This is by far the worst food I've had in a long time. Everything was so wet and greasy. All the tacos and the UFO fell apart. Lack of flavor. It ended up just gross. I got sick that night along with my daughter's bf. Everything, down to the chips (we're completely grocery store bagged chips). We're just not worth it. If you're visiting, don't go here. read more

We had a great experience at this location on our visit to St. Augustine. I had a tasty burrito as well as a Tekata beer (just $2.50). My wife had three tasty tacos. They were generously portioned so two actually would've been enough. This restaurant does a great job at preparation for patrons who have dietary sensitivities such as gluten and dairy. Visited 27APR26:: My girlfriend and I tried this place out for the first time. I ordered the UFO, it was really good reminded me of a crunch wrap supreme from Taco Bell but way more stuff inside. Came in to get some lunch as we christmas shopped in st Augustine. My wife and i got some of Burrito works U.F.O. Mine with ground beef my wife's with tofu. They were both excellent and made quickly. This place has a special called UFOs which is essentially a fat crunchwrap in addition to all the regular tacos and burritos. For all their entrees you have the option of different toppings, the Baja or the works (think more classic american/taco bell toppings). If you want a bit of both worlds, I'd recommend getting the Works and adding their Baja sauce for some flavor and a bit of a kick spicy wise. This place is busy and popping and honestly it's not undeserved. I'd say the food is pretty good, portions are generous (1/2 of the UFO was enough for me) and the staff are all very friendly. read more

They were medium sized tacos with a solid amount of filling. We waited about 5 minutes after ordering to pick up the tacos. Pretty fire taco spot. Located right in the heart of St. Augustine, it's easy to walk in and find something for everyone. We grabbed two of their signatures UFOs, which is like the fresh ingredient version of Taco Bell's Crunchwrap supreme. I always judge a taco based on the quality of their guac--and lemme tell you, that guac was FRESH. It was huge too, we came in on empty stomachs and barely finished half of it. It's hard to return to Tbell after this! They have a soda foundation, bottled water, and every Jarritos flavor you can imagine. There's seating indoors and benches out front. The theme inside had a pretty cool, surfer vibe. Service was very nice and friendly, something all too rare nowadays. If you grab a bite on a good day, I'd recommend walking a block over and grabbing a bench in the park by Ponce de Leon circle. We'll definitely be back next time we're in town! read more

This taco shop is a little bit of a hole in the wall when you first walk in but you quickly realize they have it all together and have an elite system behind the grill. It seems like they are pretty well known to the locals and have become famous for their "UFO's" The UFO is basically a crunch wrap but I never thought it could be taken to the next level. What a great little spot in Historic St. Augustine! Lots of different options and you can really customize to your hearts content. We had a vegan in our group and he was able to easily get a meal perfect for him. I ended up getting the World Famous UFO with Chicken and it was delicious! It had a tostada in the middle, wrapped and grilled up in a tortilla and then there is a wonderful bit of grilled cheese on the bottom. I got the works option and it was so tasty. The food is made fresh but it came out quickly. The restaurant is fairly small but there is still a fair amount of seating inside. The employees were all great and the food was yummy! We arrived on a Saturday with a party of 6. Probably wouldn't recommend coming here with a large party. It's kind of tight with somewhat limited seating. Stood in line, ordered, paid, then luckily found some seating while waiting for the food to be prepared then grabbed it when it was ready. My wife wanted to order the cart tacos, but it was only limited to two choices of protein. They wouldn't do one of each (4). She ordered the Kungfu instead. So did I but not sure which choice of protein she chose. I chose the Mahi Mahi. It was okay. 3/5. Had a little bit of a kick but the hard/soft shell was interesting. I visited Burrito Works Taco Shop twice during my week here. The first night I went in there they were playing an awesome 80s new wave sound track, and I went with their UFO which the menu states is their most popular item. Its easy to see why. They are like a properly stuff crunch wrap from taco bell - burrito size fillings with a crunchy tortilla baked inside their pressed, griddle brown outside. I ordered mine with beef and the works and it hit the spot. I loved the $2 Tecate - which is the perfect beer for this type of food. The second time I went back I still had that southern cali vibe in my head from my first visit so I figured let me see if they do a killer baja fish taco - they don't. I ordered two mahi mahi and shrimp baja style with soft corn shells. I would have liked large chunks of lightly fried fish, but this was some dried out mahi mahi, the shrimps weren't much better. There various hot sauces added a little variety and saved the meal, but I was a bit disappointed. Stick with the UFO or burritos which seem to be greater than the sum of their parts - everything comes together nicely. This place has a great vibe, and certainly worth a stop when you are looking for some tasty tex-mex! read more
