It's always fun to give a person with whom you do business a positive review. It's a way of saying "Thanks a million!" to someone who you feel did you right. Unfortunately, that is not the case with Busheler's. Twice now, I came away feeling cheated (at worst, or that they work so sloppy they just don't do the job right, at best). On November 10th 2025 I took my John Deere riding lawnmower in for four problems which developed over the last few months: I needed a new drive belt, the engine tended to surge at idle, it had a flat tire on a rear wheel and it barely backed up in reverse. I was told it could be three weeks until they could get to my mower. I thought, Fine, I knew this would be pretty much standard operating procedure for this business and so I was prepared to be without a mower. Four days later, I got a phone call from Busheler's saying my mower was ready for pickup. Wow! That was quick, but great! A gentleman working in the yard lifted my mower on to my flat bed trailer while I went to pay the bill. I went to the office to pay my bill....a whopping $342.00 Of that, $210.00 was labor. The balance was for oil, two plugs, a belt and oil and gasoline filters. I sort of accepted this is what happens when you do business with someone in a "speciality" trade. You have little or no power. I remember squeezing the formerly flat tire and noted it had plenty of air in it. A couple of days later I needed to use the mower and, upon starting it, noticed the rear wheel was once again flat. Nothing had been done, clearly. The flat had not been repaired. As the motor came up to operating temperature, it started to surge at idle rpm's. (The work order stated "Tune-up, Carbs?) Finally, the mower STILL would not back up. Again, no one paid any attention to the work order. At this writing, the only thing done to my mower was an oil change, two filters, and and drive belt--all for the "ridiculously low price" of $342.00! I suppose I could go to Besheler's and complain but I know from experience that one rarely wins a war with many service businesses like Besheler's. Looking for a new mower shop. read more

Ok, I'm all for business having low overhead. I'll put Bushelers in that category at 2590 Main Street in Springfield. Just displaying a sign that says "customer entrance" on the door is very good. It's always nice to know you aren't entering some place you shouldn't enter. But here is the issue... Even in the lawn mower repair business, it would be nice for the first person you meet to make a good or at the very least "decent" impression right? Well not necessarily at Bushelers. The heavy-set woman behind the desk looked bored, disinterested, and most of all...like I was bothering whatever she was doing before I opened the door. She really should take a college 101 course in pleasantries, even if she has to fake it. I know....probably minimum wage. Maybe the owners wife! I explained the lawn mower problem, and she said it would be 1 to 2 weeks before anyone could look at it. Really? 1 to 2 weeks just to see what needs to be done? No thank you. This doesn't seem like a business that is interested in fixing my lawn mower. Bushelers obviously doesn't need my business and based on first impressions plus the expected time for someone to just look at the lawn mower, I'll take it somewhere else. read more

Took my chainsaw here for sharpening and repair. Pro tip, if you have a chainsaw repair business and the customer has marked a few teeth with a red Sharpie, you should probably at least sharpen those, because he's gonna look at them and compare them before and after pics. It's shoddy to charge when you clearly didn't do anything. They also didn't do the oiler repair they charged me for. When I called, they said they had tested it and it worked fine. Hey, I don't believe you, the chain is still bone dry. They tried to say I must have clogged it after leaving the shop, but I hadn't even cut anything with it yet. Finally, the woman on the phone said something like, you can bring it back if you want. There is every indication that they took my money and never did the work. I would chalk that up to a mistake except that they were so shoddy about it when I called, straight to blame the customer mode. read more

Completely disappointed with this last appointment I had. Dr. never even addressed some of the issues that I had and when I told him about them, he said he couldn't see them. He saw them the time i was there before but never addressed it. I have two dark spots on my back and he just brushed it aside like he couldn't see them. An $80 co-pay plus additional billings for an eight minute appointment where he rushed through everything? That doesn't seem right. I doubt I'll return to Cascade. took weed eater in for tune up....lol told me the rebuilt the carb.The oil grease and grit was still on it and had not been taken off.lol

Went in today to find a replacement fuel line for my generator and the lady at the front was very helpful and friendly. In the past they have also done tune ups on my push mowers. Great service would definitely recommend them. read more

If I had the ability to do a less star review I would! The latest and the last time I will ever use these thief's and liars. Its always 2 plus weeks to get anything looked at or repaired. we had to order parts. excuse after excuse, I bring in a chain saw that the pull cord came out on. should be a simple fix? 2 weeks and had to order the part. I get it home and a few weeks later i have a need for the chain saw. I get it out of shed check oil, gas and pull starter cord twice!! and it comes out in my hand !!! I am so pissed off about this i cant see straight. I say F busheler's and decide to look into fixing it myself. I order my parts online by brand and model number and get them sent to the house. I open the cover and carefully take it apart only to find used parts from another brand saw inside and jury rigged to operate! The parts are totally different than the online parts I ordered. The line looked cut. They didnt even put a knot in the end of the pull cord to keep it in place. it just pulled out!! I put the new pieces together re assembled the saw and proudly can say it works flawlessly! Friends don't let friend use Bushleer's! Read reviews about negative lady at front counter and well I just experienced. Went in for a lawnmower governor spring after I emailed to no response. She was very confrontational because I didn't bring the model number. I told her I wasn't looking for perfection just a spring that looks the same on my other 2 mowers with honda engines. She acted very confused and I asked if she could ask mechanic working about 15 feet away? She said I'm not pulling him off his work for this. Great business Don't waste your time here! read more

Another bad experience at this business. When I brought it in, they said it would be ready in a couple of days. It was over a week before they had it ready, and seemed annoyed when I called to check on it. Ok, I can live with that. But... When I first brought it in I asked for a new chain to be put on it, a new air filter, spark plug and replace the broken choke lever. When I picked it up, the new chain was taped to the saw in its box, not mounted as I had requested. They did put the new parts in, but when I got it home and fired it up a few days later, it would not idle, and basically quit after a few seconds of run time and then die. I rechecked the spark plug gap, (it was close), the air filter, it was ok, the fuel filter was clean, but the choke lever seemed crooked. Still, it wouldn't run correctly and refused to rev up and then die. The crappy thing about this all, was this saw ran like a champion for years without any problems, always started right up and idled just fine prior to bringing it in. Now I have a saw that I can't use. I'm going to take it elsewhere to see if someone else can do this properly. Very disappointing in their work! Would never go back there ever again, read more

Used to have Busheler's do my mower repairs. I will never do business with them again. Took a mower blade in to be sharpened and ordered two parts for my mower. The rude lady said one to two weeks on parts. No problem until two weeks later she left a message on my machine. I couldn't understand what she had said, so I went in. Upon arrival, the rude lady acted as if I was crazy by questioning me as to why I was there, what was it I wanted, and proceeded to argue as to how I wasn't being clear enough. After repeatedly berating me, and my politely answering her questions, she found my blade and had me pay for it. She had no idea about what had happened to my parts order, made sure that I felt like it was my fault, and after paging through her book, she found my order. She said she would get back to me and walked away. I asked if she would call me, and she said yes. I went home and within ten minutes I called two other repair shops and I am going there now to get the parts I need. I rarely leave reviews of any kind, for any reason, but f you enjoy abuse, or simply want to experience what I am talking about, do so at your own peril. read more

Do not waste your money,or time with this place. I took a rider mower and tiller there last summer to have some repair done. They did nothing more than charge the battery on the mower,after I told them that I thought it was the starter. Also I have never been able to start my tiller since. I firmly believe that because I am a female ,they think that we are all ignorant! I had to have someone else repair my mower, and GEE the starter was bad! So, because there are very few repair shops in Springfield, this week ,I need a couple small parts for a push mowers, I thought ,well maybe I could just get and air filter there ( never repair). It was Monday at 4:45,I walk in , a very rude man comes up front. I ask if he might hsve the parts I needed,and when I tried to explain what I needed,he very rudely corrected me on which engine that the part would fit,not even giving me time to show him the old one that I took with me. His attitude was pathetic! I try not to be live that because I am a female men like this think I am an idiot!! I am so sick of the (don't give a crap) if you do business with them or not! attitude that ,not only this business has but seems to be more and more prevalent everywhere you go. Avoid this shop at all cost's. If you choose to ignore this review, do so at your own risk. The lady that works at this place will verbally attack you from the word go. She is unbelievably angry and rude. Customer service is not a top priority for this place. We took our lawn mower in for a tune up. They told us it would take approx. 10-14 days and cost $90 for a tune-up. On day 12, we called the shop. The man on the phone told us it should be ready by Friday. I went in to pick up the lawn mower and as I stated earlier, made the mistake of asking the lady a question. After our "encounter, we got a call the next day stating our lawn mower was ready. They did not tune it up like we had requested. They changed the filter and plug and told us it was "fixed". Two weeks to change the filter and the plug. To top it off, we got one mow out of our mower and now it wont start at all. Again. Regardless of what they charge, you will soon find out it is NOT worth the hassle. I took a mower to them for repair. After not hearing anything from them for two weeks I called and was told that they had not started repairs because I had not authorized the amount yet. I told the lady yes I had authorized the cost and she said ok she would order the parts. Two more weeks went by and still no word from the shop. I called and the lady said the same thing as before......parts had not been ordered because I had not authorized the cost yet. I said yes, I did when I called you the last time. She then said "Oh ya you're right you did. OK , that's my fault I'll order those." Here we are now 6 weeks later from when I left the mower, and I have not heard a word. I called and some complete ASSHOLE said still waiting on a part. I asked if he had an ETA of when that would arrive and when my mower would be done and he said "When its done." I have a new Blue Max Chain saws that would die while cutting and then not restart until the following day. Was recommended to have it looked at by the distributor of the saw and was given Busheler's name as a place to have it checked by someone in the business. Took it to them, they had just moved to a new location and the woman at the counter indicated 3 weeks before they could look at it. I gave a long explanation of problem, which none was written down and got a call 3 weeks later it was done. No explanation of what was wrong or even given an estimate. The first time I was able to use it the same condition existed. Called them the following morning and explained the condition had not been corrected. His comment was not what can I do to correct or help fix it, it was SO WHATS YOUR POINT, we started it and it ran before we called you. $50.00 wasted on a new chain saw. They changed the spark plug, fuel filter and sharpened the chain, the saw had less then 3 hours on it. Hope you don't make the same mistake I did. If you take anything in for repair anywere, car, boat, lawn mower and you tell them what you are experiencing and they don't write it down or acknowledge what your concerns are, pick it up and walk away. If I could give a minus star review, I would. Everyone should check reviews before using this business. I'm not sure how they stay in business. I brought my chainsaw in because it would stall when cutting. I got the saw back, no longer stalled when cutting, but would not idle, motor would just stop. Took it back and explained what was going on. The woman at the counter proceeded to scream at me and ask me if I expected the business "to eat the cost". I said that I just wanted my saw to work right. There were several customers there who looked on and couldn't believe what happened. The woman informed me that it would be "14 days, not 8, not 9, before I would get a call". Never got a call. When I called, they couldn't find my saw. Finally, they said "oh, you are the one who said we didn't fix it right, we haven't looked at it". Long story short, they have had my saw for 2 months, and the last time I called, they said they would call back when they found it...I'm still waiting for the call. If you take any power equipment to these charlatans, you deserve the crappy service they will give you! read more
