Bathrooms are acceptable. Ambiance if what you think a Mexican place would be. Service sucked the day we went. Food was tasty the day we went. Seafood burrito was good. Amazing take out dinner tonight! Street corn app was so good! I had the taco salad and I can honestly say I have never had better! The others raved about their burritos. The steak in the Chicago burrito was tasty and tender. While the green sauce, order extra for the fajita burrito, had the perfect amount of kick. finally writing a review after coming here several times. food is meh... ok for Mexican in NEPA. but... *****BUYER BEWARE**** They falsely advertise. menu prices are anywhere from $1-$4 less than what they charge!!! last year we had dinner here and ordered guacamole. price on the menu was very reasonable but when we got the check, it was so grossly inflated, I was literally shocked. the waitress apologized and cited inflation. now, I have some empathy for that because last year it was happening everywhere. so, fast forward... we've been there a good decent amount of times since. hubby pays bill, I never even see it but, not tonight. I ordered chicken tacos for $8.99 and we got the bill and they charge us $11.99 for my tacos. I bring it to their attention and I'm told that they have no control over the computer. i tell them that it's not fair they falsely advertise low prices and then gauge people at the cash register And mention they should throw away every paper menu and reprint the correct pricing. They tell me those me is were just printed. Bill is never corrected to the menu price and now I'm just pissed and will not be going back. Their salsa flat out sucks. Burris tacos are good and hubs loves them. Chicken tacos and steak tacos are ok. The lines are never ripe. This has happened the last 3x I've been there. And for the love of God, their water is just horrid. can anyone tell me why restaurants don't invest in decent water filters? I will also add that our service tonight was a solid good. I dined at Burrito Loco in Dallas,PA twice in the last week. The first day it was late in the evening and I was not very hungry but decided to go in with a friend of mine. I looked at the menu as I was looking for authentic Mexican food. I saw many dishes however the prices were a little higher than I expected for a small local restaurant. No I was looking for a step up from Taco Bell, but the price ranged anywhere from $10.99 on up. With most of the prices on the upside of $14.99 and beyond. We were prompt greeted by our service/relative of the owner and he was very courteous and explainEd to us all the different foods and drinks they had there and he said everything is authentic Mexican. Since I didn't want anything big and neither did the other person, we ordered two children's menu items of burritos and another item of chimichangas for $6.99. They were good, and served with beans and lettuce and tomato and salsa. We returned two days later for a larger luncheon portion of food and we ordered two taco salads for $11.99 each. I also ordered a chimichanga with chicken and I said I did not want a meal with beans or anything else, hoping it would be less than the $14.99 advertised. I guess you should never assume. They charged us full price at the end of the meal for just the chimichanga, which was very good and very filling. The salads left much to be desired. They were only chopped romaine lettuce not thinly chopped but just ripped chunks of lettuce, a few small cherry tomatoes, not chopped, and some sliced onion with uncooked frijole beans at the bottom . Not as you expect to be sticky and cooked to a paste. Very minimal beans and absolutely no cheese or sour cream or salsa to put on top. The chicken was minimal and had no Mexican flavoring I hate to say this but Wendy's makes a better taco salad and tasted much better than what we ate. There was not any chili con Carney on it. just the beans soggy at the bottom. It was served in a taco shell at our request. The waitress was nice but very young and confused as to what I wanted. I then received a shocking bill of $43.99. And being charged for the chimichanga even though it was stripped of all the other rice, frijole beans and the lettuce with tomato fixings. The staff was friendly and nice and it was very clean, the authentic Mexican decorations were nice too. However the prices were high for a small restaurant in an area where people are used to paying less than that. There's another restaurant nearby called CK's whose food is excellent and the prices are slightly lower. They've been there for several years earlier However, this restaurant has been open a little over a year and they need to have a menu that has value priced items and a sampler tray of Mexican food more reasonably priced for families. If you brought your family of four here. you'd be well over $100 . Not very price friendly. Burrito Loco of Dallas is hard to get to and difficult to view from the highway. They need to explore options for takeout items that are cheaper. Would I go there again? Maybe, but only ordering the children's menu items at $6.99 each. i'm not a cheapskate. But , I've had taco salads made in other cities even in California and TJ that were nicer, more authentic and more tastier than this. They need to look at their menu items how to make them more presentable and tastier plus less costly, or this restaurant will not be here very long. read more
