness, Golds, Xsport... I've seen a lot of personal trainers. I have never seen any personal trainers do the stuff Ron makes you do. There's a reason I keep going to Ron - because he helps you achieve your goals and you will see results. He knows what he is doing!! He really cares about his clients even outside of the hour that he sees you a week. He'll follow up and make sure you're held accountable for the other 6 days of the week. He has a holistic approach in which he understands the importance of weight training with a well balanced diet and really helped me understand how to eat right for my body. His training sessions are never dull. He is is constantly thinking outside the box and coming up with new drills. My body strength improved, I lost fat and toned up. Happy girl :) Since training with Ron I've gone on to become a certified yoga instructor and thank him for his knowledge and advice in training and eating right. Aside from his amazing credentials and experience- he has a great personality. I don't ever recall him not smiling. Oh and if you haven't taken a kickboxing class with him then you are missing out! His classes are usually packed and you leave drenched in sweat. My type of workout.

NOTE: I wrote this review in 2013 and for some reason stuck in draft all these years. Fitness…read moreAspects is a one-on-one fitness studio. The studio is clean, with the right amount of fitness equipment, good vibes and background music. I really like the fact that I am not entertainment for the people on the cardio equipment, like in a gym atmostphere. Also there are not guys staring you while you are working out. I have not repeated the same exercise twice. It is a full body workout with an emphasis in core training that is fun and challenging. John stretches you before and after the workout and provides Myofascial release with a foam roller. Now I can say, I now feel energized after my workouts. I have had 5 other personal trainers in my past and, I have to say, never have I received results so quickly. I am not talking about the beefy, bulky muscles, but lean, long, sexy fit bod, which are my desired results. I have been training with Fitness Aspects for 7 weeks, twice a week and the rates are very reasonable. I decided to seek John's help due to an accumulation of various pains and wanted my 20 something year old butt back. I rarely feel my pain anymore and I am able to enjoy running with an increase vigor. John is so likeable and motivating, I really feel he cares about his clients. I so look forward to my workouts. I have recommended Fitness Aspects to closest of friends because I know they will be taken care of and get results. If you are looking to make a change in your life, please give John a call. Notes regarding previous reviewer concerns: John has a Purell dispenser by the front door now. His bathroom has a chair in it and it is large enough to comfortably change your clothes in.

At that point, I had persistent sciatica pain which, while not disabling, really impacted my day. As a psychotherapist, I sit all day for my job. I had started running at 48 and loved the way it made me feel--strong and "lighter"--but got a compression injury and had back surgery--which didn't help. Working with John has literally transformed my life. He is an expert trainer who is an expert in exercise physiology and nutrition. I realize now that I probably did not need surgery --the key to relieving my back pain was strengthening my core. I am now largely pain free and feel so much better. It's hard to sum up John's level of expertise in a brief post--he understands physiology, nutrition, and the body in a way no PT or orthopedic doctor seemed to. His classes are group classes but each exercise is tailored to each person's level of conditioning, strength, and injury profile. It is like having an individual trainer with the fun of a small group workout. I have learned how working out with incorrect form can cause injury. My body is strong, I have no back pain, and my overall health is improved. My goal has been overall health rather than "weight loss" --I am in my 50's and my focus is on reducing my stress, enjoying my life, and feeling healthy. I URGE YOU TO GIVE JOHN A TRY!!!

Great facility and faculty…read more Be careful with the terms and conditions when your contract is ending. I was finishing a two-year contract with them and was moving away so decided not to renew. I called to confirm that was the case with one of their employees. Apparently that information was incorrect as I was charged after my contract ended. I called to clarify/rectify the situation and was told that I needed to send a "30 Days Notice of Cancellation" email to actually end the payments, so the confirmation phone call was incorrect and I was still charged. Seems like they really needed that extra month's fee. That being said, the gym is great, just make sure you are careful and send your email to confirm cancellation (sent to customercare@abcfitness.com).

The facility is exceptionally clean, spacious, and has an incredible variety of equipment, making it easy to change up your workouts and keep things interesting. The wide selection of classes included in the monthly membership is another huge plus. As a retiree who loves to travel, one of my favorite benefits is the ability to freeze my membership when I'm away for extended periods. That flexibility is a real bonus and makes the membership a much better value for us. The trainers are knowledgeable, encouraging, and genuinely invested in helping members reach their goals. Tina deserves a special shout-out--she takes great pleasure in helping you improve, challenging you in the right ways, and celebrating your progress along the way. TFE has a great atmosphere, excellent amenities, and a team that truly cares about its members. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a clean, welcoming gym with plenty of options to stay motivated and make progress!
