Went here twice while visiting tulum. The vegan burrito is fresh and delicious. Their craft beer was also my favorite in tulum. they offer cocktails and fresh juice and smoothies. their guacamole was SO good. Probably the best burrito I've ever had! I had the chicken and my boyfriend had the pork and we both loved our choices. Our group loved it so much that we wanted to come back again before we left the trip. They wrap the burritos in banana leaves which is a cute touch. They have fresh house made macaroons which were delicious and tasted fresh but slightly stale. Their smoothies were definitely fresh- but not much flavor, probably because they don't add sugar to them! :) definitely recommend if you're in the area! read more

We really like the food & very affordable. But last night the service was not very good, they got our order wrong, tried to blame it on us, (I think she couldn't hear over the music since we were right by a speaker) forgot to bring part of our order, people who got there food a half hour or so after us, got their food way before us. We noticed many tables took about 45 minutes to an hour to get their food as well. It's not normally this bad of service. We stayed in a posada close to here, and ate twice. They do a booming business among tourists - almost no locals. The sauces were amazing, but the burritos themselves were lackluster for me and my family. They were fine, but even though close to our hotel we only went twice for lunch (we were here 12 days) because we just couldn't get excited about them. We had chicken and pork, maybe the shrimp or breakfast were better. The service was decent and prices were reasonable. It was fine, but I don't understand the 5 star reviews. read more

Burrito Amor was very hit or miss for me, but I think going into it as a more informed consumer, I'd like it better if I went back. The green juice was very green tasting, and not in a good way. The egg and machaca (dried beef) burrito was awful, really dense, dry, and bland. The big winner was the vegan burrito, which was very flavorful and moist. The hot sauces were all just OK. The taco places were closed- so we ended up here. Seemed pretty clean and the menu was in English, and it was a cool looking spot- fair enough. Ordered the al pastor smoked pork burritos. They were... Ok at best. Not a ton of flavor, and the sauces in the table were very non-traditional. Listen- this place was ok, especially for the non-adventurous type. Service was slow, as in slow enough for me to mention it, and I thought prices were a little high for Mexico, but still one "$" according to yelp's guide, but man the food was fabulous!!! OMG. I am craving one of these burritos right now. Look, our driver from the airport said this place was good, and to me, on the outside it seemed like a super hipster touristy spot so we really didn't try it until the end of our stay. BOY! We went back for a second round of burritos and took it to the airport. Rib eye burrito ALL DAY. The fresh tortillas are made from coconut flour and the rib eye is juicy. And something I thought was notable was the burritos are wrapped in banana leaves for sustainability! Way to use their surroundings! Also-- the cinnamon roll smoothie, mmm! I'm a little bummed we didn't get to try a few more of breakfast items, but there's always next time. read more

Good food, but do NOT pay with a credit card here. On 4/29 we had lunch here and used a cc for payment. Later that day I discovered that the credit card I used for payment was not returned to me and I had someone else's card. I went back to the restaurant and the staff was helpful and understanding about the cc mix up but they didn't have my credit card. The next day I discovered that someone used my credit card for $549 in fraudulent cards and 3 months after the fact I'm still battling with my credit card company over the disputed charges. Bottom line, while traveling in Mexico do NOT let your cc out of your sight during payment, and do NOT use a cc for payment at Burrito Amor. read more
