Didn't have a great experience in the store ordering as they were short staffed but we ordered anyway. We got 4 breakfast burritos, 2 w/ sausage and 2 w/ bacon, we planned to have 2 leftover. The burritos were mostly bland, boiled potato chunks. The bacon looked weird probably microwaved. The cheese was that liquid nacho cheese that just tastes like salt. There eggs were scarce, but when found were a very unappetizing gray color. Needless to say, we will find another burrito place. Disappointing. read more

If there was an option for 0 stars I would have chosen that. New ownership...bad, bad, bad, terrible, awful, horrible, insanely bad, disturbing, bad, bad start. Such a bummer. You would hope that when new ownership came in they wouldn't just try and put lipstick on a failing business with bad food. They kept the same awful menu and literally only removed the originality of what was once a staple. They removed all high school photos.... Which to be honest was the only reason I went there, because the old owner Cindy was an absolute saint and everyone loved her. Not only are they not using fresh bacon as an ingredient, they are using cold bacon bits, and on top of that, they ran out of cold bacon bits at 9:30am on a Saturday!!! The pricing is still outrageously high even if it was a good breakfast burrito, it cost us almost 40 dollars for 3 bad burritos and 3 drinks. A bottle of Coca Cola was literally 4 dollars..... NEVER MIND THE FOUNTAIN DRINKS ARE SYRUP with NO carbonation and the burrito is made with NACHO CHEESE. Service was awkward, environment was awkward, ....how hard is it to try playing some soft background music.... Overall, extremely disappointed that it couldn't just get better. Hard to mess up a breakfast burrito so badly. I'd highly recommend driving 5 minutes up the road to jus burritos for a high quality, much more affordable breakfast burrito. Figure it out. read more

What Happened to Burritos To Go? I use to eat there all the time in High School, loved the place. I ordered food from them, severely disappointed. The food was inedible, and I'm not that picky. I ordered Nachos and a side of beans. The chips I believe are from before the shut down of COVID, they were so stale and old I couldn't chew them. The beans were burnt and thick and the meat was disgusting, tasted like dish water. I wish I was joking. I had about 3 bites unfortunately. Stopped in to buy lunch - I hadn't been there since the new owner took over. So beginning with the food -- I'm still convinced Santiagos might be better - We had the "deluxe" burritos-- they weren't so "deluxe" there was no quacamole, no jalapenos, and no cilantro (kind of defeats the purpose of being a "burrito joint" - So we were all underwhelmed with the effort -- But the insult to the injury of overpriced, mediocre burritos - they have decided to charge a FOUR PERCENT surcharge to credit or debit transaction. Although this is in clear violation of Colorado Law - as Colorado has capped surcharges at 2% - and debit cards may not be charged at all, unless the merchant offers a cash AND credit price on their menu (they don't) When asked about this - the new owner got quite defensive, and insisted that he was being forced to price gouge his customers by the company processing his credit cards - and if he didn't, there would be a $2000.00 fee to pay - despite the fact that this practice is illegal. On its face, this is nonsense -- but to be expected from a sub optimal owner that can't keep guacamole in his Mexican restaurant - All this nonsense, overbilling and bs -- skip this one, It's not Cindy's place any longer -- There are much better places in the Mile High. read more

New ownership is promising. Our family has been going to BTG for over a decade. We would grab burritos at least once a week and were always pleased. I would bring my colleagues from work; everyone I introduced to the place loved it. It was a great family run restaurant. But a few years ago, the quality started to go downhill. After a couple bad experiences, we stopped visiting. Sadly, the previous family owners were not only struggling with the COVID drop in business, but also the worsening health of the matriarch and public face of BTG. When I found out that they sold the restaurant to new family ownership, I was excited to try it again. My first burrito back was the Bacon gringo and it was great. I look forward to becoming a regular again. BTG is a Broomfield gem and am so happy to see it thriving again read more

BTG is a super convenient option for breakfast. The service is quick and the quality is good. Cindy was a fantastic proprietor, but I did stop going there for a while due to a bad experience I had (not with Cindy, but with one of the other employees at the time). Memorial Day weekend 2023 I decided to give BTG another try and, coincidentally enough, that weekend happened to be the weekend of the grand reopening under new ownership. So, I met the whole family--super-nice family. I was really pleased with the quality of the burrito at that time--kind of back to BTG's heyday of good burritos. I went with hope and expectations from the reviews that this place would be legit. Sadly, I ended up throwing my burritos away. This is only for the breakfast burritos. I ordered the bacon, egg, etc and a chorizo. The bacon was a box of bacon bits thrown into greenish eggs, hard potatoes, and pockets of cheese. It did not taste good, which is sad because BACON. The bacon bits were cold too. The chorizo, or whatever is supposed to be chorizo, was pretty bland and pretty bare. Because of the eggs and the bland chorizo, I decided not to spike the cholesterol and threw it along with the remainder of my bacon burrito in trash. Maybe I need to try a bean burrito. read more

I've been meaning to try this little gem for years! I finally made my way over there 2 weeks ago! I've never had a burrito that was so packed with deliciousness! I selected the bacon breakfast burrito and I wasn't disappointed at all! Generally, burritos tend to have minuscule amounts of meat. However, these burritos were generously packed with every bite. Found this place on Google, went for 4 breakfast burritos. Friendly guy took my order, then disappeared into the back room. As I waited, I was shocked to see how absolutely FILTHY this place is. It was so disgusting, I wanted to leave and would have if I hadn't already paid. The counters, floors, the mats, the walls and the soda machine were FILTHY. There were two tiny black tables pushed together and they obviously hadn't been used in probably a year, seeing how much dirt and dust was on them. I wouldn't even out my purse on that table. I was truly hoping that the food wouldn't make us sick. As I got home and everyone started eating, every one of us noticed that the burritos (The Gringo) was like a mashed potato burrito. My burrito had only 2 pieces of egg smaller than an M&M. All of us opened our burritos, and there was almost no egg to be found in any of them. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this place!!! I was just a Freshman in 2004 when a friend took me to this place. I had no money, but my friend bought me a Dos Gringo and Cindy made sure to make me feel so special. I visited many times through HS with Cindy always greeting me by name. It was almost 10 years later before I found my way back and Cindy called me out by name and it felt like I didn't miss a year without visiting. She is a part of my family and I love her food! I can not believe this place has more than one star reviews. This was my first time trying the place and I was very disappointed. Not only was the staff very rude but they made me and the person I came with feel discriminated and unwelcomed. The food was terrible we ordered burritos and after one bite that was it. They have fantastic burritos that are fairly priced for the amount you're getting. However I have had a few instances where the tortilla was a little too thin and got a tear in it while I was eating, but it's honestly not that big of a deal to me. Awesome food and decent prices. I really, really wanted to like this place more. They are awesome with community service and seem very involved however, I didn't love my chorizo breakfast burrito. It was loaded with potato and chorizo but not much of anything else so it was very salty and needed more of something to balance it out. It has major potential but if I went back, I would be sure to ask for a more balanced portion of eggs vs meat and potatoes. I couldn't eat it BUT.....I could have taken it home and turned it into two meals by adding some eggs, chili verde and cheese. It's close to home and not a corporate operation...Unfortunately, the salsa and chips are Tostitos (just buy them at a convenience store for less), and it seems most of the products they use come from a can or freeze pack, including meat. I ordered enchiladas online and specifically asked for only lettuce, onions, and sour cream. Thankfully, I also got sides of rice and beans, because what I actually got was more like green chile and tomatoes with a side of enchiladas (and no sour cream). I'm a vegetarian, so that was a no go. I did eat the rice and beans, although the beans had one of the strangest textures I've ever seen. I have been looking for a yummy burrito place and I found one right in my neighborhood I had one of their breakfast burritos and it was absolutely scrumdiddlyumptious. I ate every last bite and that is very rare for me. I talked to the owner Cindy and they have been here for 15 years , family owned and operated, extremely well established, excellent communication ,very clean and very welcoming. Fiancé went in to get some burritos. Came back super annoyed because the lady at the counter was sweet as peaches to the anglo people in the establishment, but was rude to him and rushed through his order (a Hispanic). A lot of places have you pay after you receive your order, so he sat down to wait and she said "ah ah, get back here mister, don't try and run off". What the hell??? First of all, you're profiting off of "Mexican" food but treat them badly? Second, burritos weren't worth $30. Overly peppered and poorly wrapped. The "green chile" was sad, more like gravy and I couldn't taste the Chile at all. Third, your responses to customer reviews are so rude and unprofessional. This place is run by a complete knob. Also, after reviewing the menu, I noticed an item called "chi chi". This is Spanish slang for boobs. Just an FYI lol. It's super unfortunate because we're the type of people who will be loyal to small businesses because we appreciate their dedication. So in my line of work I usually eat on the run. So I found myself up in Broomfield around 10th and Sheridan. (That's roughly 133rd and Sheridan for those not familliar with Broomfields streets) It was breakfast time and I was starving, so I pulled into Burritos To Go. I found a wonderfully friendly woman behind the counter, and a lot of community pride inside this very small establishment. A lot of pictures of the local High School kids, and awards for their work in the community. I ordered the "Ole" and I was pleasently surprised to see the size of it when it arrived. It was huge, and very filling. Tasted great, a little bland for my taste, but my taste tend to think everything is bland, so don't trust my taste buds. For the size of the burrito alone I would definitely reccomend it. And the taste was great, I just wanted to turn the dial up on the flavor a notch or two. read more

I will definitely be returning to Burritos To Go. Some friends have been telling me for some time how much they enjoy this place, so today, we went for lunch. The place is tiny - you're definitely taking your food with you, but the taste is big. The delicious smells hit me before I even walked in the door, followed swiftly by a smile from the lady behind the counter (one of the owners, I believe - it's a family owned business). They cook everything there on premises (except possibly the chips), and from what I could see of the kitchen, everything was clean and well-kept. The lady running things chatted with me for a bit - she was really delightful, and obviously proud of the business - it showed. And I can say they have every reason to be proud. She was happy to explain that they'd been in business for twenty years, and were going strong, and that they cared about what into their food. The menu selections are extensive, but organized and not confusing. I ordered a large carne burrito with shredded beef, cheese, guacamole and sour cream. When they say grande, they mean it. I'm a pretty big eater, and there was enough for two of me. The prices are extremely reasonable. You can eat really well on the cheap. They build the burritos out of multiple tortillas, which was slightly awkward if you're silly like me and unwrap the whole foil wrapper, but I scarfed mine down using a fork and knife, and it was fine. The taste was really good, and I liked that, unlike some burrito places, they mix the fillings together, so you don't end up with one bite of lettuce, one of cheese, one of meat, etc. Super-yummy, great prices, fast, friendly and family-owned. Before blowing a bunch of cash on food with less soul, from some uncaring chain, try this place. Like me, I suspect you'll be back. read more

This place is amazing. My boyfriend and I grew up in Broomfield and now live in Denver, but still make the drive up north about once a month just to get their breakfast burritos. He enjoys their Gringo smothered, and I get their veggie breakfast burrito with beans smothered. Great green chili, and Cindy (the owner) is the sweetest lady you will ever meet.
