The staff was friendly, answered all my questions, and made me feel welcome from the moment I walked in. No complaints about the service, was good and quick. First issue they don't have drink carriers for the large drinks and the lids (which wer doubled for some reason) leak. Not good when you're transporting 4 drinks. We ordered 4 items (carne asada fries, shrimp burrito, shrimp tacos and flautas) and for what we paid (over $80) was HIGHLY disappointed in the shrimp tacos. The last time we ordered the shrimp tacos they were topped with cabbage and their pico (I asked for the pico on the side) but this is what we got. 6 small shrimp, lots of house sauce, and 2 large corn tortillas. First time trying! I got the potato tacos and they were so good!!! I ordered the combo to go, and although it was a little pricey, it was very filling. By the time I got home my food wasn't hot anymore but it didn't change the fact that it tasted deliciousssssss. I bet eating their food right when it comes out is even more delicious. I LOVE that the rice has corn in it!!! ALSOO love their little salsa bar. The spiciest one is my favorite, yum. I'll definitely be back to try their French fries and burritos. Soooo happy with my service. I visited via drive thru last Saturday after work (retail in Westgate) so it was late. I ordered the weekly deal fish tacos and carne asada chips. Whoever made my food was amazing. The ratio was perfection and even when I asked for jalapeños I was told they'd have to get them from the bar (it's mixed in with the carrots). I would've been okay if it were a hassle but the lady in the drive thru was so kind, went the extra mile and gave me some. At the window, the total came to $32. I said, "Ma'am, I only ordered two burritos," and she replied, "If you pay in cash, we offer a discount." I didn't have cash, but out of curiosity, I asked what the total would've been. She said, "Like $20." That's a huge difference with zero explanation and frankly, it felt shady. But the worst part? I got home and opened the bag to find two bean and cheese burritos. Not even close to what I ordered. I have tried a good portion of the menu but my favorites are the mom's (green chili pork) burrito, shredded beef tacos, and Baja shrimp tacos. 4 stars for Arizona (Would probably be a 3-3.5 in San Diego). I had seen these all over the place out in San Diego. I guess they started in Tijuana, and then opened a bunch in San Diego. I have my favorite spots in San Diego, and with limited time on vacation, I usually don't stray too far from my go tos. I saw they had recently opened one of these here in AZ somewhat close to my house, so I drove down tonight to grab some dinner. I went with a California Burrito and a Beef Taco. Total was just under $14.00. I went through the drive through and the guy at the window was friendly, and my food was ready pretty quick. I parked and dug in. Here is how they were........... Beef Taco- Pretty big. Beef, lettuce, cheese and tomatoes. Taste was ok. The shell was a little weird though. It wasn't "crispy" and was a little bit too chewy. Not sure if that's their style, or if it wasn't fried long enough. Tasted almost like the tortilla was stale. It was priced right at $3.29, I think, and with a more crisp shell, this would have been a good hard shell beef taco. California Burrito- Going on 8 years on AZ, and I still haven't found an "amazing" burrito. Some good ones, sure, but some great ones? Naw. This fell into the same category. Tortilla was good (not as good as taco shop tortillas in San Diego, but for AZ, pretty solid) and the size of the burrito was pretty hefty. It had a decent amount of carne asada, fries, and sour cream. The pico was really really tasty (lots of onion) but it was a bit skimp. I would have preferred a lot more of it. Each bite was blended pretty well which I appreciated. Overall, a solid burrito. Hot sauces weren't that good though, honestly. I preferred the green over the red, but neither were standouts. Luckily the burrito was good enough on its own to not need a lot of sauce. Overall, I was happy with my dinner. I'm sure I'll be back to try some of their fries/chips sometime in the future. I love the drive through, the prices were fair/good and its not too far from my house. Definitely one of the better taco shops I have been to in AZ. read more

We came on a Saturday night around 8p. It wasn't busy inside the restaurant, but the drive thru was. The interior was well lit and decorated with gender neutral restrooms. It was cute. We asked the cashier for some suggestions. She said they're popular item was the carne asada fries. The menu is pretty extensive. We ordered the fries and the surf and turf burro. The fries had two sizing Options, regular and large. We ordered a regular. The order took about 7 minutes from order to counter/table. When we opened the fries, it wasn't anything more special than normal. Shoestring Fries, carne, guacamole, sour cream, and shredded cheese. But when I put the fork in and put it in my mouth, ‍. Thoroughly disappointed. The food was warm, leaning more towards cold, but warm. We mixed it around again and the second bite, taken by my wife, was no different...warm. I took the food back to the counter and expressed my concern. A gentleman took it and said they would remake it. It came out moments later and nothing was changed. It was warm. I swear it was the same meal. Overall, they're no different from Filiberto's. I went in with high expectations and was just let down. At least Filiberto's serves hot food. The burrito was cut open and it had rice, carne, shrimp, chipotle sauce, and salsa Fresca and fries. The shrimp wasn't seasoned or anything. Again, to my disappointment, it was just warm. I didn't bother taking it back to the counter to ask for a remake. The owner says he has multiple locations throughout San Diego and Tijuana. Maybe those are better. It usually lasts me 2 days because the portions pretty large. We use the drive through so it's usually quite quick and the food is warm. We ordered the Surf and Turf Burro, The Daily Special #2 two fish tacos rice and beans with a drink as well as 5 rolled tacos also from the special menu. Let's start by saying it's new...Staff didn't seem to familiar with the menu nor happy that I corrected them about the pricing as they overcharged me. A nice guy came and corrected the second menu error and everything was all good. Make sure you ask for chile as both the red and green are pretty tasty. The Surf and Turf Burro was pretty bomb, has French fries and a good flavored chipotle sauce. Also, it's not a small burrito so bring your appetite for this one. The fish tacos were good I'd say a 7 out of 10. Veggies seemed to be fresh, the batter on the fish was crispy still, and the corn tortillas have a good flavor. The beans and rice on the other hand are no from me...it's a basic fast food rice and beans missing flavor and the beans are thick thick. My drink that was included was also forgotten...5 rolled tacos pretty good. Crispy with a good flavored beef. Again the fresh veggies and guacamole make this one a go to for the price. After a review of the menu I was a bit turned off by $17 dollar Carneasada fries from a brand new restaurant, but the variety of the menu is cool. I did appreciate the variety of prices and options as there is something for everyone. A huge plus for me is breakfast is served all day.
