It's a decent charter bus. My hubby and I took the bus to go sightseeing. The drivers are always pleasant. The ride is pretty smooth. They have working outlets. However the busses aren't always clean. Sticky floors and floors littered with trash or dropped food. Some people will talk loudly on speaker or their music without headphones. Nothing is enforced. I suggest paying online. There is a restroom. It's very small, yet clean. However bring lysol wipes and hand sanitizer. read more

Today was my first time using Bustang service. Overall, I got from Point A to Point B (Colorado Springs to Denver), but Bustang was not at all clear WHERE I needed to catch the Bustang bus at the "Woodmen Par-n-Ride"...I finally discovered where it was after asking several people nearby. Unacceptable. Neither the bus driver nor anything inside of the Bustang bus indicated when I arrived at my particular desired Bustang stop in Denver...it made me VERY NERVOUS! The bus doesn't arrive or leave from the bus station in Grand Junction. Two block east there is an abandoned parking lot. Thats is where to bus is!. You can not see it from the bus station. The driver said he parks up there because he didn't has access to the bus station. There is a purple sign at the abandoned parking lot but they don't communicate the location change to passengers. The busses are comfortable and driver's are very nice. I have ridden numerous times and only had one older bus that rattled and the outlets did not work. It takes about an hour longer than driving. I would rather let them do the driving and I can relax. There is wifi so I can use my laptop or read. As a single rider the cost for me is about the same as driving. Pros: -price for ticket is reasonable and affordable -clean bus, air conditioned, lots of empty seats (traveling evening on a Friday) -can stow large luggage underneath the bus -kind and safe driver -bus takes express lane the whole way, skips traffic -station stops along the way take no more than 2-5 minutes each cons: -i sat near the front and there were two people who talked the entire ride to union station. i don't care if people talk obviously but they were speaking loudly and just didn't have a regard for other passengers. it sounded like one of them was a regular so don't sit up front as they seem to have their chosen spot up there. -takes 2 hours to get to union station from fort collins transit center. granted this is my first time using this bus and we drove during rush hour. As a first time rider, here are some recommendations/good things to know for future riders who have never ridden before! -take a jacket even if it's super hot outside it WILL get cold with the A/C -you don't need to enter any building at the fort collins transit center, you can hop on the bus right then and there. purple bus is not hard to miss! -allot at LEAST 2 hour transit time from foco transit to union station. the online schedule does not line up with live times. not sure if this is common or just with this specific ride/day/time -sit towards the back for less human interaction. i was hoping for a quiet ride to myself but it did not turn out that way for 3/4 of the ride. -i bought my ticket online through bustang and then accessed my ticket through the app. super easy and straight forward. would've given 4-5 stars if it wasn't for the loud talkers.. read more

A friend and I took a Bustang from Denver to Salida during a big snowstorm last week and I cannot praise our driver, Jamie M., enough!! Jamie drove us there safely and gave us such a smooth ride while battling snowy roads. Hopefully bustang works to improve its process. While it is a great affordable way of travel I have yet to have any of these busses be on time. normally arriving about an hour behind schedule. When making stops along the way the bus will wait a very long time even though they are behind schedule. it would be nice for this company to take itself more seriously and conduct itself professionally. When traveling to Denver to catch a flight this ends up causing many issues. Airports are becoming more and more difficult and this just adds to the stress of travel. If you are trying to catch another bustang in denver you will rarely ever make it. I would love to give a better review but this is the honest truth. read more

Their contractor ACE are theives. Do not have any sort of emergency or inconvenience that takes you past their "180 day" ticket window. They will steal your money and noteven offer you a credit, refund, or issue new tickets. Tobias claims he is their "Customer service and Dispatch Supervisor." And will abruptly hang up after saying the call has reached it's conclusion. Same with their "Operations Director." Who called me back after I escalated the matter to him. He called from a number that said "Scam Likely" on my caller ID. H erefused to give his name and acted the same as Tobias. Leading me to believe it wasthe same person. read more

Absolutely atrocious service on the Outrider. We first attempted to take the SE bound route from Monarch. Got to the stop about 25 minutes early. Waited over an hour until it was 40 minutes late. 0 updates or alerts. Attempted to take the same route from Buena Vista the next day. Same deal; 30 min early, no sign of the bus even when it was 10 minutes late. After multiple calls, we discover the route is operated by a 3rd party, NOT Bustang, and it was 40 minutes late to the previous stop. Again, no alerts about it being late. No alerts or any sort of information indicating we shouldn't have been looking for a Bustang. Wasted upwards of 8 hours attempting to find the wrong bus and having to then behave as the bus myself. Had we trusted Bustang, we would have frozen to death on Monarch waiting for a bus that would never come. Completely insane. read more

Outrider. False advertising. Wi-Fi never works, outlet plugs rarely work. Rarely on time, especially in the winter. Bring a power bank and enough water and snacks for several hours longer than expected. If your bus breaks down on the switchbacks on the way up to Winter Park, do not expect a refund. Hello, I have been using the Bustang service for almost a decade now and I have enjoyed the service a lot. But recently to note, I traveled on a Bustang - West Line Route from Denver Union Station to West Glenwood and I had the most professional bus driver named Karl. Not only was he thorough, helpful and friendly; he had a remarkable way of controlling the bus and keeping the center of gravity aligned through every turn. I really can't describe how professional and adapt his techniques truly were. I was able to work on my laptop the entire time with my normal motion sickness never actually being felt. He was respectful and kind to every passenger and arrived promptly and punctual to every stop. I will be hoping to get him as a driver every time! First ever review of anything online. Trip with Pegasus service delayed 2 hours with notification coming through at 1am, about 6 hours before departure. Unable to make this delayed departure because it would cause me to miss a flight. No way to even get a refund so far. No explanation for the delay (weather is fine). If you care about timing, recommend booking another service that will run more reliably. Some delay would be understandable, but this long one coming through at such a late hour so close to departure time and leaving very little opportunity for alternative travel arrangements is quite bad. read more

Bustang is our lifesaver. Our Amtrack was delayed five hours but Bustang was easy to find, book and a smooth ride down to Denver.

I needed to get from Colorado Springs to Denver on Saturday. I checked their schedule on the website and saw that the only two departures were at 7:45am and 8pm. Which is ridiculous and misses almost any potential customers who rely on this service. So I thought 'surely this is a mistake?' and called them to ask for their schedule. The woman who picked up was INCREDIBLY rude. She kept talking over me and it took a while to even get the words out to explain the issue. I ended up having to shout over her just to explain my question, which I truly try to avoid. Customer service is a sucky job and most of the representatives you meet are as stuck as you are. Unfortunately, this was "customer service." First, she argued with me that their website doesn't say 7:45am, while I was looking at their webpage bus schedules where it says that it does leave at 7:45am (random side note, I often take the scheduled 7:45 AM Saturday bus FROM Denver on Saturdays and they always leave at around 7:20 instead, which probably screws over a lot of people). But then she dropped the bomb. It leaves not at the already ridiculous 7:45am that their website AND APP both claim, but at 4:50am!!! For context, the Colorado springs buses start running at 6am, over an hour after this bus is supposed to pick you up from the downtown terminal. Now, I want to do a thought experiment. Why do most people ride the bus? Answer: lack of other transportation. And Colorado Springs is a big town with 500,000 people across 200 square miles. So if you don't have other transportation, how are you supposed to get downtown to catch the bus to Denver? Buy an Uber that's going to cost 3x the bus to denver charges just to get to the bus stop a few short miles away? That's also ridiculous. And if you ARE taking that 4:50am bus, you'd have to be up at practically 2am for that, and you'd *still* need a way to get there to the downtown terminal. (Another sidenote, I live on the south side of town, so there aren't any closer Bustang stops than this) So in my frustration and disbelief, I said something like "what f****** idiot came up with that?" and tried to explain why it makes no sense and should change. I was very aggressively told that Bustang doesn't set their own schedules and that I need to call CDOT. So I did. And they were baffled as to why I was calling. They told me they are "two separate entities from each other" and have no association, and that I had to call them to get anything changed. They were even surprised that Bustang told me to call them because "that's their business, though." So I called Bustang back and got the same idiot on the phone as the first time. I told her it was sh***y to lie to customers like that and I wanted to speak to her boss. Who was equally as rude and also lied, saying he and Bustang have no control over their own schedules that I needed to call CDOT. I hung up, mostly PO'd at him, but also mildly embarrassed, wondering if I called the wrong department the first time. So I immediately called a different department of CDOT, and they again were baffled because CDOT doest control Bustang schedules. I asked them if being transferred to any other department would help, and their only suggestion was that first department I already called. So now I'm out two Bustang tickets and an expensive concert, all because Bustang are lazy, rude liars who would rather send you to a completely separate, non affiliated agency to solve their issues than try to help. And I'm lucky, I just had a concert. How many people are getting screwed on medical appointments and visits to family, work even? read more

Just a bad system honestly. I bought my ticket online, the bus came a little late and then said he has only 10 spots. There were about 30 of us. The 10 who were closest to the bus door got in, while the rest were left to figure things out on their own. This is 2024, can there be a better system to do this? It's a bus service that travels throughout Denver, for really affordable fare. You can download the app to purchase your tickets, pay on the bus in cash with exact fare, or purchase tickets through Greyhound. I booked my ticket same day going west to Grand Junction for 7am to get off at the Frisco stop. The bus didn't depart Denver's Union Station until 9:45 am. Another rider happened to check Bustang's Twitter account where they mentioned the night before that the bus would have a 2 hour delay, and expected to leave at 8:45 am. Not 2, but 3 hours delayed, we didn't get another Twitter updated. Leaving Frisco to Union Station, the bus was delayed ~30 minutes, and there was no update via their Twitter account. A few days later I took the bus from Union Station to Grand Junction and back. The bus arrived and departed on time each time on this route. It looks like the I-70 route is always problematic with traffic and road conditions, but for the price, I would account for delays and sometimes cancellations. Now, moving forward, I would refer to their Twitter account for any updates since the updates are not given on the app. I also tried to call their 1-800 number, but I was never routed to a human and the automated system does not mention delays and only provides the listed schedule that is available on their website. read more

Bustang worked very well for us!! We had Amtrak tickets, roundtrip Denver to Glenwood. The train to Glenwood was awesome--beautiful scenery that you don't see from I-70. But when it came time (two days later) to return to Denver the eastbound train was delayed, not by just a little, but by 9 hours. A quick search and consultation with locals led us to the lifesaving Bustang, which has four departures a day from Glenwood. One fit our schedule perfectly. Purchased tickets through their app, boarding was efficient, and I-70 on a ski weekend Sunday is much better if someone else is driving. Downside: when the bus is full they don't let you on, so passengers were left stranded in Vail and Frisco. Bustang has an extensive route system throughout the state, definitely check it out if you don't want to drive or, like us, are stranded somewhere. read more

Dealing with this bus company is an experience I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. They canceled my friend's ride last minute and promised a refund, which she hasn't seen yet and it's been MONTHS. When she politely asked about it on Twitter, they ignored the post faster than their bus drivers speed past stops. While the bus is somewhat reliable. The amount of buses available is far and few. Too early in the morning to be honest. The bus stands are very basic no shelter in winter. Also the Bustang route for DTC is a smaller van. Really bunny ride. They keep saying their buses are broken down and so the van. But if you compare ridership between DTC and their downtown routes. DTC shuttles are fuller. Yet they only send smaller crappier shuttles. May be as working professionals we don't don't complain much I suppose. Their buses are nicer. More comfortable to ride. Toilet is more like a RV toilet but at-least there is one. I really hope we start seeing buses for the DTC route as well. They claim they are part of RTD but they don't accept Eco Pass. read more

I have to do this in a 2 part review. Part 1: (Denver union station - Frisco transfer station I arrived 45 minutes early and the bus arrived 20 minutes early. By the time we were loaded up we had a couple minutes to spare and departed right on their schedule. Ride went smooth, arrived on time to Frisco transfer station. Part 2: (Frisco transfer station - Denver union station) Arrived 30 minutes early and bus arrived on expected arrival time. The bus driver stepped out and said only 7 seats for everyone and I entered panic mode. People were pushing each other and 10-12 people did not make the bus and likely had to reschedule flights. I was at the front and was literally the last person of after basically begging the bus driver. on board. Rode back sort of in shock. Bus driver was nice and it wasn't his fault in any way but the management should add more routes on certain days to avoid this. I would pay a few more dollars to have more routes that don't have this problem. read more
