It is a dilapidated building without even an accessible ladies restroom. The residents of Goldsboro deserve better from their public parks and recreation department. While the department offers numerous creative programs for all ages and ability levels at affordable prices, the indoor facility needs a major over-haul. Outdoor amenities from playgrounds to open spaces are wonderful. I look forward to when the Herman Park Center is replaced. Greater things are sure to come!

Such a beautiful day. They had what seemed like new equipment and also some older stuff. The park was shaded well and I can see why people enjoy going here. I didn't see a bathroom out there which can be downside when you have small children. The parking was great. They had a overflow parking lot for busier days at the park. The park seemed to be well kept. There were workers out there cutting grass etc. The park was also situated near a local neighborhood which is really convenient for them. Overall we enjoyed the park + the weather.

Now it should be mentioned that I am looking at this park during the winter months, but there are still some glaring areas that need attention. There are many spots through the park with low lying areas that contain stagnant water that during the spring summer and fall will be breeding mosquitoes. Need to eliminate them with some fill dirt and reseed before it is too late to do so. You will spend more on chemicals to get rid of the bugs and will also drive out those people attempting to enjoy the park. As for the Disc Golf course, I got lost after hole 12. None of the tee boxes are concreted in. They are all mud holes. They need some help. I will re-review in Mid Spring.

We were already cleaning the place and everyone would have been out of the room at 4 but he didn't give us time to thank our families for coming and we love them and to be safe:( but yet he got in line to get a plate of food (I didn't know until later because he wouldn't have gotten that plate) rudeness shouldn't be a part of renting a facility....... we were very disappointed in the way the staff member treated us he was rude from the moment we arrived....... We don't recommend this facility for rental mainly for how ugly the Staff was. The facility itself was really nice but the staff not so much

Run by the Old Waynesborough Commission. The park consists of a village featuring nine historic buildings brought from across the county. These buildings, including a school, lawyer's office, and Quaker meeting house, date from the 1860's to the 1920s. The Visitors Center is open on weekends only. 9-5 Friday and Saturday 1-5 on Sundays. In addition to the village there are 150 acres along the Neuse and Little Rivers with over four miles of walking trails through open spaces, forest, and cypress swamp. This area is also on the NC Birding Trail. There is a family cemetery from the 1800s accessible by walking trail. Facilities are available for weddings, reunions, and other special events. Popular area for photo shoots. The hiking trails, especially bridges need repair and maintenance desperately to be safe. While there are trash cans, much more trash is littering the grounds.

Princeton is a very small town about 20 minutes from Goldsboro. I have been to this park several…read moretimes. Its a small park with about 3 pplay areas for kids and a small gravel track. There is also a shelter for a group lr picnic. Its not a bad park, it just needs some updating. I go to the park when i am working with my client who uses a wheel chair. The gravel tracm makes it difficult to push him around & is verh difficult to get him to walk on the rocks. The park itself is great for the size of the town. Whenever/if ever they fix the track they will vet 5 stars
