It's a nice place to visit but it doesn't come with any sides hehe woulda loved some chips, the burrito tasted so fresh with tons of sauce. The place was pretty busy so it took its time. The place was nice and very spacious. Loved the decor and all the trees surrounding it. It was a party of 12 and everything was around $200*
This place is an absolute gem! The restaurant sits on a really nice lot with a beautiful outdoor seating area under the trees, and the inside is just as nicely decorated. The whole place has a very chill, laid-back vibe that makes you want to hang out for hours. The service was excellent. Our servers were incredibly nice and brought out a variety of salsas right away--THE CHIPOTLE ONE WAS THE BEST! Shortly after, our drinks arrived, followed quickly by the food. We ordered the pineapple (piña) smoothies, the chuleta & piña burrito, and the pastor burritos, and everything was outstanding! The flavor combinations were incredible. On top of everything tasting amazing, all of their food is made fresh and cooked only in fresh oils (no seed oils!), which is a massive plus. They also have great vegan and vegetarian options. Highly recommend!
So delicious! Burritos tasted fresh and seasoned so well. The Guac was amazing and I loved my mojito cocktail. Perfect way for us to kickoff our trip to Tulum! Service was quick and accommodating. We were a larger group but were seated immediately.
Burrito Amor is a household name in Tulum. Organic, coconut tortillas, only EVOO, a menu of bowls and smoothies, there is something for everyone here. I have tried everything on the menu and it is all so good. I usually get the vegan burrito no beans no rice, or one of the detox bowls. Amazing food and amazing vibe.
This place was a great lil vibe. The shrimp burrito was insanely good. They gave us three sauces for our burritos and all three were so good. The steak burrito was good as well, not as good as the shrimp but still solid. Would go back.
I when planning my trip to Tulum, I was told Burrito Amor was a must. And I can't now see why. I was promptly greeted upon arriving and I was able to pick my own seating. After perusing the menu I settled on the chicken breast grilled gourmet burrito with their gluten free coconut tortilla. I did not order a drink. The burrito was so delicious and my goodness the tortilla was amazing. I struggled to finish the burrito but I had to because it was so good. I wish I could have tried other things on the menu but I was full. I loved the overall aesthetics of the restauran, decorative yet relaxed. I like the open air feel. I would definitely recommend if you are in the area 10/10
I loved this place as it's one of the freshest burrito I ever had! It really opened my eyes as a tourist to Mexico that burritos can be so fresh and healthy versus slabs of cheese and sour cream like what we do in the states. Seems like also a lot of locals come here as well. The inside of the restaurant was so cute and I loved that it was tucked away and very beach hut vibes. The service here was quite slow and they don't understand English as well so you might need to try your best at Spanish obviously. It seems like burritos are made on the spot of order so if you're really hungry just look at the menu in advance and order when you sit down because they take a while to get to you. We got the Al pastor pork burrito and the rib eye of beef burrito along with some cocktails : flute of flowers and coconut cool. We enjoyed the burritos very much and it was wrapped in a leaf which is really neat it held the moisture in the burrito without it being very sticky. I loved the rib eye of beef and the beef was so tender it just made me want more! It seems small portioned but it's actually super filling which I loved ! The cocktails were very tasty and definitely recommend flute of flowers if you love hibiscus and coconut cool was better pina colada than the resort I stayed in so it's a big win win for me!
This has got to me one of my favorite eating spots in Tulum! The food was just perfect, can't wait to go again! It was that good! So fresh and perfectly balanced in flavors! My husband ordered the steak burrito and I ordered the grilled chicken burrito bowl - both were excellent!! The great thing about the food was not just that it was fresh and delicious, it was good enough to fill us and not making us feel too full! The ambiance was cute and romantic loved the setup and decor! The service was great as well Definitely going back to try more food! Would highly recommend anyone visiting Tulum to have the food here
Every Tulum trip I make it a POINT to come here. This trip did not disappoint. Favs were the ribeye burrito and the smoked pork and pineapple burrito. I tried the copaiba latte and loved it. Our only pass would be the avocado toast, but it's called burrito amor.. get the burritos
We had a very nice dining experience at Burrito Amor. When we arrived, the power was out and they stated that they could only accept cash at the time which was fine. The inside was really lovely with lots of candles, and a very well painted enclosure that was right near the bar. We ordered one of their healthy juices for a detox and my sister ordered a margarita. They both tasted very flavorful while we waited for our burritos. She ordered the vegetarian which I thought was more flavorful than the Al Pastor, which I ordered. The host was very nice seating us as well as the waitress. I personally feel like the burritos could have been packed a little larger, but I am certainly used to more American-size burritos so that may have something to do with it. Either way, I recommend this spot the next time you're visiting Tulum!
Beautiful spot located in an unsuspecting area with many servers that speak English and accept credit cards. Service was attentive and quick and the coconut cool was delicious! As for my meal, the hot brown rice either sautéed vegetables was lackluster, no flavor, and extremely greasy, I barely touched it. It tasted as though everything was cooked in grease. The rest of my party seemed to enjoy their burritos or salads so I'd say that's a safer bet.
My favorite! Came out very warm and quick. The tortilla around the burrito was moist yet crunchy. I love the look of the banana leaf around it. Horchata had cinnamon in it, not on it and was actually our favorite we had our whole trip. 2 drinks and 2 burritos was $25 USD about. Not bad! There's in door and outdoor seating and although was cheap, was very clean and had great aesthetics
The burritos: immaculate. Can't wait to push that out later, cuz baby, it's kicking and about to crown. The service: fantastic. The only thing keeping it from perfection is the NYC price.
Best burrito I've had. I ordered the al pastor burrito. It was so crispy, hot, flavorful. The perfect balance of pineapple and crispy pork. When I return to Tulum, I will absolutely go here. I was very disappointed in the guacamole. It was basically mashed avocado without any seasonings or cilantro. I would've expected better in Mexico. However, due to the quality of the burrito, I'll still come back! read more

Located on the main road through tulum, I'd normally be afraid it's just a tourist trap (you pass by a ton of shops selling hats, sandals, woven bags and dreamcatchers on the way there - don't get me wrong, items are beautiful but I kept wondering to myself if it's the tulum version of those trinket shops outside Times Square). Luckily, I think the reputation for this place from folks who have visited Tulum precedes it so thankfully we weren't choosing blindly and had sought this spot out. It didn't disappoint and was a great and casual way to kick off our trip in Tulum. We got a round of margaritas, which were delicious and served promptly, followed by a round of El pastor burritos (among the best I've had- comes wrapped in banana leaves). Not massive but certainly filling, especially if you get a round of guac to share. Came out to 1600 pesos (or about $85 for a group of girls for tasty drinks and food- so about $14 a person). Pretty good value, especially coming from NYC. read more
I was super excited to check out this spot. It did not disappoint. The burrito was hot and on point. The atmosphere was just beautiful and I love the fact that we got to see outside and see local people pass by and listen to a man play guitar. I ordered the ribeye of beef burrito without cheese. I've never a burrito this good. The only thing is, it our server a while to put in our order. Out food came out quick which I was good. I'll definitely stop by again when I returned to Tulum. read more
Hands down one of the best meals I've had in Tulum! I was in desperate need of anything not catered to tourists. I was tired of aioli this and aioli that... I just wanted real Mexican food and burrito amor really delivered! My burrito was perfect. Super flavorful and hit the spot like no other. My boyfriend devoured his eggs and said it was the best eggs he's had the whole trip. Highly recommended! read more

After arriving in Tulum late in the afternoon on a Saturday, Burrito Amor stood out to us immediately as we drove to our lodge. Located closer to the end of the town strip, it's open for lunch and dinner and has an immediately inviting feel. The restaurant is open to the fresh air with lots of bar seating facing out and many old wooden spools converted into tabletops. Beautiful lighting and a well designed logo draw in a variety of patrons. Set up like a typical western restaurant, once you choose a seat a waiter will come to your table and take your order. Unfortunately, after being opened for a month now, Burrito Amor is still waiting on their liquor license, however they do have four fresh juices to choose from: an unsweetened lemonade with chaya which I choose, tart and refreshing after a long day. The menu is diverse in the categories of salads and burritos, but if you're not in the mood for those you should look elsewhere. I had the smoked pork burrito as well as tried the shrimp burrito and a coconut chicken salad. While I really enjoyed the burritos, the grilled shrimp was my favorite but the salad actually stood out by far above everything else. A mixture of cabbage, chicken and a spicy coconut flavored dressing, delicious! They had one dessert available, a dense macaroon tasting treat. Expect to pay 120 pesos per entree and add a couple dollars per add-ons. We had kids with us and they were able to accommodate us by creating a personalized burrito for each which was very convenient. They also have to go meals if you're looking to take something home. Great service and overall an enjoyable experience. They'll be having a grand opening party when they get their liquor license, so be on the lookout on their Facebook page. read more

If you're looking for an inexpensive and healthier alternative burrito spot, Burrito Amor is the place to be. After visiting the Laguna de Kaan Luum that isn't too far away, my friends and I made a visit here for lunch after a nice scenic swim. I ordered the ribeye on a coconut tortilla. My friends had also ordered the shrimp, smoked pork and pineapple, and chicken burrito on regular tortillas. We decided to swap with one another to try out all the different types of gourmet burritos offered here. We really enjoyed the smoked pork and ribeye burritos. The shrimp burrito was a bit too cheesy for me, and I felt like it didn't complement the fresh lettuce in it either. Probably would've taste better if there was some kind of slaw and maybe a type of creamy hot sauce or creamy lime sauce instead it would've been better. They also offer healthy drinks and bowls. Service was quick. Staff was friendly. There is outdoor and indoor seating available. Overall experience was lovely! read more
We loved this burrito spot in the Tulum city. It's quite a drive from the hotel zone but it was nice since we were away on that side of town visiting the Gran Cenote. We ordered the shrimp burrito which was okay and the vegan burrito which was amazing!!! We loved all the healthy choices for the smoothies too. Health to the max! I loved it. The outside patio was so cute too. The service was extremely slow though. read more

Stumbled upon this place while looking for our hotel. It looked familiar because it was featured on a Tulum travel blog so I thought it would be worth checking out. It was our first meal in tulum after traveling 3 hours so my boyfriend and I were pretty hungry. Overall ambiance of the place was very nice. We came around 3 and the place had a good amount of patrons. Ambiance (5/5) You notice this place right off the street from its boutiqueish/hut vibe. Very cozy and hipsteresque. Definitely a place you would wanna check out. Food (3/5) I'm just not a huge fan of burritos so I may be a bit biased. I ordered the pork & pineapple and my boyfriend had the ribeye. We shared the cactus salad. The food was not bad but it just didn't fit our palette. Just nothing special for me. However the ingredients definitely tasted fresh which I appreciated. Try the spicy white salsa. That was a nice twist. The prices were also decent. I would advise staying away from the alcohol. I got the coconut cocktail and it just tasted like juice. But the menu did say "healthy cocktails" so that might be why. Service (4/5) Not bad but they weren't super friendly? Just seemed like they expected a lot of tourists to come so they didn't really tell us anything about the menu and just handed it to us and walked away. The lady was nice and answered our questions but didn't really smile or anything. Overall I wouldn't go back but I don't regret checking the place out. It had a good selection of food but unfortunately it just didn't fit our palette (too healthy perhaps ha) If you like burritos and a healthy twist to it, check it out. If not, maybe just drop by for their juices and breakfast options. read more

I ate here three times in one week because it is so delicious and a beautiful airy atmosphere whether traveling solo or with others. The burritos and bowls are to die for and i would douse them in their three special sauces. The drinks, elixirs, and juices were very fresh. The servers were very kind. I sat both inside and outside and liked both areas. Gluten free options available include coconut tortillas. read more

By far the best food I had in Tulum! I got a smoked pork and pineapple burrito and it was the highlight of my trip. Me and and my boyfriend got a regular size burrito and we could barely finish it. Very clean and our waitress was so nice. It's on the Main Street of Tulum so it had a great view and live music! For my drink, I forgot the name but it had the hibiscus flower in it . Very fruitful. For 2 waters, 2 drinks, 2 burritos , and a guacamole I spend under $40 usd! read more

BURRITO AMOR in Tulum, Mexico impressed me with their burrito menu. There was even an option of handmade gluten-free coconut tortillas! I highly recommend this place. I could have eaten there everyday! I was staying at an Airbnb so it was supposed to be a quick walk into town. Haha. . . not. I was cursing google maps all the way. Just remember Burrito Amor is on the south end of town (only one main street). I ordered takeout. Para llevar is "to go" in Spanish! Considering every table was packed and there was a huge line waiting to be seated, I forgave the 45 minute wait for my order. They offer egg burritos with nopales (cactus), chuleta (smoked pork), machaca (air dried beef). They offered grilled vegan burritos, al pastor eye fillet of beef, smoked pork with pineapple, and my favorite, rib eye grilled with purple onions, pico de gallo, while black beans, and avocado. They have an amazing smoothie selection as well! So, if you're in the that line waiting to get in, then order a smoothie or freshly squeezed juice. Wish they had a Burrito Amor in the states. If you are a foodie in Tulum, you must check out Burrito Amor. Your tummy will thank you! read more

To my knowledge, burritos aren't native to Mexico. They're a California invention. But don't tell that to Burrito Amor, as they sling some of the finest versions you'll find in North America. A sprawling, wide open restaurant that's usually always packed to the brim and featuring burritos with a nice variety of ingredients. From vegan options to pork and beef, you can't go wrong. After trying two, I have to say my favorite was their shrimp burrito. Don't skip the sauces, as it really makes the meal. Pair with a local Tulum pale ale for the full experience. read more

Great place, very friendly staff, good location, short menu and that's were the greatness comes, if you like burritos you have to try them, if you don't like burritos-like myself- give them a chance and you might change your mind just like me, I had the rib eye burrito with cheese and it was really good, everyone in my table of 5 like their food equally. I definitely recommend this place! read more
