I actually never got to eat here but i did sit here for 45 minutes waiting for a gentrified burrito. Turned out they lost our check when we were pretty much the only people in the restaurant. Seriously, like maybe one other person was in there. After they realized their mess up they told us to wait a little bit longer. We're talking about a burrito where most of the ingredients are pre made, anyway the kicker is when four doucheish looking frat boys sat down and ordered immediately got their drinks and appetizers. A very popular tourist spot right on the main road in Tulum downtown. My sister and I rode our bikes here for an early morning breakfast before hitting a cenote tour. We were pleasantly surprised when we were seated right away, however the service was pretty subpar. The burrito (I got the vegetarian) was tasty but too small. Pretty good burritos that can be eaten for breakfast, lunch or dinner. I had the Eggs & Pico de Gallo. What really sets this burrito place apart is the tray of 4 sauces they bring out. Try the white one, which is deliciously spicy, or the chipotle flavored sauce. We also got fresh juices with our order. The pineapple juice was great but the orange juice didn't really taste like it came straight from an orange. Service was a little slow for how few people there were at 8am. read more

Amazing restaurant in Tulum! The guacamole is amazing we also loved the chilaquiles. Classic Margarita and watermelon are a must when in Mexico and Burrito Amor makes a fantastic margarita. For dinner we ordered a variety of burritos: Shrimp, vegetarian, steak and beef all AMAZING!! Shrimp by far was the crowd favorite. We also tried the gf coconut wrap which added taste. The best burrito I've had in my life, bar none. I had the Grande Eye Fillet Burrito and my girlfriend had the Chicken Breast Burrito, both outstanding! Not one to traditionally write reviews, however this place is a must in Tulum, especially for a quick / casual lunch. There's no liquor license, noting it's very new (opened in Jan), however the non-alcoholic beverages (think Horchata) are delicious. Went the first time and had the vegan burrito on the gluten free coconut wrap and it was divine. My husband had a steak burrito and thought the same. We thought it was so good we stopped in the next afternoon for lunch and grabbed some amazing smoothies and split a fish burrito which was still great but not at good as the flavors we had before. The food is very simple to make so Im not sure what takes so long (i.e., eggs and pico). They also forgot my friends order which made us wait another half hour at least to make one burrito. When the burrito hits your mouth its a amor! This burrito is worth the wait and once you taste it you know why its always packed! I had the vegetarian burrito which was so flavorful and fulling. My dining partner enjoyed the chicken breast burrito. The burrito comes with all kinds of sauces and it is delivered in the adorable package of local palm leaves. We got the coconut tortilla which is worth the extra 30 pesos, its thicker than the normal wheat tortilla. We want to eat every meal here. They make their burritos so you could imagine having one everyday and not growing tired of it. We hope to achieve "the usual?" status after our time here in Tulum. read more

Best food I've had in the town of Tulum! I got the vegan burrito with nopal and spinach, and I cherished every bite. The produce is high quality, and it's definitely on-par with gourmet cuisine that I'm used to in Seattle. They have four sauces on the table, two of them are vegan. One is olive oil infused with shredded coconut, and the other is chili serrano, lemon, cilantro and tomatillo. So good!! I have been waiting for this meal since getting to Mexico! This place is amazing. We got the vegan burritos grande size almost every day we were in Tulum. They're greasy, but in the best way possible. The "restaurant", I suppose, is wide open and they have lots of "kitchen island" seats, if that makes sense, which I love. The staff are super friendly and speak enough English to understand us well. Their hot sauce is OUT OF THIS WORLD. It is so fresh. In fact, all of their food is. We also loved their cocktails--the cucumber tequila drink is AMAZING. You have to try it. We also loved the tapioca pudding--out of this world. Best tapioca pudding I've ever had in my life. I will be coming back to Tulum for years to come almost solely because of this place. One of our favorite lunch spots in Tulum. Burritos were amazing and fresh and very inexpensive. Also tried the fresh squeezed juices- they were okay, somewhat strange flavor combos. The real reason to go is for the yummy burritos! We went back several times because they were so good. We tried the eye fillet of beef, al pastor pork, smoked pork and pineapple, chicken, and shrimp. My personal favorite was the shrimp! They also have amazing sauces that come with the burritos- try the coconut oil one- so tasty!! One of the best burritos I've ever had.Our waiter was also super friendly, and very attentive, explaining the menu and the 4 salsas that came with the burritos. Despite being a walk-up on the main strip in Tulum, we really liked the ambiance and decor of the place. I ordered the fish burrito which came filled with some red pepper, rice, and a sauce. The fish tasted super fresh and perfectly cooked, and the burrito was soo warm and filling, and the rosa sauce tasted amazing with it.My boyfriend got the rib eye burrito and it was equally amazing, filled with perfectly seasoned vegetables. We loved the free popcorn before the meal, and ordered a coconut macaroon for dessert that we quickly devoured. My boyfriend also really appreciated the day-long coffee service and said it tasted very fresh. Overall, I think the price for our meal was about 300 pesos. Don't believe the hype! Me and my girlfriend came here because of the good reviews. However, I must say the burritos are nothing special. On paper they sound intriguing, but they lack flavor. The burritos are also very small. We even paid extra to make it "grande" and it was still smaller than your average "regular" burrito. The real breaking point came when we were about to leave, a server(not our server), questioned whether we had been charged for my girlfriend's second glass of wine. We told her we had, but she didn't believe us. She went and checked our bill, and indeed we had paid for the two glasses. Rather than apologizing, she then asked if my girlfriend only had two glasses of wine. We said yes, but she didn't believe us. AGAIN. She then asked our server if we only had two glasses, and he confirmed that we did indeed. Are you Serious?!! Not only was this completely unprofessional, it was beyond RUDE.
