Campechano is a mixed meat taco with asada, tripa, and cheese and it is fantastic. I love corn tortillas as much as the next guy but gotta try flour with Sonoran tacos too. We came today for Taco Tuesday ($2.50 tacos) and it was delicious! We're definitely coming back. We used to go to Tacos Calafia almost every Tuesday, but they got too expensive. This place is very similar and much cheaper with a bigger salsa bar. My little kids appreciated the plain cucumbers and fresh pineapple in the bar. I only tried tacos and cheese quesadillas and they were all great. My husband's favorite was the Sonora taco and mine was the pastor, but they were all good! So we finally found the time to go check them out, and we were definitely not disappointed! They're tucked away in the corner of a little strip mall, and the dining room is not super big, but their tacos make up for it!!They were so delicious!! We tried the asada, the Sonoran, the barbacoa, and the pollo. Everything was so flavorful. We also ordered a side of beans that were absolutely delicious. The condiment cart was packed with salsas and all the fixings needed, and the star in my opinion was the best-tasting cucumbers I've ever had!! They are marinated in a red sauce and sprinkled with Tajín and they are mouthwatering! You're definitely going to want to stop in and check these guys out! Now onto the food... I ordered the family meal azada al pastor mix. The carne asada was awful, it left us with a bad after taste. The beans not good. The al pastor meat was ok, my kids liked it. I wasn't familiar with the area and looked up a taco place using Yelp. This place had 4.9 stars and that is what I used to select it. Jalapeños is hidden in a corner of a strip mall located off the beaten path. It was a Sunday afternoon and there wasn't much parking available, yet it only had two customers inside. However, both told my friend and I that the food was very good.... My friend ordered two carne asada tacos and I ordered an asada burrito which comes with beans and cheese. Beans aren't something I typically like in a burrito, but these did not disappoint! I actually thought they were Mexican chili beans, which to me are refried beans with chorizo, but I asked one of the cooks and he said they are actually made with chile de árbol. They were very yummy and took over the asada in my burrito at first bite! The meat was good, but them beans My friend said her tacos were also really good, but honestly, I think she enjoyed all the condiments from the salsa bar the most! They have an extensive selection to choose from including not only four salsas, but limes, cabbage, cucumbers, pickled carrots, grilled jalapeños, hamburger toppings (yes, they serve burgers too!), etc. Everything was fresh and I fell head over heels with the spicy red salsa! I like it hot and this was perfect! My friend really enjoyed the pineapple and cilantro salsa! Food was ordered at the counter, but brought out to our table. It was all very fresh and because one of the two customers recommended the Quesabirria tacos, I went back after placing our original order and got one for each of us. My friend ate hers and loved it, but after half my burrito, I just couldn't eat anything else. My leftovers will be my dinner without a doubt!
