I was dreading having to find a new, good, fair and honest mechanic, as my long time go-to mechanic…read moreexpanded his business and relocated to Niagara Falls, BUT recommended I now give my business to Johnny, and he spoke very highly of him. My van's entire driver side front strut assembly (shock and spring) collapsed and rendered my van undrivable. I've never seen or heard this happening to any other vehicle before and could tell it would be an expensive repair (see photo), and even considered simply writing off my (older) van and getting a used replacement. And, needless to say at this point anyone would be concerned about towing their car to any one mechanic, as I'd be at their mercy, and wouldn't be able to shop around and look for/negotiate a fair repair price. Well, Johnny was straight up with me right from the start, gave me a few options (such as looking for a used assembly at a wreckers), but his estimate for a new strut assembly plus labor was surprisingly reasonable, fair, less than I expected, and not much price difference than (hopefully finding) a used assembly from a wreckers. So I just decided to get it replaced with the new part, and be done with it instead of worrying about the quality/functionality of getting a used (2002) part from a wrecking yard, let alone the time and effort trying to find one. Johnny had everything done within 3 hours at the very reasonable price he quoted me, with no extra "surprise costs" many mechanics "unexpectedly" find above their initial estimate. When I picked up my van, Johnny showed me the old part (was worse than I expected) and had me up and running in no time. So now this repair shop will be getting all of my business, and all of my referrals as well. It's really hard to find honest, good, fair and knowledgeable mechanics these days - especially without having the luxury to shop around, and Johnny came through with flying colors! Altogether wanted to charge me 1300 I said no he said i had to pay 100 dollars for not even fifteen minutes they did nothing i went elsewhere and they found nothing wrong with the car. Awesome, awesome service!…read more I just moved to Burlington and needed a mechanic asap. I called around 3pm, left a message, and received a call back within 5 minutes. Wayne sensed the urgency of my situation, (my brakes were shot,) and told me to bring my truck first thing in the morning. The next morning, they took my truck and told me it would be approx 2 hours. I was planning to wait there but they offered to drive me to the Tim Hortons up the street to wait! Awesome! About an hour later, Wayne calls saying he took a look in the back and that those brakes were done too... (I wasn't surprised,) he gave me an estimate and said it would be a bit longer because of the added work but that he had 2 guys on the job for me... I told him to go ahead with the back breaks. Two and a half hours later, he comes to pick me up, with new brakes at a totally fair price. I was even able to get to my early afternoon appointment! Seriously...the service, accommodation, and price was fantastic. I found my new mechanic. Highly recommend!!

The receptionist was very polite to my husband on the phone and told him he could come by any time to receive a quote. Later that day we brought the car in. Ryan Stevens, the Body Shop Manager took a look and provided us with three options: 1) They would heat it up and try to pop it out. This would be free 2) #1 but then try to fix it up if necessary - no quote was provided for that as it would be difficult to know what was needed until they tried Option 1, or 3) Replace the bumper - a printed estimate was provided for us to take home (~ $1,000). Ryan didn't think this would be needed. He said that we could call the next day to let us know what we decided, but recommended we try Option 1 and go from there. We called the next morning as soon as they opened and were told we could come in immediately and that it would take about 30 minutes-an hour. 45 minutes after we arrived we were leaving there with a bumper that looked perfect. Overall, the experience was very pleasant. The place has a small family business feel versus a sleazy let's make a buck feel. We appreciated not having to pay for any labour since it still did take a bit of time to provide us with a quote and pop back the bumper. Thank you so much Miltowne Collision.
