My son attended there for two months at the end of 2020 in the toddler room. The teachers and directors are absolutely amazing. They have an app to get constant updates and photos/videos and they all have been very accommodating to certain needs I had in order to support the work being done with my son's speech therapist and nutritionist. They also take Covid-19 very seriously. They don't allow anyone but the children inside the building(pickup/drop off is done on the porch), teachers and students over two always wears masks(and parents have to wear masks at pickup/drop off), they take the temp of the children and parents at drop off, and every day when I would pick up my son I could see teachers/aids through the window in the door cleaning/sanitizing toys. Also, the few times they did have a potential threat they closed the school for a week, longer in the rooms where the threat occurred, and had professional sanitizing done in the entire facility. Yes, it was a pain to go without childcare for a week or two but we didn't have to pay for that time and I personally think it is worth it for the safety of my family. However, in December my son was suddenly diagnosed with a cancerous tumor. In fact, it was the detailed reports from Kindercare about my son's urine output and behavior change that helped us determine something was wrong and led to the discovery that he has a tumor in his bladder. Being non-verbal at almost two we may not have discovered it as soon without their thorough attentiveness and feedback. Needless to say this was a very emotional and stressful time for our family and the angel of a director started a meal train, as well as working with the staff and families to put together a giant gift basket of toys and snacks for my son. The outpouring of support from the staff and the other families(who didn't even know us) has been absolutely overwhelming, in the best way possible. Just writing this brings tears to my eyes. We had only been with them for a few months, but we were already a part of the family. They held our spot, at no charge, and now that we have a grasp on handling his cancer treatments, we will be returning later this month. They are letting him return to the toddler room, even though he has since turned 2, because it's familiar and he's a bit out of sorts right now from everything he's going through. They will wait to move him to the 2 year old room until he gets comfortable being back. In the short time my son was there last year his language and social development increased DRAMATICALLY. He's still non-verbal, but before we had to take a leave of absence he was so close to talking I could taste it!!!! I can't wait to get him back there as soon as possible. To say they are amazing is an understatement!

The kids don't watch television. They do arts and crafts, have dance parties, sing songs, and play outside. My daughter has a peanut/tree nut allergy. Joanna is familiar with Epipens, luckily we have never had an incident! She is very easy to reach via text, and responds quickly. She cares about all the kids. She asks about my daughter's weekend and tells me funny things she did that day. I will continue to use Joanna until my daughter goes to school. I am happy I found her.

We attended an open house event, took the plunge, and so glad we did. Every single staff member is friendly, warm, competent, and caring. There hasn't been turnover issues like most places, and it shows that the team is happy. We are always greeted by name, and it feels like a big family. KAMP is also very involved in the community which is nice. Our teachers, Ms. Kim and Ms. Monika are so amazing; I can't say enough good things about them. They care about the kids like their own. Chef Mike whips up nutritious and tasty foods. The leadership, Ms. Natalie, Ms. Maxine, and Ms. LuAnn (interim) are fantastic. KAMP is not inexpensive, but well worth the value. I first went here two years ago, as the church hosts a Mom-Baby group for first-time moms, sponsored by NW Community Hospital. Through it, I got to get to know other moms (who now host their own home playgroups) and talk to perinatal educators one morning a week. Those outings were extremely valuable and probably saved my sanity. (It meets every Tuesday from 10-11:30 am). The church also offers Parents' Day Out, a one-day a week Christian childcare program. Open to kids 6 mos-5 years, PDO is staffed by teachers and kids attend from 9:30-1:30. Tuition for the 9 month school year is $73/month for kids under 3 ($63/month for kids 3+). Again - a sanity saver. I'm not in the market for a church, but if I was, I'd give First Presbyterian serious consideration - mainly for the kid/family programs and ministries. The consistency of staffing and lack of turnover are truly unique and it is one of the primary factors that led us to AMT in the first place (and we have not been disappointed!). They also send updates throughout the day and a report at the end of the day, so we were always aware of what they were doing at school. I cannot recommend Goddard enough!
