Their location is tough to reach for us but calling is hit/miss as no one in charge is ever available. We have to wait for a return call that may not come. To be sure we'd be seen we made an appointment but at the appointed time the salesman had no idea why we were there and we went home. That was a 3 hour waste of time. There was no followup explanation until I called to complain and THEN they apologized for the confusion and blaming the doctor although that was never mentioned at the appointment. We were told to call the doctor during the phone call but this was not mentioned during the appointment and we were not called with this advice. It only came when I called to complain.

He has cerebral palsy. 1- No headrest, 2- The footrest is not removeable and more than half of his foot protrudes which defeats the purpose of having a footrest. 3- The armrests are flimsy and the mechanism is riveted which means it will wear out and break easily. 4- My son barely fits in the chair making it uncomfortable for someone who sits on it all day. 5- The chair does not have hook rings to securely attach it when transporting him for appts. In addition, the back and forth involving mulitple discussions with this company has significantly increased my stress. I am an RN and while not a wheelchair expert I am aware of what constitutes proper body positioning. Rather than trying to work with me they have instead spent a considerable amount of time and energy insisiting that the wheelchair is fine. My next steps are to call the BBB and my congressman as this chair was paid for with both private insurance and federal funding.

The reason for two stars instead of one is because the customer service representative Edrian was very nice. He took all the information and also had my information so I knew he was aware of my account invoice. Just as requested a email came verifying the invoice was paid. I may unsubscribe from emails. They want you to download the app and set up recurring payments. I sure hope I don't need anymore medical equipment of any kind!! If I do I'll have to use whatever company NYU Langone uses.
