I should have known when they had only been open a short time and I never saw a line that something was up. My husband isn't a big chicken fan so when he was out of town I decided to try it. Let me be clear, their rolls are awesome. That is all. Their chicken was tough and tasted as if it had sat under a heat lamp for several hours. A few months later my husband asked if I wanted him to pick up something for dinner and I said chicken. I never dreamed he'd go to Bush's but he wanted to surprise me. Boy did he ever. Visited this place for the first time today and i will definitely be back. I went through the drive thru and someone came out to take my order. I ordered and had my food in less than 7 minutes. It was still hot when i got it home and tasted sooo good! It's also very reasonably priced. This place is definitely a must try if you're looking for some good chicken & a quick dinner. read more

This was my 1st time at Bush's Chicken drove 20 miles to the location in Forney order 2 orders of the Tuesday special and 12 piece gizzards and was told that they don't have gizzards. My next question was is it just a wait or what and was told no we ran out of the gizzards the other day. My face drop like this is a chicken place that sells gizzards so why is it that this place don't have gizzards. And on top of it our chicken smells horrible. read more

Agree with a lot of posters here stating that the service is very poor. I come here a few times because my husband likes the chicken (personally I don't) and I ALWAYS get staffers who seriously hate their job or something. It's really sad. No happy "hi" or smile even when I great them with a friendly hello! With such bad service I don't even order extra. I order one thing and get the heck out of dodge. It really puts a damper on the environment and food. Honestly, they need to work on their customer service because I rather go to Chick-fil-A and pay more at that rate. read more

Food is good but my experience is not. The woman who helped me was rude and attitude-ish. If your in a rush I don't recommend you go here. They don't even have a normal drive thru. read more

Went to drive thru, young man was nice and friendly. Ordered 16 p tenders, mashed potatoes, green beans and sweet tea. Failed to double check the order, got home minus the green beans and mashed potatoes. Thank goodness he didn't forget to charge my card for it. Oh well, it was almost perfect. We go here ALMOST every Tuesday for the special, & 2!sides for $6. Most of the employees are really friendly and helpful- which are HUGE plusses to me (see my review of Chicken Express in Forney) and the food is sooooo good. Always. Every trip. My only complaint... I love their gallons of tea but man did they ever rai$e the price! Had to go back to buying jugs of Great Value tea at Walmart. I javen't even been to Forney's new Raising Cane's yet because Bush's is so consistently good! **6/20/19 UPDATE: SO disappointed. Went on a Thursday this time and spent 30-something dollars for a 20 piece meal and extra side. First time it's happened at Bush's, but we noticed the tenders were mostly little bitty nuggets And not the usual decent sized strips.... and 40% of it was tough, didn't taste fresh. NOT worth $30!!!! To make it worse, the Emo kid who waited on me was so incredibly rude And unfriendly. He was put off when he asked if I'd been helped & I said no.... then when I ordered a third side he stared at me for a second like he was perturbed and said 'do you want it family sized?' I said yes, he scrunched his mouth up and rolled his eyes, took my card & went inside. When he came out with the order he condescendingly asked if there'd be anything else and I said yeah, you know, I don't know if it's because I'm older or what your deal is, but when we come up here almost weekly, sometimes a couple of times a week, and spend our money... you could be A little damned nicer. He looked totally like he would've just loved to have told me to get bent. I have never lashed out like that but he has no business waiting on people if he hates everyone that badly. I just floored it and drove off. Maybe he was upset because his black nail polish was all coming off, I dunno. I'll have to see if we go back, or give Golden Chick a try once they open. Service sucked. Kids that worked were extremely rude. Management did not do anything about it. They laughed when no one was taking our order. The workers were also vaping in the bathroom and on the phone. None washed there hands on the way out ignored when asking for something read more

The food is always hot and fresh and not overly salty like some places do. If you do like salt I'd ask for the serindipity seasoning it's a spicy salt that is fantastic! read more

Been here only two times and it seems whoever is manager at the time is always in a grumpy mood! First time asked him if something was packed in the bag, I didn't know who he was he was just closes to me and his responsive was "idk I didn't bag it" then proceeded to do his own thing. Didn't think much of it probably having a bad day, second time he was there again same nasty attitude!! His cashier kept calling him over and he proceeded to ignore her until she said that I was here waiting for the order, he walked away and mumbled the order was wrong and not what was paid for. Not once did he take the time to pause for just ONE MINUTE to assess the issue I had to call on him asking if he was too busy to help me, very rudely said amounts don't match up. The good here is good. However, the service is completely awful. First off, the drive thru system sucks, then the car hop tried to "help" by charging me for a different meal than what the coupon I had was, and he charged me more and I didn't even get what I wanted. Very annoying. read more

We go and get the 'Tender Tuesday' special at least 2-3 times a month. I seem to remember that you used to also get a side with it, but adding 2 sides for $6 is still a great deal. We've always had fast and friendly service and great food except once. I got home and discovered my fries weren't there. When I called them they said no problem, just bring the receipt and they'll take care of it. The problem was that I couldn't find the receipt. I told them the exact time and exact amount of my order but they said there was nothing they could do without a receipt. It upset me so I didn't go back for a few weeks. But my boys love the chicken so we've started back again. I always make sure now that I check my order before I leave. I was in the restaurant business for many years and I realize that anybody can make a mistake. But I thought demanding a receipt was a little over the top. read more

The chicken is great I'll give them that, service is probably questionable. I waited almost 20 minutes for my meal , the girl forgot my food that I ordered and left out items I paid for? I said well hey maybe they're busy I'll be back. Second time going charged me for items and had to go back and ask for the items I paid for. That's ridiculous! Anyway the macaroni is trash ,mashed potatoes is trash and not worth adding. The corn nuggets are good and okra is average. I mean I wish Forney had other options like Popeyes or churches or golden chick where the other sides are as good as the chicken. Gave this place another try since they have been open a while now. Got the chicken tenders, a Mac and cheese side, and a drink. The tenders were actually hot and crispy, the place was dead and the chicken was already cooked so getting fresh tasting chicken was a plus. The only downside was the side. I just didn't care for their Mac and cheese. What you would expect from a fast food fried chicken restaurant. read more
