Ordered the breakfast burrito with bacon, and A order of asada tacos (4) which like normal has 4 extra corn tortillas so technically it's 8. Staff was friendly right when I walked in they asked if it was to go, they do also have a smaller seating area if you plan on eatting in. I love that the 3 ladies on staff were all cleaning when I came in one was washing walls, one wiping chairs, and another cleaning tables. Order only took couple mins to make kitchen was very fast for morning time. I asked the cashier what her favorite item was she did say the tacos. The breakfast burrito i ordered had mild green Chile with bacon and of course with potatos and egg. I think I might want a spicer Chile next go around it wasn't hot at all. The tacos I ordered were asada it comes witha like jalapeno,corn tortillas, onions, and normally cilantro. Sorry everyone I can't have cilantro do to allergies so my order/photo had none. That jalapeno was hot so be warned but so good they toast it over open flame best way to have it. I also can't have most salsas so to cilantro so I didn't try these either. But they look good. Easy to pass right by, and a super awkward parking lot once you do find it. Prices are a bit steep for Mexican. They do have a daily lunch special, but you only get one choice per day. They were pretty busy during lunch hours but I received my food quickly. I wound up getting a trio of chicken enchiladas, complete with a bite of chicken bone, not pleasant. They also randomly put a pile of chopped onions on top of their enchiladas, super odd and totally unnecessary. I got double rice (partially overcooked) since they don't offer black or pinto beans, only refried, lame. Portion was a fair size but ultimately underwhelming based on the high review score. I don't crave Mexican that often so probably won't return. There are better options in Superior. read more

Had lunch with hubs again today. So excited because we were bringing food to my mom in law. But today I was sorely disappointed. My Pollo Adobado was completely lacking in flavor, the avocados were sparse and gray, see pics, and the jalapeño wa less than half the size as normal. I'm soooo sad. Then we ordered the No.7 for my mom in law. The chili rellano(sp?) completely burned. Everything no flavor. We will try them again but they'll only have one more chance. 4.5-5 so I rounded up. It's been almost 5 yrs and the quality is still delicious!!! Still not much spice hence the 4.5 stars. Had lunch with hubs today. We've been here several times. He always gets the menudo. This is some of the tastiest Mexican food I've found in Denver. The tacos birria were recommended to us and they were definitely fantastic, perfectly crispy, flavorful and tender beef, delicious sauce and the perfect melty cheese on top. The fajitas were also fantastic with really tender, tasty and nicely browned meat, and generous portions of the fixings, especially guac! I ordered pozole, which, having lived in Zihua, I know how it should taste. The broth had no flavor. I added lime...no help. I added a little salt....no help. The hominy was a little sweet. It was all wrong and WAY overpriced. I had about 3 spoons of it and gave up. My husband had greasy cheese enchiladas, which did not have much flavor either. The rice was flavorless and overcooked. This place is my go-to Mexican food in Colorado. This is the type of Mexican food that you would find at any sit down Mexican food restaurant in California or New Mexico. Big plates of food with chile covering the main entree. They have both breakfast and lunch/dinner fare. I have eaten both and love both dearly. For breakfast you will most likely hear about their breakfast burritos which are better than any breakfast burrito I have had in Colorado. Santiago's is nothing compared to this (cheaper I guess) and the breakfast burrito place down the road from this, Jus Burritos basically serves garbage. Besides the breakfast burritos I have also had the breakfast chile fries, breakfast quesadilla, and chilaquiles and I would recommend them all. Breakfast burrito and chilaquiles are the only ones I feel like give you a full breakfast vibe though. Admittedly, I have had lunch here less than the breakfast but everything I have had has been great. Their chile rellenos are great. Chile rellenos are usually my test for a good Mexican food joint and this place passes the test. As far as the actual establishment, I have been going here for the last, maybe, 6 years and I always see the same three women. I don't know their story but I hope they own the place and feel great for the work they are doing. They are always very friendly.
