I can't say I would have picked them over a couple loco burritos from Rivas, but they were priced decently and it was within walking distance from where I was in southtown. Both my burritos came with about 5 tortilla chips, which seemed like not enough but maybe that's normal? Tried chicken Fajita burrito...salty, and everything chopped to bits so that ingredients are somewhat unrecognizable. Tasted like is was grilled on a greasy grill...Really not a fresh taste at all. These guys have good food, but they can be rude. Also, they like to close early, even if your inside the building. They leave the door open, and the open sign on. Bad business to let people in, mill around, hymn and haw, and then say "we're closed." read more

Well, I really wanted to love this place. And the reviews on Yelp led me to believe that I would...but, alas, it just did not measure up to expectations. My enchiladas were lukewarm, dry and decidedly mediocre. I went in expecting that typically delicious wonderful red enchilada sauce that one receives in 99% of Mexican restaurants in the northwest. But no dice. It was edible, and filling but that's about it. My spouse was so thrilled to see tofu as one of the options four ingredients to include in a burrito, but she was less excited once they arrived and she took her first few bites. Did the tofu have to be that unfavorable and that unseasoned? By the time she finished half of it she remarked that she was just eating to feel full and get the protein. Our kids were let down too...they're used to absolutely delicious Tex-Mex cuisine and this just did not measure up. No offense to the owners of this establishment. They seemed nice enough but next time we're in Corvallis we're going to try another one of the many highly-touted Mexican restaurants in that town. read more

this place recently opened in southtown and has great burritos. the burrito heaven version is a seafood special with fish and shrimp. delicious and huge, my wife and i usually split an extra-large. the owner's son, manuel, usually mans the register and we love talking to him; the deadpan delivery of his patron banter is endearing, charming and funny. read more

Burrito Heaven is either an incredibly optimistic view of their food or an incredibly pessimistic view of heaven. I won't go so far as to say it's Burrito Hell but Burrito Purgatory is probably appropriate. Uhg.. Where to start. A young girl with a 50s hairdo had no personality or smile or even courtesy laugh for attempts at humor took our order at the counter. I asked if they had whole pinto beans she said yes we have black beans. I asked again if they have whole pinto beans and she said no we only have black beans. So now I have to ask if they have refried pinto beans. Yes. They had no drinks but bottles so if you drink a lot of fluid this place will be spendy UNLESS you drink their room temperature pitcher of water. I asked if we get chips and salsa with our meals she replied as if she were a bad actor reading from a script, no, chips and salsa are two dollars. I fork out the extra two bucks and they give us a little popcorn tray of chips and a standard size salsa. I swear it was almost as if she were counting the chips as she put them in the little paper trough. Fine...I could deal with all this... Let's see the sacred burritos. What a letdown! We get a burrito and about 6 more chips each. No sauce... No beans... No cheese... And certainly no angel delivering this supposed godlike burrito. It was ok and I ate most of it. It was bland looking.. I think I paid 13 bucks for this burrito. I'd be seriously disappointed if I actually believed in heaven. Pretty decent burrito for the price. Ordered a fajita burrito xl and was well stuffed even before finishing half of it. Red sauce has quite the kick to it. I have eaten here roughly 6 times, in the last year, if that speaks for the food. As authentic as it gets, in Corvallis. What stands out to me, are the fresh, homemade corn tortillas! I always order a combo plate, with the tamale, enchilada, and shrimp taco. My meal is accompanied by beans, rice, fresh lime wedges, and green sauce that leaves my mouth warm, and happy! I crave these tortillas in my sleep! The burritos are huge, and beloved by my family. The restaurant itself could use a facelift, but because we take out, it has not bothered us thus far. For corvallis, their fish and shrimp tacos are VERY affordable. They are also just as good as any i've ever tasted. The limes they use are more firm and fresh. It might be too good to be true but I think I'm in Burrito Heaven!!! At least that's the name of the restaurant that I'm reviewing. Located in south town in Corvallis, OR just off 3rd St. From the outside it is a very unassuming place, what some might describe as a "hole in the wall". Inside the decor is not much better, with unfinished concrete floors the decor could be improved. The menu is fairly simple with the regular items you would see at a Mexican restaurant. I ordered the carne asada burrito, medium sized. It comes with a few chips on the side. The burrito was excellent, it had a great taste and was very large. I thought the food was good but the price could be improved. This burrito was $5.75, which isn't bad but if it was under $5 that would make this a great deal. This is our new favorite place to get Mexican food. It's so fresh, and good! We highly recommend the Carne Asada burrito, the Fajita Burrito, and the Chimichanga. We have eaten here multiple times, if your doing an order to go it's usually pretty fast, however if you are wanting to walk in and go, then call a head for pick up. Their staff is super nice, friendly, and knowledgable. This place is as authentic as you'll get--it's a "hole in the wall" serving the best burrito I've ever eaten--their Burrito Heaven. The medium is huge--chocked full of crab, shrimp and quality white fish in a zingy sauce. It ain't cheap--running a bit over ten bucks, but definitely worth it.
