Before our follow up visit unfortunately we had an emergency and got in right away. Dr honey was very thorough took her time explained and prepared us for the worst. We chose surgery to see if there was a blockage, and Dr. Vic was kind enough to come in on his day off. Unfortunately what they had found was (to far gone w/) pythiosis, There was nothing to save the dog, and it turned out to be a sad day. I cannot exspress Upmost kindness and support the staff showed us. The staff placed Willie in a lovely box to take him home in. We also received sympathy cards from the staff and Dr. Honey. That truly meant a lot to my husband and I . That shows me you love what you do for our furbabbies! THANK YOU! Sincerely Jeff and Suzi Carlisle

After pickup I called and asked the clipper if nails could be cut shorter? Only a question. The next day we received a UPS envelope saying that they were removing our animals from the practice and go elsewhere. I was devastated. The groomer had my animals kicked out over a question. This is unbelievable! In all those years I have never had a problem with anyone there! Very unprofessional!

I took him to the VEC ER on 466A in Fruitland Park, his temp was 107.8. I didn't realize how dangerous that high a temp can be, it is deadly..... does brain and organ damage. I was not told he really had very little chance of surviving. I was frantic and threw my credit card down for 3,000.00 to 6,000.00. They were able to get his temp down, and he stayed overnight. They called on Friday morning and said come get him, adding $400.00 to the $3,000.00 I had already paid. I brought him home, he didn't know who I was, and wouldn't eat anything and when he drank water, he had explosive diarrhea. Not only was his brain damaged but his organs were too. He just wanted to go hide under a large bush in the yard, and die. My vet came Saturday morning. Told me if a client comes to him with a dog with that temperature he recommends putting them down. They are basically toast. No one knows why his temp was so high, he was fine the night before, ate dinner, acted normal. Took his pills at 9:00pm. VEC diagnosed heat stroke, but he was in an air conditioned house, so clearly that wasn't it. He was an old dog, not sure how old, with health problems. I knew that when I adopted him a little over 3 years ago, but in spite of his problems, he was a happy, seemingly healthy boy. His blood work was always excellent. I am beyond devastated, and annoyed that the ER didn't tell me that he had almost zero chance of recovery, so he ended up suffering for two days while I thought he would get better. Now, I have a $3400.00 Visa bill, and a broken heart. I wrote them, to see if they would give me some grace on that exorbitant bill, but they didn't bother to respond. Beware.

If I could I would give 0 stars, our family dog is a Samoyed, a winter dog who is double coated. Our family has 3 dogs and have seen multiple groomers and never had a horrible experience like this. Our dog always gets a little wash and trim, she never gets matted and is the sweetest gentle dog ever. Dez is a groomer at this location who completely shaved off our dogs entire coat when we asked for a trim!! You can see down to her pink bare skin it looks so painful. Her double coat is for her health it should never be shaved down. Our family is so upset and will not be returning or recommending this groomer. Now she can't enjoy the sun outside, play outside, or go on walks because the sun will harm her. If you do not know how to work with Samoyeds, just say so!!!

After a week in Florida with Victoria, James, Sam, Tera, Emily, Rich and everyone else at HSD we went home with an amazing start on this service dog journey. He was fully potty trained, knew his leash manners, basic tasks, and skills far beyond what a "normal" 6 month old puppy does. The bond he formed with my daughter is unbreakable, he is always at her side ready to alert if she has a medical episode. He continues to grow and mature in his natural abilities as a service dog, he has genuinely made a life changing impact on her quality of life. He is a healthy and happy boy, passing all of his preliminary OFA testing as well as his annual OFA testing. His vet, having been in the business for many many years has complimented what a beautifully bred dog he is based on his condition, health, and temperament. At home he is a loving and cuddly member of the family, we are truly grateful to have him!

He is currently 1.5 years old and I essentially trained him from scratch. When I collected him at the end of the 6mo program, he was unable to heel (could barely loose leash walk) had no handler engagement, and could not perform any of the tasks I had requested. He was not fully housebroken and was EXTREMELY distressed in a crate, which concerned me given he should have had 4 months of crate & potty training by that point... this cost $19,500 and fell far short of what the program promised. I contacted Sam & Victoria regarding my concerns with the lack of performance, as well as breeding and training practices, after new information had come to light regarding multiple dogs bred by them with genetic & chronic issues. Because of my critical message, I was subsequently ignored by Victoria, removed from the private puppy owner group, and lost the promised lifetime support. I messaged them with the intent to listen fully if they had explanations for any of my concerns, but the result has cemented my belief that they are well aware of these issues in their program and are choosing to avoid responsibility and ignore the faults. I had high hopes for this program, but those are long gone. This organization is strongly overpriced for what you get, program descriptions are misleading, the puppies are taken out into situations they are nowhere near ready for and are overwhelmed and set up for failure, and there is an undercurrent of consistent health & behavioral issues among the dogs bred.
