I knew it was gonna be a pricey one and Buss came in $800.00 less then many more well know spots in the treasure valley. They were great for communication and scheduling. Fast turnaround on the job. What made me most pleased was that I told them to change a part and they were very honest and said save your money it was not needed. Most places would of took the money and ran. This is the best auto shop I've ever dealt with. Their work is excellent and their prices are always better than I expect. They give a military discount and are obviously proud of their military relatives. They really impressed me by saying I DIDN'T need an expensive engine repair that they could have easily talked me into. It's something you'd normally get fixed, but this is an older vehicle that doesn't get much use so they told me to save my money since it wasn't a safety issue, it wouldn't cause a cascade of other problems, and I could fix it for the same cost later if the problem got worse. We had taken our vehicle to the Dealer to have some warranty work done and drove it away with a warning light still on. When I called the dealer to see if the light would go off they said they'd charge $90 for us to bring it back and to have the diagnostics run to find the problem. I took it to Buss Automotive and they ran the diagnostics, saw that the code hadn't been cleared from the dealership and fixed it for nothing! While my car was there, they also noticed the break fluid was low, causing another light to come on and off and fixed it right up for next to nothing!! They were fast, honest, did the job right the first time, and I felt totally comfortable that I wasn't getting ripped off. I highly recommend them!! read more

Service is great. They don't rip you off, they have fair LABOR prices. Buy your own parts if you want to save money. Joe buys top quality parts so that's why parts are so pricy, but it's still not a rip off. You get what you pay for, buy cheap parts, you'll be visiting him again when they break. I went in last year to have an oil leak fixed. It then had to be brought back 4 times to finally fix the leak. In the process they ruined my valve cover and had to replace it. The one they put on had the fill hole in the wrong place and is now under the air intake hose. When I first got it back it would die when I stopped. I took it back in and the technician said that is how he thought it ran when I brought it in. I told Joe, the owner that the only issue I had was an oil leak. He then realized that his technician did not set the timing properly. Also the ABS light came on while in their care. Joe said he would look into it and call me back. He never called! A year later my car was hesitating and I thought I would give Buss Automotive another try. I went in and asked Joe why he hadn't called. He really didn't have anything to say. I explained I wanted to give him another try. He called me the next day and said it was my fuel pump going out and that he was going to replace the relay for the ABS and see if that fixed it but I would have to bring in back at a later time when the relay arrived. I drove away and the car was still hesitating. I called on my way home after noticing that now my temperature gauge was not working. Joe said he would check with his technician and call me back. He never called me back. When I got home I decided to pop the hood and see if anything obvious was disconnected. I noticed that the cover to my ABS was missing as was one of the relays. After two days of waiting I physically went in to the garage. Joe was gone and the gal there took down my name and phone number on Joe's "to-do list." After two more days Joe still hadn't called me back to discuss any of the issues so I went and bought the ABS cover and relay because I didn't want water to get into the exposed wiring. After a year of issues I would not recommend Buss Automotive to anyone. I have tried this business twice and would strongly recommend everyone to stay away. If a person does not call you back, removes parts without telling you, replaces parts with the wrong part, and is professionally unaccountable then it is a person/business to stay away from. read more
