We recently tried out one of the kids' night out events at this gym for the first time, and it was a fantastic experience! The deal is great--$35 for members and $50 for non-members--for a 4-hour session (5-9 PM). This location offers so much for kids to enjoy, including an indoor ninja warrior gym and a multi-level play gym with thick netting and slides to climb and explore. They even have electronics for watching shows, which is perfect for kids who might prefer a more introverted vibe. I happened to be in the area the other day and tried out this location. WOW, so much better than the One Loudoun location that I wish I lived closer. It's bright, spacious, and clean. Seems like way less broken equipment and newer equipment where you can actually read the labels on weights and such. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The staff were very friendly and helpful too, and the locker rooms are a bit nicer.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] None of the broken shower doors and such like One Loudoun. My only complaints with this location would be that the sauna seemed like it was barely on, and they could use a tad more equipment. I would say the gym is good. I'm on a monthly membership, and the price is average compared to other gyms in the area. It feels like the gym might be a bit small, especially during peak hours when every machine/bench/station is busy. It does have pretty much everything you need though. Very deceptive business practices. One has to ask how to become a member without being enrolled in 3 personal training sessions. Telling me that I would receive 3 FREE personal training sessions when in fact I was billed $55 / session + an additional $192. FIRST OF ALL THIS GYM IS NOT WORTH 80 DOLLARS A MONTH....many better options. I've been going to this gym for about four years, slowly I've seen the gym get worse and worse. Many machines are broken and take weeks to fix, and the gym gets way to crowded in the afternoon can barely get my workout done. The WORST part is they're sneaky I signed a one year membership with them and was never told it auto renews. I talked to one of the managers about canceling my membership in April, but he said I had one month left on my membership and to ride it out. So that's what I did because my 1 year membership ended in may. Little did I know I've been getting charged for the past two months because my contract AUTO RENEWS. I was never told this when getting my membership. Read your contract with them thoroughly. read more

I truly enjoy being a member at this gym! The hours are perfect. The entire staff is friendly and helpful from the moment you walk through the doors. I've been to a couple of classes and they really challenged me and help me to push to the next level. They have a daycare which I think is awesome. They also have activity nights for children which enable the parents to have a date night. There is a plethora of equipment on two different floors. The bathrooms and locker rooms are always kept nice and clean. I've noticed that the staff continuously cleans the equipment throughout the gym. I've been a member at this gym for many years. I joined shortly after it opened because it is closer to my home than any other gym. I go to the gym every day and know most of the morning regulars. Bodybuilding/hypertrophy is my main focus, but I do some form of cardio nearly every day too. I've been going to gyms very consistently for alot of years across the US. I'm very frustrated with this gy First the positive: There is alot of square footage. Its clean. The staff are nice. Locker rooms don't stink. The equipment that they have is mostly good. There are only a few pieces that I think aren't worth using. The layout works pretty well. They don't have any overly restrictive rules. Now what drives me nuts: - If something breaks, it takes FOREVER for it to be fixed. They have 4 stepmills, one has been out of service for months. A simple cable issue can take many weeks to get fixed. Its crazy. And things break alot. Right now they have the stepmill, the only Freemotion cable system (extremely heavily used...because there aren't enough pulleys), dip machine, and the only water bottle filler on the top floor are all broken. The only leg extension has a pad thats completly ripped open right where your right leg should go. It should have been replaced 4 weeks ago. I've been using a towel that I bring from home to pad my leg for the past few weeks. - They haven't added any new machines since they opened many years ago. - They don't have enough lifting equipment for a gym that size. They only have one of most of the pieces of equipment that are the most heavily used so there is alot of waiting for machines unless the place is empty. One Smith Machine, one Leg Extension (except for a unilateral one), one seated straight bench press, etc. I feel they should also have a bigger diversity of machines. Some additional Hammer back machines and a darned seated leg curl please! They have TONS of room where they could add equipment. Its especially frustrating when you've paid them so much money over the years...and continue to pay. - The bathroom hardware is horrible. The toilets get stuck blasting water wide open way too often. When they do, it takes forever to get fixed. I can't imagine how much water they've wasted. One of the water bottle fillers was stuck open for several days recently. High volume water pouring down the drain...for days. I'm talking like at least 4 days. Thats happened multiple times. I can't imagine how many thousands of gallons they've wasted. The sinks in the locker room are terrible too, but for a different reason. They are motion activated for the water and they have built in blowers...built into the faucets. You try to wet your hands and get blasted with air. No paper towels at all. The worst part for me is the fact that they need more pieces/machines, they haven't added any (ever), the ones they have break frequently, and when something breaks it takes forever to get them fixed. PLEASE GET MORE GEAR. Those of us who have been paying dues every month for many years deserve it. read more

I would like to highlight Katie, Bella, and Savannah that work in the Kids Gym. I confidently drop off my two babies every single day - 2 years old and 9 months old - knowing that they will be fully taken care of. I have full confidence, in all three of those girls, that they will make my kiddos smile, laugh, and feel safe & loved. They always know what to do to keep them active and busy - like blowing bubbles, coloring / drawing, doing puzzles, and playing basketball with them. I love picking them up because I know that they will be exhausted, right in time for a good nap. Katie, Bella, and Savannah are: 1. Super professional and friendly. 2. This gym has so much potential. Marcus was great when we were members. The down stairs is a mess, people don't put away their weights and the front desk are just on their phone. I've done the fitness class regularly and floors were not cleaned regularly, dirt and hair was built up. I am new to the area, and was checking out the local gyms. I am a mother of 3 children 6, 3, and 18 months. I took them to the kids gym and I met the most caring and nice young women running the kids gym. I believe her name was Brionna. I had to come on yelp and just rave about how much fun my children had. As soon as I picked them up, they were elated and filled with stories about the numerous activities and games Brionna orchestrated. I've been going to this gym for 3 years and I really enjoy it the only thing I would say is to please have a working sauna. Every time I go there's a closed sign. I really enjoy the sauna before and after a workout and would be really nice to use it again. Got a note from the VP of the situation regarding the sauna and I completely understand why it's currently down. Nonetheless, I enjoy my classes and the workout overall! read more

Jason contacted me with my concerns. He seemed genuinely interested making sure I was happy with the experience at the TFE. He updated me on the policy about gym bags. A draw string bag is now allowed in the floor while working out. The missing equipment issue has been looked at and they feel there is enough accessories to accommodate. I don't believe there are enough cable handles for all stations. Now that I can continue to bring my bag with accessories, I will overlook that one. TFE is a great place to train and get better. I recommend Obaid Amin as personal trainer and coach. I am a student athlete playing Basketball at Lightridge High School and I have been fortunate to do some training with Obaid and he has helped me gain strength, speed, endurance, and has helped me increase my vertical for my sport which I am greatly appreciative for. Huge facility with nice equipment. It is really clean and has great prices. Amenities are awesome and I love that they have a sauna and that rock climbing is free with membership. The gym is nice, but with one caveat. Every morning they have Fox Broadcasting on two of the TVs in the area where I like to workout. I think espn, hgtv, or any non partisan tv show would be better. I don't want to watch Russian propaganda every morning on the Fox fake news network They do have nice modern new equipment, and most of the equipment works. I think they have only one squat rack, which I think doubles as the deadlift area. I wish they had at least one more squat rack, but no one is really using the squat rack in the morning. I don't know how much use it gets at night. I've been going to the gym mostly in the morning around 6am and sometimes after work around 7pm, and I don't think the gym gets too crowded which is real nice. Weekends don't seem too busy either. This place is more fancy than the average gym, and caters too that crowd. It doesn't have as much free weights as 24 hr fitness or golds gym. There's a lot of cardio equipment though and free WiFi. Overall it's a nice place, but they need to change the Fox News Russian TV network. One last thing, I wish that people would stop dropping weights on the floor. Do those guys think that's cool? It's usually the type of guy wearing a sleeveless shirt and likes Fox News. read more
