My husband and I have been going here for years. The breakfast burritos are seriously the best out of everywhere I've tried, and I've tried them all. I came in late last night and didn't know they were closed, and they still made me one. The people who work here are so nice, and always try their best. It's a very small drive through so there's no sit down seating except a few tables outside, but that's fine with me! They are a subsidiary of the Los Arcos restaurant, so their other food is also great. Sometimes there is a bit of a wait but it's always worth it. First of all, the girl taking our order was seemingly very confused at everything we asked or ordered and couldn't remember what alterations were asked for. The steak tacos taste like char chipped off the grill. Incredibly crunchy and hard. Tiniest little bits of "steak" I've ever seen. Chili is decent. Their signs says opens at 7am, I show up at 7:15 this morning and nobody is there to answer me in the drive-through. So I pull up to the window to be greeted after 5 more minutes and I'm rudely told, "when it's cold outside we don't start later, so if I want to sit and wait for 15 minutes that's your choice". Wow! I was shocked that she had the audacity to give me attitude and act like i was an inconvenience. If I could get half a star I would! $9.45 for a burrito that ultimately ended up costing $11.30 after tax. It was literally about 5 in long and about 3 in in diameter they said it was steak but all I have was mouthful after mouthful of gristle. The beans tasted off like they added potting soil or something to the beans. The burrito with soggy, small, overpriced, full of gristle, I will never ever go back to that or the actual restaurant because I feel like what they just serve me at the express was what was left over after preparing the actual food at the restaurant! I'm really surprised by the reviews. My order has always been 100% correct, the service has always been fast and friendly and the food is always fresh and great! This is one of my favorite "fast food" places. I am in line no more than 15 minutes. The food comes out super hot and fresh. My order has always been correct and very tasty! Eh, lets try Los Arquitos since I had never been there and I wanted to use the drive thru. Pretty standard Mexican menu, maybe more on the more expensive side. I ended up ordering a chicken and bean smothered burrito and a horchata. Total: $6.10. The ordering guy was very nice and kept calling me "sweetheart" and other names I am a sucker for!!! I had to eat my food real quick, I was a little disappointed to see my burrito. No lettuce, cheese or tomatoes. Maybe I had to order it a deluxe? I'm not going to lie, it was a pretty sad burrito. I am DONE with this place. Our Friday night ritual is to get home, drive to the express, get our delicious food. It used to be a no brainer until they put this kid in charge. For the last 3 ( THREE) weeks our order has been wrong when we get home. 2 of these weeks I asked for chicken on my meal. I get home and it has ground beef. NO CHICKEN. Tonight we ordered a quart of the green chili. Get home and it's only a pint. I'm sure we were charged for the quart, but can't be sure because we never see a receipt. We live 3 miles from the place and aren't about to drive back. I have been coming here for over a year and the food is always good. However after dozens of times trying to come for breakfast on my way to work I'm done sitting at their menu board wondering if they're ever going to answer to take my order. Or calling ahead and having nobody answer the phone. They say they open at 7am. However these times that I talk about sitting there waiting with no answer is it 715 720. While the food was very good, it was not what we ordered. To start off we looked online to find the menu and call in our order, so it would be ready to just pick up. We wanted 2 of the #2 combo specials; 1 smothered burrito, 1 tostada and 1 taco. All of which, according to the online menu, you could pick your choice of meat for each item. The young man that answered the phone was very rushed and dismissive and did not seem to know the menu that is posted online. Because of this, we asked him to read back the order and he had it correct. When we arrived home after picking up our order, most of it was incorrect. Out of the 2 combos, that's 6 items total, only 2 items were correct. The red chili was amazing, and the price is good. I am honestly surprised this place had bad reviews! No experience at the restaurant in person but I ordered delivery through UberEats and it is SO GOOD. They paid attention to all the extra add-ons I requested and got the order perfect, and also hooked it up (you know how sometimes if you order guac on something, some places barely put any on? "All Hail the burrito man!" There are a lot of Mexican food places in the Federal Heights area but this one's my favorite. I love their stake tacos made with grilled stake(much better than the ground up mystery meat at other places) and hand made salsa. If you order anything smothered try their red chili; it's the bomb! This place is family owned and it shows. The owner and his employees really work hard to please their customers and it's very admirable. So if your too busy to cook dinner or if you want a delicious lunch on the go, give this place a try. read more

This location has been our goto for fast togo mexican food for years. During the pandemic we ordered from the and it was absolutely disgusting. The only thing that has flavor is the chili and now isnt that great.. We ordered yesterday because it was convenient . We ordered Enchilada plates and they were ground hamburger wrapped with corn tortilla no cheese no onion like we requested. they added a little bit enchilada sauce that tasted like flour. topped with very little cheese. This place has really gone down!! I think the food they serve now is horrible. the tacos had very little plain hamburger little lettuce and cheese and when we got home in litterally 5 minutes the shell was so soggy and everything fell out. they need changes to there food. we also go to LAS Arcos on 88th the restaurant which is very good????? read more

Los Arquitos is awesome! I go there regularly and get breakfast burritos, the chile relleno plate and taquitos. Every time it comes out quick and delicious! The people working the drive through are always very nice and one time the guy in front of me wouldn't move up enough so I could place my order so the gentleman working the window walked out and took it! Their menu is similar to any Mexican restaurant so if you want a horchata or sopapillas they have that too. I can't recommend this place enough. And best of all it's very reasonably priced! read more

The lady who took my drive through order this was on Tuesday 10/19/21 about 1:30 pm she said they were out of beans and so i said I would wait.. so i did i waited 15 minutes for beans and my order then she shorted me a side of beans then charged me again for it.. it was bad enough i had to block traffic to ask for my order of beans.. when i went up to the order window the woman who were cooking and the rude drive through lady.. were speaking in Spanish calling me stupid and saying damn she is desperate for beans and they said she she stop being lazy and make some at home.. I am a busy working woman and i was starving and was craving good Mexican food. its seldom that i get to try new mexican restaurants because i usually only dine out with the wife. tonight was an exception where i needed to stop by the carwash and the auto parts store in good ol federal heights. its not too often that i make it down by gun, dollar and pawn store country, but i was crossing my fingers for a drive through mexican gem. in the previous location of 'the human bean' los arquitos is what appears to be a drive through only auto-rant. their menu has a staggering payload of what looks like truck stop mexican food, nothing special or out of the ordinary. they pictures are really not appetizing so when i finally tried the food maybe thats why i was pleasantly surprised. i would rate this as a mom and pop taco bell. they are open late, and drive through but are no casita da durango (which is my benchmark 10 for tacos in this country). they are about $2 a taco so are a bit more expensive than their giant corporate competitor but are a nice alternative. their sauce is not nearly as hot or plentiful but i'm sure the food is better for you. read more

Every item I order has a problem to it, and when they read it back to me wrong, and I correct her, she doesn't even listen, and it's still wrong when I get it!!!
